Mr. O rather enjoyed the site of this gem using his bow and arrow, it was such a simple weapon. Alot of gem carried swords or other close combat weapon, it was nice to see Agate had a unique style weapon. "Huh. I never thought about retrieving it..." O had moved to say something but... Agate had already jumped into the water, some water splashing up onto the deck.
Mr. O had vanished from sight again for only a moment, just long enough to avoid the water coming at him, then reappears in the same spot and completely dry. "Here's the new challenge, kiddo." Opalite watched the ball wiz around on a seeming set path, "I forgot about your little ball trick! This really is something sweetheart!" He said giving Yellow a happy look... well he always looks happy but one could tell he seemed to be grinning a bit more then normal this time around.
Looking at Agate clapping his hands together, "Welp! Im rooting for ya darling!" as he spoke in a joyful tone he had also given Agate a few pats on the head, his long slender fingers ruffling the gems hair slowly.
Agate wasn't having any luck finding his own target, until Yellow spoke up and he saw the odd ball whizzing around. Simple enough, but a bit faster than a fish. He took a few steps backwards and watched it. He focused for a long while, guessing it's flight path. He was about to shoot until something just... clicked. He always was able to focus his vision to see great distances or details, albeit at the cost of his other senses, but suddenly he was able to focus on the ball and predict it's flight path almost perfectly. He paused as he predicted the ball's path, unable to move or hear anything else. All he could really see was the ball, blind to everything around him. In one movement he brought up his bow and fired, and his vision returned to normal. He wasn't sure if that was just training or what. But it was new. And it was cool!
He desummoned his weapon and jumped excitedly, "Did you see that!?" It was mostly irrelevant whether or not he hit it, but unlocking a new ability was awesome! "I just stopped and watched it and it was like... I don't even know! Like I could see where it was going to go..." He turned to the two of them, "Can I learn more stuff like that?"
Agate was successful in knocking the ball off of it's path of trajectory, and though Yellow Amber didn't show it, there was a part of him that was unnerved that Agate managed to knock his ball off it's trail on his first time, "My, my. You're really good at this, kid." He told Agate as he reached out and caught the ball, "With aim and accuracy like that, I reckon I don' have much to teach you, Agate." He explained, fizzling the ball into his gem.
Yellow Amber glanced at Mr. O, "Now then, Shouldn't you be back on Homeworld with the higher-ups?" Yellow Amber asked him, taking a few steps towards Mr. O. The mission stank as is, but the presence of Mr. O made him all the more suspicious about the Triarchy holding out such information from him.

The tall gem clapped with joy as Agate made the shot on his first time, O HAD to nudge Yellow with an even more stupid looking grin then normal, "He is rather good eh?! Almost as good a shot as yourself! Oh-hohoho!" Mr. O enjoyed how much talent Agate seemed to have for only just starting to understand his abilities. "Can I learn more stuff like that?" Agate seemed so happy to want to learn more things, Mr. O looked at again placing both hands onto his hips.
His cane standing by itself next to him as O seemed to think, "Hmmm... why im sure you can! It may surprise you to know this... but I didn't always have such magnificent swagger and skill! In time im sure you have more things to learn!" O didn't lie here, he may have been very old, but when he was as young as Agate... he was a bit different then the cool and collected Mr. O we all know and love.
Yellow stepping towards Mr. O made him reach his hand out to grab hold of his cane and lean onto it slightly, "Now then, Shouldn't you be back on Homeworld with the higher-ups?" O held his same large smile as his unblinking gaze locked onto Yellow, "Hmmm.... In a box... with no hinges or locks, yet golden treasure lies within! What is it?!" Oppalite of course still loved his riddles... maybe he might tell Yellow what he is here for if he knows this human style riddle.

"Ugh... what was all that racket up there? How is a gem supposed to get any sleep around here with .. what sounded like a compilation of Booms, Bangs, Noisy Footsteps, Laughter and......wha... dying seagulls, ringing in their ears?!" Carbide's eyes flutter open and adjust to the water all around her, blinking in disbelief as a few singed seagull feathers float past her field of view in the current...
"Okay, thats it, I'm up, nap's ruined.." She lifts off the sandy bottom of the bay where the docks were located, settling on her gravity connectors in the shallow water.. perhaps 8 or so feet deep from where she had been napping underneath the pier in the shade. She crouches down then pushes upwards towards the surface..
To the gems up above, they would see a swell in the water at the edge of the dock, a hand shoot up out of the water and grasp the weather worn planks, and then a figure, pivoting with its hand grasping the pier, shoot up from the water, sending droplets everywhere, in a end over end cartwheel, her boots touching down with a heavy loud THUNK on the dock as she releases her grip and stands up, giving her hair a toss and sending a ripple of energy down her body that makes every last droplet of water that clung to her, fly off in a sunlit shower.
Fists clenched at her sides in mild annoyance, she spins around and faces the crowd she's landed a few feet from, her eyes, being more in tune with dim lighting conditions, now out in the bright sun, still adjusting to the faces and figures before her..."Okay .. I don't expect things to be completely silent around the docks, but I was under water even.. and yeesh.. could you please keep it down to a roar?" She stands there, hands now resting on her hips, leaning in with an eyebrow cocked, as a very tall slender gem.. with a t-top hat??? .. comes into focus first.. "Ohh my!..." then a familiar small blue gem.. and some yellow figure in a broad brimmed hat.
Agate chuckled to himself, it was hard to imagine Mr. O without his regal demeanor. That and Opalite cracked another one of his signature riddles. If there was one thing Agate missed about him was his funny use of riddles. Obviously he had never seen the sinister side of Opalite, so to him they were just silly games. He watched as Amber thought about the riddle for all of a few seconds before there was a sudden splash and water went flying all around them. He instinctively raised his arm to protect his face, drops of water landing all over him. When he lowered his arm his smile dropped and his eyes went wide. "could you please keep it down to a roar?" There stood the very familiar gem Carbide. Seemingly out of nowhere, spat from the see itself. He looked over at Opalite, then Carbide, then back and forth a few times. His eyes settled on Opalite, watching his reaction. Then he started laughing nervously, "Um... heh... heh... Mr. O this is Carbide... Carbide, Mr. O... I think you've uhm... met before..." He shuffled awkwardly in place, he could almost feel the tension in the air.
"He's pretty good, I'll give him that." Yellow Amber replied to Mr. O, he knew the kid would need more training before he'd be ready for anything related to Homeworld missions, "He needs some more trainin' though. When I emerged, I was tossed right into the wild as a scout, the wilds of the universe have been my home for so long." He grinned, "Nyo-h'oh, I wouldn' have it any other way, though."
Yellow Amber groaned a bit, he had heard rumors this Mr. O guy was eccentric but at this point it seemed like they watered down 'out-right weirdo' to avoid any trouble with the higher-ups, "Er, I'm no good with riddles, partner. I'll just ask White Diamond when I get the chance, she'll sort it all out." He told Mr. O adjusting his coat in the process, his attention turned to Carbide, he flashed a small grin, "Well, I'll be. Who do we have here now?" He asked, the fingers on his right hand wiggled a bit and his stare became slightly more intense.
He looked over at Agate, "Who's this now... Carbide, was it?" Yellow Amber asked, looking over at her, "I may have a few questions for 'em." He told Agate, approaching Carbide.

Mr. O seemed to twitch a moment at the sound of "ask White Diamond when" White Diamond always made Mr. O.... off. She was the only gem that Mr. O would act almost normal around... she didn't care for his grand standing. "If thats how you want to go about it then!" He paused to let out a slight sigh from his still smiling face, "No fun... there are more then a few reason as to why my lovely touch was needed for this quest..." O had slowed his speech as something caught his eye from the water.
Jumping out from the water sending water all across the dock they were standing on.... getting Mr. O slightly wet. He knew this gem the moment she landed and started talking, a voice is something easy to remember for the tall gem. He remained un-moving, his bright white eyes locked onto Carbide. As Agate spoke O seemed to not notice him, or even Yellow talking didn't draw any movement out of him.
He stood perfectly still, the smile still painted across his face, his right hand still holding onto his cane as he leaned slightly onto it. His face remained still and and just stared at Carbide, nothing seemed to be able to break his glare.

Carbide’s eyes, now completely tuned in to the surface levels of light, flit back and forth once, taking in the crowd she has dropped in on, Agate standing there looking somewhat uncomfortable – bless his little facets - … she remembered her promise that she would keep things.. non violent.. with Opalite, and at least see where things went.
If she had a heart, in the truly organic sense, it probably would have jumped when she landed on the pier and all but drenched her old mission handler from homeworld, but her previous conversations with Agate, informing her of his presence on Earth, had readied her for the eventuality that she would bump into him sooner or later. She just never figured it would be so soon, or quite so literal, in the ‘bumped into’ sense. “Well Carbide, she thinks to herself, you’re in it now, there’s no toodling off into the sunset for you right now, you were hoping to get face to face with Opalite again some time or another anyway..”
Her stance remains firm but not aggressive as she glances to the side, noticing Yellow Amber approaching her, apparently with some questions or topics of personal interest he wished to discuss, but it would have to wait just a few seconds..
She takes a slow but deliberate stride forward, closing the distance with the tuxedo clad gem, returning her gaze to that grinning gem, strangely silent before her, leaning on that cane of his, hat kanted just so..”Well well well, the infamous “White Ringmaster of Home world” speechless? Remarkable, for you, but then again, I just might not know what to say either,.. had something turned up, not where I had ..LEFT it..” She twitches her cheek, bearing a couple permanent marks, reflections of some plasma scarring on her gem. Her tone of voice darkens a shade as she speaks the word “LEFT”, after all, He knew what she meant.
Agate watched the two friends of his finally meet after so long, his face going from a nervous smile to a blank stare. He said he'd keep things from getting violent if he had to, but he knew he wouldn't be able to do that. He couldn't fight another non-corrupted gem, let alone a friend. 'I may have a few questions for 'em.' Agate turned to Amber and grabbed at his sleeve, not exactly hard but enough to get his attention, and simply shook his head. It'd be best not to complicate the situation with either of them getting between them. This was between Carbide and Opalite. Once they got this settled, however that would be, they could figure out what to do from there. Whether or not Amber listened Agate just stood there and watched the two of them, keeping himself just a couple feet away.
Yellow Amber's face looked calm as he twirled his right pointer finger around now, on the inside he was rather disappointed that he had to deal with such obstacles in his mission. "Can we hurry this up, I'm not one for sittin' around an' having my time wasted by whatever quarrel you two can sort out later." His tone was calm and stern, he knew Agate didn't want him getting between these two, being on Agate's bad side would lose him a shot at some immense potential. But sometimes, the mission just has to take priority, and Yellow Amber knew better than to allow himself to be wrapped up in such pointless ordeals that didn't concern him, as the prime scout for White Diamond, Yellow Amber only accepted the best results from his missions and a quarrel between an Opalite and Carbide wasn't something this mission could benefit from.

"not where I had ..LEFT it.." Mr. O remained un-moving... like a statute as he watched Carbide speak. His eyes noticed every change... not change in her movements but change in her style... her eyes... those burns on her face. He was aware of where he had left her but something couldn't escape his mind, how? How is it this gem got off of that forsaken husk of a planet? "Oh-hohohohoho! My, my... I can say I HONESTLY did not see this one coming! Bravo darling! Just.... bravo." His voice was slightly distorted as he spoke.
"Can we hurry this up, I'm not one for sittin' around an' having my time wasted by whatever quarrel you two can sort out later." Opalite glanced towards Amber... "Always in such a rush! You ARE aware that we all might be on this backwater dirt ball for quiet awhile, right hun?" He said as he returned to glaring at Carbide... what a interesting little gem!
"Soooo.. I have to know sweetheart..." He seemed like he was going to ask her about how she had gotten off the planet he had stranded her on, "How did you let yourself go like this! You use to be so pretty... you look wider!" He clapped his hands together once almost out of joy by his own passive aggressive comment. In a small way he was almost semi - happy this gem had found her way off of that rock, she was indeed a talented gem though he would never tell her this of course.

"How did you let yourself go like this! You use to be so pretty... you look wider!"
Carbide grinned to herself, it was clear that Mr O was still very much himself, even after 900 years. She takes a graceful stride forward, leaning in, getting right face to face with the grinning gem, giving her iridescent hair, voluminous and choppy, a catty combing through with one hand, ending in a little flip of the strands against his nose..
"Why, Opalite, I'm shocked you even need to ask. Letting myself go? Why I picked it up off you, after all you USED to be able to nail the broad side of a planetary galaxy warp with the 'Index Cannon' of an Emerald Class Hand Ship hanging in low orbit..But the fact that I'm here now standing before you is proof enough of your own skill's tarnish... besides, from what I've gleaned off fringe world transmissions, the Gem in charge of this little insurrection, has some pretty phenomenal curves herself."
Carbide was letting all her moxie out, watching Opalite stand there, his expression seeming glassy and stoic to others around, but to one as familiar as she was with him, she could tell that she had stumped him good, and it felt good too.
Agate watched as Yellow threw himself into the ring, although the two gems did a good job of ignoring him. By now he was feeling incredibly awkward seeing this altercation between friends. Both were acting incredibly out of character, although he didn't know either of them for as long as they knew each other. He'd never seen either of them so... vicious. He sorta expected Carbide to be well... sassy. But Opalite... Doubts creeped in. He shook his head free of such thoughts, but he still didn't know what to do, or even if he should be doing anything. For now he just stood there, mostly out of shock, and watched the two of them go at it. At least it hadn't gone violent... yet...

His face remained un-moving even as Carbide swooshed her hair past his nose, "... besides, from what I've gleaned off fringe world transmissions, the Gem in charge of this little insurrection, has some pretty phenomenal curves herself." while he had heard everything little miss moxie here had spoke that last bit stuck out a bit, "The Gem in charge of the rebels?! What of this gem is there to know? Other then the curves your wishing you had, hmmmm?!" His grin somehow grew slightly larger after his last little remark before returning thought to what else she had said...
"And trust me sweetheart.... If I wanted you dead... Íd̛ have ͝s̴͟há̢ţ̕͝te̕r̴ed́҉ ̧̡͟y͟ǫ͜u͞͏ ͏͞m̴͞ỳ̛͡s̴͡e͞l҉̕f̢͢!̶̨͝ Oh-hoh͏̵o̵h̴͟͡ò̡h̛͘o̵!" His voice grew darker and distorted as he delivered a personal truth when something pinged in the back of his mind.... Agate was here... he slowly turned his head as he realized how, dark he just sounded before the young gem. His smile faded slightly as he looked at Agate, turning his head back to Carbide... which might have been even worse! He didn't want to seem so dark before Agate yet he couldn't show weakness while Carbide was here.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
