Pye listened intently, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them, "I'm afraid exploring was 'too dangerous' according to Pyre. I've mostly just been to gem locations like here, the sea spire, and the hub. Though... don't tell him but I may have snuck off into a human town here and there..." She giggled, as partners they had to trust each other fully, but she had to go see new things. If he found out he'd positively flip out, though she knew he suspected something. "I wish I could say I didn't know what it meant to be so alone, but at least that's something we have in common I suppose. Though, the idea of being your own gem..." Her eyes practically sparkle, "Pyre is adamant we stay loyal to Homeworld, and I sorta see where he's coming from... but... I can't help but feel some sympathy towards this planet. I wouldn't go so far as to join any rebel factions, but still. You're a lucky gem. At least you got out easy, I wasn't so lucky..." Pye, without realizing it, raised a hand to the gem on her chest.
She eyed Carbide as she stood up, but resigned herself to the fact that she truly didn't mean any harm. She stood up with her and followed down towards the entrance of the cave. Not even for a moment did she think to back-stab, literally, this new gem. "I certainly hope they didn't get into too much trouble while we were gone..." Her voice trails off as she hears the commotion, and finally spots her companion in arms.
Outside, Pyre was still running at full speed. He noticed he couldn't hear the ground behind him being turned up by a pursuing gem. In fact he was able to travel with relative peace. It was disturbing. He took a glance behind his back, just in time to see a spiked shield whizzing for his back. He couldn't stop in time to dodge, nor could he afford the time. He brought up his arm to block the shield as it connected with him. Instead of knocking him off his feet his body seemed to lock up for a moment as the force behind the blow was dispersed through his entire body. The shield fell harmlessly to the ground as he continued forward. As he turned he was surprised to see the other gem standing there, waiting for him. On top of that, Pye was just behind her. She seemed unharmed, as didn't appear to be captured in any way. 'Wait!' He didn't hesitate till Pye spoke up, "Pyre! Stop this fighting right now!" The gem slid to a halt, heels grinding into the dirt.
He stopped just a few feet away from the two gems, clutching his hammer to his chest, "Why is it I can't even sleep for a few hours without you getting into some fight with a random group of gems who were just minding their own business?" She glared at him, she wasn't usually the one in charge, but man could she scare some sense into him from time to time. "I was... uh... sitting and.... voices... and... protecting..." Pye held up a finger, silencing him. "Just... put the weapon away and take a deep breath, relax." Pyre, not wanting to back down so easily in front of others spoke up, "We don't have to breath-" Her look stopped him dead, his weapon dissipated as he crossed his arms over his chest. Once he was under control Pye nodded towards Fulgurite and gave Carbide a look that said something along the lines of "Now yours"
