If Pallasite were to become corrupted, she will take on the monstrous form of the Cephalopod. The Cephalopod is a disgusting squid-like being that one would think would come out a Lovecraftian horror. When on the ground, the Cephalopod would stand nearly 12 meters (40 feet) tall. Its skin is grey, rubbery and coated in mucus. It possesses to large tentacles that it can use to bash away foes while it uses it other eight tentacles to tip-toe across the landscape should it wish to. These eight tentacles are also covered with small claw like graspers on the inside. All ends of the tentacles are coated in a hard, lime-green glassy material coating the tips of the tenticals. The creatures mantle, there are two large orbs that take on the appearance of polished pallasite. The actual gemstones however are located in its large central eye, embedded within the double pupil structure. Below the eye are two large nostrils the are used to make loud bellowing sounds.
The Cephalopod retains Pallasite’s abilities of magnetic manipulation and gravity manipulation. This allows the gem monster to float wherever it wishes, appearing as if though it was swimming in the air. When attacking, it will make use of its large bashing tentacles to crush foes into submission. It can also attempt to devour enemies by enveloping them within its 8 smaller tentacles and use its beak-like mouth to devour them. It can also emit disruptive magnetic pulses that can disrupt electronics for a short distance and can temporary disable gravity momentarily to make its attackers more vulnerable to attack as they float in a zero gravity field.

Pallasite, if she were to stand on the ground, would stand 173 centimeters (5 feet and 8 inches). However, Pallasite usually floats about 25 centimeters (10 inches) off the ground. This can make her appear much taller than she actually is. If she were to speak with anyone taller than herself, she will float higher off the ground until she is at eye-level which can give the illusion that she is as tall as the person she is speaking with. Her skin color is a hue of blue-grey while her “clothing” are a shade of grey and dark grey with yellow green decals. Her clothing looks like something what the 60’s would think as space age design. In the middle of her chest is an orb of what looks like polished pallasite. She wears curvy forearm sleeves that are grey in color with two yellow-green octagons on each. She wears a rounded curved, skirt that almosts reachs her kneecaps. On this skirt hand eight ribbons that hang from her waist with yellow-green hexagons and triangles interrupting their continuous flow.
Her hair is best described as looking like long strands of layered kiwi green fettuccine noodles with a distinct frayed curl of hair the covers where her right eye would be located if she had right eye. Some of her fettuccine hair extends outward like little wings on the side of her head. In her are also two large pallasite hemi-spheres that decorate her hair, much like the one described earlier on her chest. The sclera (whites of her eye) is pale green-blue, her diamond shaped iris and pupil being green and lime-green respectfully. It should be noted that her pupil is almost constantly moving about, as if she is trying to look at multiple objects at one time and making her appear somewhat skittish. Pallasite face is perfectly rounded. On her cheeks she wears her yellow-green gemstones. On her left (the one that tends to be more visible) is Magnetitie’s gem which is an octagonal cut while her companion gemstone on her right cheek is, associated with Fayalite, is a squished trillion shaped cut gem. Her nose combines elements of Fayalite’s pointed nose and Magnetite’s long nose into a classical celeste shaped nose while her mouth small, barely fitting in between her two gemstone cheeks. By default, she usually wears a blank, emotionless expression on her face.
Personality:
Pallasite exhibits a child-like curiosity of the Earth and all of its novelties. She is always trying to understand the function of earth’s organic lifeforms and likes to discover the purpose of many different gizmos and tools produced by the native humans. Pallasite is exceptionally observant, noticing minuscule details that many others would simply miss or ignore. She obsesses over every little detail when making observations but somehow comes up with questionable conclusions to explain what she sees. Pallasite is somewhat socially awkward, always nervous to start conversations with strangers but brave enough to at least an attempt conversation if isolated. Ironically enough, Pallasite tends to feel more alone in large groups, preferring instead the company of a small group of individuals at most. Pallasite shies away from people who yell at her or think of her as annoying or dumb as she doesn’t wish to be a bother. Pallasite dislikes the idea of fighting and generally does her best to avoid any sort of confrontation. If she finds herself in an argument, Pallasite will usually back down, only risking a verbal fight when dealing with a subject has great passion for. When forced into combat, Pallasite is reluctant to intently harm her aggressor. Instead prefers reason with her attacker to cease their attack or plead for them to stop. If the assault continues, Pallasite prefers to immobile her foe and tries her best to not hurt her attacker. It is only when she forced into a position that she fears for her life that Pallasite will resort to violence begrudgingly.
Initial awkwardness aside, Pallasite is exceptionally friendly, if somewhat erratic, to those willing to tolerate her quirky presence. She is very much passionate about her interest and will babble about subjects like the purpose of a toaster or why birds like to sing. Pallasite is fairly impressionable and naive, choosing to initially trust others but will question people if their claims don’t align with her current knowledge. Pallas exhibits compulsive hoarding habits as she likes to collect various trinkets, gizmos, oddities, and other curios to her horde of ‘treasures’. The extent of her collection is both diverse and massive. If it were not so tidy one would think of her horde of treasures as garbage dump. Pallasite enjoys showing off her various items she has collected and loves to talk about the story about each and every one of her treasures. Its most remarkable that she is able to remember the location of each and every item in her collection, indicating that she fantastic memory. When questioned, she will claim it is because of the way she organizates her collection, in which it is truly a wonder that anything is found since everything seems to be arranged at random. Unsurprisingly, she is super sensitive when it comes with people touching any of her collection pieces without being given permission. She is also has an interesting in fixing and repairing broken items, something which she inherited from the gem Fayalite. She however as a habit of accidently “fixing” items and giving them properties they were not supposed to have based on what she thinks its apparent purpose is. On excellent example would be how she turned a humble water gun into a liquid nitrogen spewer based on the label “Cool Soaker” it had on the side. Pallasite has a peculiar manner of speech, the tone of her voice generally being nervious or apprehensive. When speaking, she tends use overly descriptive wording, forgoes contractions, and constantly misuses idioms. This can lead to some confusion as those who don’t know Pallasite well may struggle to understand her at times. Pallasite has difficulty understanding jokes, witty remarks, sarcasm, and puns as she tends to take such things in a more literal sense.

Weapon: Circlet (Oversized Chakram)
Circlet:
(Image drawn by myself again)
Circlet Equipped:
(Credit to myself again)
Circlet is a combination of Fayalite’s Razor Discus (think Frisbee sawblade) and Magnetite’s Whirl Hoop (think rigid hula hoop) which together forms a very large chakram. Circlet seemingly orbits around Pallasite’s body, much like the ring system on a planet. This effect is thanks to her being able to manipulate magnetism as her chakram is treated as though it is ferro-magnetic. Pallasite is thus able to command Circlet into a spinning razor frisbee with a flick of a wrist provided it remains within the confines of her magnetic manipulation field which extend 8 meters (25 feet). Once outside the field, it drops to the ground with a heavy thud.
Weapon Techniques:
1. Orbit Whirl: Circlet will seemingly orbit around Pallasite’s waist horizontally. In this position, Circlet will act like a hula hoop that never falls. Pallasite can thus preform a short range slashing attack in her immediate area with Circlet as she thrusts those hips. This is her most basic attack. Has no cooldown and can strike 2 times per post.
2. Sawblade Strike: Circlet hover over the palm of her right hand instead of orbiting her way. This attack has greater greater reach and a bit more power to compared to the standard Orbit Whirl but Pallasite will suffer from fewer attacks opportunities and becoming more exposes to a counter-attack. Its maxium range is 8 meters (25 feet). Has no cooldown and can strike once per post.
3. Blade Block: Pallasite can command her Circlet to tilt from its default position around her wait to attempt a blocking maneuver against any melee attacks by altering the tilt of Circlet to make contact with the weapon’s strike. Forces foe to react to the blocking maneuver, either by having their attack blocked or maneuver so that they can counter the block. Has no cooldown.
4. Razor Wheel: Pallasite will curl herself into a ball as Circlet orientates itself vertically. Pallasite will rapidly spin Circlet and charges at the enemy, with be herself and her Circlet being carried together. This the almost equitant of a quartz’s spin attack. She is unable to change direction until she either hits an object or the spin loses momentum after 9 meters (30 feet). Has a 3 post cooldown.
5. Buzzblade Barrier: Pallasite will curl into a ball as Circlet orientates itself vertically. Circlet will then rotate on its axis, spinning fast enough to make a defensive barrier for Pallasite. Pallsite is incapable attacking or moving It’s useful to deflect a malee attack for one post. Range attacks however have a high likelihood of not being blocked and hitting Pallasite since the rotating bladed circle is mostly empty space. Has a 3 post cooldown.
6. Horizontal Toss: Pallasite will cause Circlet to rise from her waist to above her head. It will orientate itself horizontally before being “thrown” in the straight direction to her target. It will approach its target horizontally. Upon hitting the target or it nears her 8 meter (25 feet) limit, it will fly back above her head, then lowers itself around her waist.
7. Vertical Toss: Pallasite will cause Circlet to rise from her waist to above her head. It will orientate itself vertically before being “thrown” in the straight direction to her target. It will approach its target vertically. Upon hitting the target or it nears her 8 meter (25 feet) limit, it will fly back above her head, then lowers itself around her waist.
8. Circle Seeker: Pallasite will cause Circlet to rise from her waist to above her head. Pallasite then commands Circlet to pursue a target for two post. The Circlet will follow the target until strike the target, target moves out of 8 meter (25 feet) range, or two post have passed and it must return to Pallasite. Pallasite is left in a vulnerable state as will be undefended without her weapon. Pallaite’s focus is also entirely on directing Circlet, making her unable preform any other action aside from hovering about. If concentration is lost, Circlet drops to the floor. Has a 3 post cooldown.
9. Prison Ring: Pallasite will cause Circlet to rise from her waist to above her head. Pallasite then commands Circlet to hover over the target’s head and attempt to orbit around the target’s waist. If failing to do so, Circelt will return to Pallasite. If successful, Circlet will orbit around the enemy’s waist. The enemy is free to move around normally but is unable to attack as Pallasite will command the Circlet to interrupt their attack. Effect lasts for 2 post or until the enemy exits Pallasite’s 8 meter (25 feet) range, in which Circlet collapses onto the ground. It should be noted that Pallasite will be weaponless for the duration of the attack and will be unable to defend herself from any other attackers. Because he is concentrating on Circlet, she is unable to perform any other action aside from floating about. Has a 4 post recharge regardless if the technique was successful or unsuccessful.
Ability 1: Electro-Magnetism
Pallasite passively see any electro-magnetic fields with-in 30 meters (100 feet). This allows her to see any electrical/magnetic disturbance fields produced by any gem, living organism, and active machinery so long as she is looking at the targets general direction. While it may not give her X-ray vison, it does let her know when there is something moving behind a wall or through a thick fog provided it is with 30 meters (100 feet) of her vison. Large electro-magnetic fields, such as a power turbine, can help mask any lurking enemies from her electro-magnetic vison as she will be unable to pick out an enemy’s signature within such a large field. She also has complete control over any ferromagnetic metals within roughly 8 meter (25 feet) radius around herself. While she can visually see electrical fields around her, Pallasite lacks the ability to manipulate electrical fields directly as she can magnetic fields. In addition, Pallasite can temporarly envelope herself in a 3-meter radius (10 feet) pulse of highly concentrated magnetic fields that can help repel electrical attacks, destabilize plasma based attacks, and stun any unshielded machines for a short duration. This field of concentrated magnetism last for only the duration of the post. Concentrated magnetism is draining for Pallasite and can only be used three times per combat engagement. Non-metallic objects or non-magnetic metals are unaffected by these magnetic fields. Her magnetism can be disrupted by other competing magnetic fields and EMPs can leave her momentarily vulnerable.
Ability 2: Gravity Negation
Pallasite can passively float about through any fluid medium (air, water, ect) at any time as she is surrounded by a field of nullified gravity that extends only a few centimeters from her body. Thus, Pallasite cannot carry anyone or any objects she might be holding onto as they will be effected by gravity normally. She lacks the natural strength most over gems possess, making her unable to carry all but the lightest of objects as she floats. Pallasite relies on her first ability orientate and to push herself via magnetic fields. Otherwise Pallasite would float aimlessly all the time. While capable of floating just about anywhere, her maximum speed is only that of an average human walking at a brisk pace. Pallasite can also temporarily envelope herself in a gravity nuffilication field 15 meters (50 feet) that will last for the next three post. Within this field, the effects of gravity are disabled and will cause all objects (including other gems) to feel as if they are floating in zero gravity. Pallasite is unaffected by the generated field as she can float thanks to using magnetic fields to guide her. Being able to support such of a large gravity negation field however is considerably tasking for Pallasite and can only be expected to use it once per combat engagement. After the effect has passed, Pallasite will be grounded for the next six post until she regains the strength to be able to float once again.

Fusions: While Pallasite is a product of permanent fusion between Fayalite and Magnetite, she herself has no other fusions with any of the other gems as of yet.

Fayalite and Magnetite Saga: (Read if you want the whole story behind Pallasite)
The story of Pallasite begins not with Pallasite but with the Gems Fayalite and Magnetite. Fayalite was a Homeworld technician under the service of Yellow Diamond. Fayalites like herself are often compared to stockier versions of the more technologically more capable Peridots. This led Fayalites to preform either less important or more dangerous working conditions where their hardier composition is more well suited. As such, even among the maintenance caste of gems, Fayalite tended to be looked down upon their peers as her species are seen as less capable among the maintenance caste. Most other Fayalite’s begrudgingly accept their position but the Fayalite in this particular tale is a bit more ambitious than the rest. This Fayalite tends devote herself entirely to whatever task is assigned to her and goes to great lengths to ensure its completion. She is more talkative and boastful than others of her kind but finds herself socially inept as she doesn’t know how to properly talk to other gems. Afterall, all that she understands is how machines work and not how people work. Fayalite also tends to get easily frustrated when she stumped on a problem, further making other’s unwilling to converse with this Fayalite unless required. Despite this, Fayalite always tries her best to overcome her shortcomings and does her best to understand everything there is to know about fixing machines.
Magnetite was a gem technician created long long ago as a tool for White Diamond to detect and study interactions of magnetic and electrical fields in various systems. This Magnetite in particular was among one of the earliest gems of her kind produced. However, she was also born small, defective, and blind. This severely limited her capabilities as she would often bump into things that don’t produce any magnetic or electrical fields and has great difficult describing whatever she is tying observe as she can only “see” the electromagnetic fields produced by object. Constantly surrounded by verbal reminders of her uselessness, Magnetite withdrew herself from the other gems as much as should could. This led her to become quiet, meek, and awkward around others. Many gems see Magnetite as lazy since she never seems to be doing her job but in truth Magnetite avoids working since she dreads having to interact with those who only say mean things to her. Magnetite however had unbridled curiosity of the world that she largely dark to, wish to see the colors and the lights that gems describe to her and not just being about to make out objects based on the fields she senses. Her curiosity makes her open-minded to many things but also a kleptomaniac as she is always collecting objects to show others so that they explain to her what their purpose is. Her superiors, seeing her as useless and annoying, found a better use for her by poofing her, using her gemstone to create a gem artifact that can manipulate magnetic fields. Magnetite would remain in this state as utility device for many thousands of earth years, largely forgotten about. She would see many exchanges in hands among maintenance gems, often curiously listening to conversation as she lays imprisoned in her own gem.
The gem artifact that would contain Magnetite would eventually find its way to Fayalite, using the gem artifact as she did with any other tool at her disposal and caring little for the gem that powered the device. This relationship between tool and user would have likely continued as the way it always has if it were not for Fayalite’s clumsiness accidently setting Magnetite free. As she worked on repairs in the engine room of new class of starship, Fayalite accidently dropped the gem artifact while during maintenance. It was surprising just how fragile the gem artifact as it shattered into many different pieces. From this scattered mess of parts laid a black gem… a gem which began to reform and become the being known as Magnetite. This came as a surprise for the both them: Fayalite panicking over how to explain accidently destroying the gem artifact and Magnetite appearing lost with her newfound freedom. It was only moments later that the two gems realized the other’s presence. After staring awkwardly at each other for what felt like an eternity, they made somewhat nervous introductions to each other. Formalities out of the way, Fayalite proposed to Magnetite that if she was be her junior technician, Fayalite will not have Magnetite reported to the authorities. For Fayalite, this was preferable to having to explain to her superior about how she broke the gem artifact entrusted to her. Magnetite graciously agree, mistaking Fayalite’s pragmatism for mercy, as she would now be free to explore this strange new era, so long as she stuck close to Fayalite. This would be the beginning of their long relationship together.
Luckily for the both of them, the two gems were left almost entirely alone in the ship’s engine rooms since few bother to come down to inspect the machines themselves. Whenever there was the rare visitor, they always seem to make announce their presence, giving Magnetite enough time to hide within the ship’s structure as Fayalite distracts them with her technical jargon. Initially, Fayalite’s and Magnetite’s relationship was rocky as Fayalite was constantly frustrated with Magnetite’s unwillingness to work and Magnetite found herself driven away from the constantly frustrated Fayalite. Within time however, the two began to grew close to each other. For Fayalite, she enjoyed entertaining Magnetite with her own extensive knowledge and was glad to have someone who could actually stand to listen to her for a change without complaint. For Magnetite, Fayalite was the one person who enjoyed talking to her and was always ecstatic to explain foreign concepts and objects to her. Fayalite would spend many earth centuries speaking to Magnetite on a variety of topics while Magnetite would float in the background happily listening, occasionally assisting when something required her peculiar magnetic touch. In the end, they both bonded over their mutual love of knowledge and company they provided to each other.
Epochs later, Fayalite found herself way over her head with an assignment her superiors loaded onto poor gem with the task with correcting the power system flow malfunction in a new class of starship. No matter how hard the gem tried to trace the source of the problem, she could never seem to find, isolate, and fix whatever the issue was. Fayalite was in a panic as she did not wish to be seen as failure to her overseers. The only thing she could do it seem was to panicky consult with her friend Magnetite. Magnetite looked into the issue confounding her friend Fayalite, using her ability to detect changes in electro-magnetism to try to find the issue. For Magnetitie, she can see the issue clear as day but could never properly explain the problem in terms that Fayalite could understand. As Fayalite became more frustrated with her, Magnetite tentatively suggested that the two of them fuse so that Fayalite could see what she was trying to explain to her. It was an idea that Fayalite shot down immediately, proceeding to solve the issue on her own since the idea fusing was a scandalous proposition. Fayalite proceeded to push Magnetite out of her way, greatly upsetting her one and only friend.
As the deadline neared, superiors breathing down her neck, and the problem remaining unsolved, Fayalite finally caved into pressure and seeked out the help of Magnetite. When the two reunited, Fayalite apologized for her behavior and discussed the possibility briefly fusing with Magnetite, assuming her friend was okay with it. Magnetite, happy that Fayalite cared enough to put her pride aside and apologize, accepted. After short dance that would make middle-school children giggle at their clumsy attempt, the two gems fused together to become Pallasite. The experience was strange for the two gems. Fayalite could now see the pulses of electromagnetic radiation while Magnetite could finally see the colors of the universe. It was as if witnessing the whole world again through the wonders of a youngling’s eyes. As Pallasite, the problem that seemed so complex was now so simple to observe and correct. Her new their form was clumsy but being able to manipulate magnetic fields and metal tools at a distance made what was formerly a seemingly impossible task an easy fix. The two defused, Fayalite relieved to finally to the power correction issue to finally be at rest. Magnetite… could only grin and giggle happily as she could finally see the world she was born blind into. Over time the two them would fuse in secret, partly to make any maintenance task a little easier and partly because the two of them enjoyed the experience of fusing together. The more times they fused, the more the two gems yearned to remain as Pallasite permanently. Fayalite was always somewhat reluctant one to remain fused for long while her partner Magnetite continued to become more vocal about remaining fuse permanently regardless of the potential social consequences. Fayalite wasn’t against the idea but was too worried about the repercussions of being caught as fused gem as in this case it would be Magnetite who would be the one to suffer the brunt of the punishment.

Pallasite Saga: (Read if interested in just how Pallasite ended up on Earth)
Despite their best efforts to keep their fusing a secret, Fayalite and Magnetite were eventually caught fused as Pallasite as they worked on engine core repair on handship by a suspicious quartz gem. Pallasite immediately defused into a Fayalite who tried in vain to explain and a quite Magnetite who was too afraid to speak. The quartz gem would have none of it, announcing that the Fayalite would face disciplinary action while Magnetite would be shattered, manically adding that if Fayalite made any objection then she will see to it that the both of them would have them gems shattered. Faced with fear of losing her friend… no her lover Magnetite forever, Fayalite refused and proclaimed to the quartz gem that the two of them would never be held apart by a gem so long as they loved each other. What was said wasn’t as grandiose as Fayalite thought it to be, but Magnetite adored Fayalite’s speech nevertheless. Fayalite took Magnetite by her hand and the two gems embraced each other to reformed as Pallasite, with the intention of never being separated ever again. The guartz gem was engulfed in a mixture of disgust and rage, vowing that she would destroy them despite them being a fusion. But Pallasite shocked the quartz gem by sabotaging the ship’s engines, causing the handship to go critical. In the panic that soon enveloped the handship, Pallasite made her escape via an escape pod, the quartz gem vowing that she will see to it that Homeworld will enact retribution against the filthy traitorous fusion and that they will both pay the ultimate price for their transgressions. Fearing for her life, she set her escape pod to the backwater planet of Earth to take refuge as the handship ripped itself apart in the background of space.
Pallasite came crashing into Earth like meteorite in her escape pod in the Earth year of 1962. Pallasite marveled over the planets organic wonders and was curious of the humans and their strange devices. But fears over the retaliation of Homeworld Gems convinced her to go into hiding and seek refuge. A few earth days later, Pallasite settled herself within the vast basement level of a large children’s toy factory called Wonderful Wonders which lays close to Beach City’s present location. Before Pallasite’s arrival, it was a profitable business producing their signature Wonderful Wanda dolls, Wacky Wack bats, the fuffy Wooly Wombat, the talking Wally Walrus, and many other toys that always started with the ‘W’ themed gimmick. At first Pallasite’s presence was not noticed by the staff since employees rarely had to work related business in the basement. Most employees avoided the basement anyway due to rumors of it being haunted by the ghost of female employee who died in a tragic accident a few years ago within that very basement. Over time, the workers noticed strange paranormal occurrences within the factory. Machines suddenly stopping or starting on their own, items going missing only to reappear in out of reach places, and sightings a ghostly woman floating about in the factory floor when the factory was supposed to be closed. Most of these actually caused by a curious Pallasite accidently dispersing a pulse of electromagnetic waves that made machines go haywire, pressing buttons when she isn’t supposed to, and misplacing items after she was done inspecting them. Pallasite tried talking to some of the workers when they were alone in the late hours of the day to ask them the purpose of the toys they were making but was only met with screams followed by them frantically running out of the factory. Overtime, Pallasite learned to keep her distance from the humans since they don’t seem to like her for some odd reason.
In the earth year of 1964, the Wondrous Wonders factory closed its doors for the last time as the owner filed for bankruptcy. The cause for the bankruptcy was blamed partially for the increased competitiveness in the toy industry and partially because the factory struggled to hold onto employees as almost all of them quit, claiming that the factory was haunted. Even those hired to replace them quit within a few months due to ‘paranormal’ activity… thus cementing the rumors that the location as haunted. With the humans suddenly gone, Pallasite had the factory to herself. For the next couple of decades, the abandoned toy factory would remain her place of residence. Since the human’s departure, Pallasite on occasion ventured out of the factory to explore her surroundings and collecting various discarded human objects. The old basement would soon become filled with all sorts of knick-knacks. They range from board games to toasters, toothpaste to sporks, flip-flops to soda bottles and everything else in-between. It was suitable location as it was far enough that few venture the decaying ruins and close enough that Pallasite could observe the humans in the nearby city and the novelty of organic nature that is slowly reclaiming the factory grounds. Those who did become curious of the abandoned factory would quickly flee whenever Pallasite asked if they would like to see her collection, much to her disappointment. The one exception was human named Katie who would use to listen to Pallasite’s tour of her wonderful collection, occasionally bringing random items for Pallasite to add to add to her collection. This Katie however had long stopped visiting Pallasite many earth years ago.
Like many permanent fusions, Pallasite has largely lost the sense of identity of her component gems Fayalite and Magnetite. She acknowledges their presence but sees herself as her own gem. The way she thinks of it, Pallasite is a product of their love for each other and is reflected as an amalgamation of Fayalite’s and Magnetite’s personalities. Pallasite finds herself to be inquisitive, enjoying being able to observe the world around herself. She also fancies to collect various knick-knacks, gizmos, and other collectables and adds them to her growing collection within the old toy factory. Pallasite has largely kept to herself since she doesn’t want to be a bother to the humans and it hesitant to meet with other gems considering that she is probably labeled as a traitor to Homeworld still. This was fine with her, she only needed herself for company and finds peace in the quite. Yet… it can be lonesome to not have another soul to talk to about the wonderful treasures the has collected throughout the decades. Pallasite has largely tried to keep herself from the brewing conflict of rebelling gems. While she sympathizes with the Crystal Gems, Pallasite would rather not have Homeworld become aware of her current location on Earth. After hearing of Rose’s message about the Homeworld warp being destroyed, the cautious Pallasite has more willing to adventure away from of her home thanks to a new sense of security.

Pallasite Name:
Pallasite is decorative “rock” that made up of large olivine crystals within a metallic matrix of iron-nickel minerals such as taenite. It originates as metallic meteorites that crash into earth. Pallasites are of scientific importance to understand planetary formation. They are also popular in jewelry because their striking appearance when cut and their extraterrestrial origin. When I first looked up to see if Pallasite was taken on the accepted and inactive character list, and I didn’t get any results so I went ahead with the character. Of course once I looked up pallasite in the search bar again after finishing the character art and entire character app do I find that there was ONE accepted pallasite who went by the name Core, hence why I missed a there already being a pallasite on this site so… grrr! But looks like this Core didn’t rp after being accepted so… I guess it wasn’t a total loss
Pallasite Design:
Pallasite Personality:
Originally, I was thinking of Pallasite being more of cold amoral scientist. Her curiosity going above morals as she must find answers to satisfy her thirst of knowledge and leading her dissecting machines, lifeforms, and even other gems. The more I fleshed out the backstory of both Fayalite and Magnetite, the less I like Pallasite’s original personality and overhauled personality almost entirely. In her current form, she still retains her curiosity but is reluctant to harm others. She wishes to understand her new world and comes up with almost goofy answers to her meticulous observations. I like to think of a bit of Peridot from Steven Universe and Starfire from Teen Titans from the early 2000’s. In this case I made her timid and shy since her component gems were very much outsiders and have difficulty in social situations. She is much like that quite nerd who doesn’t know how to interact with people socially but wishes to find someone who they can talk and nerd out about their favorite obsessions like comic books, video games, shows and collectibles.
Fayalite and Magnetite Names:
Since Pallasite is rock composed with olivine (which in gem form is known as Peridot) and iron-nickel minerals such as taenite, this inspired me to toy around with the idea of Pallasite being a fusion of two gems. I was originally planning Pallasite being a fusion between the the gems Olivine and Taenite. Olivine was however was already taken as a fusion name of other two gems on this site. Taenite is more of iron-nickel alloy than a gem so it was much more befitting of the upcoming metals planned for the future. Thus some adjustments were to be made. I picked Fayalite instead of Olivine as Fayalite is but an iron rich solid solution of Olivine (the other extreme being Forsterite being magnesium rich). Taenite was changed to Magnetite since I like the idea of playing around with magnetism. There are some other Magnetites on the site but they all seem to be inactive. Plus, I imagined this particular Magnetite as an early but defective version of her species (the most obvious defect being her blindness) so she doesn’t have to conform with the appearance and behavior of the other Magnetites on this site entirely. Of course I did try to take nods to the other Magnetites before this one whenever appropriate but without ruining this one’s unique character. One example was making my Magnetite a specialized technician (before being deemed useless and turned into gem artifact) based on Mega Autunite’s Magnetite alt to which she was formerly a chief technician… before turning into a murderous sociopath ^_^;
Fayalite and Magnetitie Design:
Fayalite and Magnetite’s Personality:
From the start, I knew that I wanted Fayalite’s personality to be heavily influenced by Peridot from Steven Universe since fayalite is but another variation of olivine, which large olivines being labeled as peridots. Talkative, stubborn, easily frustrated, and socially obliviousness are all traits that were borrowed from Peridot. Fayalite however is bit more ambitious and little braver than the Peridot from the show, and pretends to know all that there is to know.
Magnetite’s personality was far more original as I had to think of a personality that compliment and get along Fayalite enough that would warrant the two wishing to be a fusion. Since Fayalite gave me the impression of anti-social nerd who wanted someone to talk to, I wanted Magnetite to be the piece she needed. Thus Magnetite became the quite, meek, curious loner who wanted to have someone to talk to her. This personality also made me look over Pallasite’s and Fayalite’s personalities. Fayalite was modified to better accept sheepish Magnetite while Pallasite was changed almost completely to better represent the two merged personalities.

Pallasite Design:
Originally had a gloomier appearance, reflecting a much darker character was originally intended to be. Her dress, arm sleeves, ribbon drapes, and hair was longer and a tad more intimidating. Her clothing also had Widmanstatten patterns to reflect the pattens made by interleaving of taenite and kamacite bands found in the metal portion of pallasite meteors. Her gemstone was originally 3 pallasite orbs, two in her hair and one in her chest.
As the character became more light-hearted in personality and her dance theme was changed to space disco, there was some significant edits to her design. Pallasite was shortened, her thin figure more rounded. Her apparent age went from grumpy adult 37-year-old to a wonderstruck 27-year-old. The most obvious change was her skirt length shortened from ankle length to slightly above the kneecaps as this would make it easier for her to dance to a spacy disco jam. The ribbons hanging from the skirt are now a tad thinner and more rounded at the ends as they now extend to near where her ankles are. Her arms sleeves remain but are now a tad shorter and more rounded to appeal to a more spacey theme. The complex Widmanstatten patterns were removed to simplify the appearance. The torso more rounded and added some retro space age “trims”. The pallasite gemstones remain but are now just decorative pieces rather than her actual gemstones. The two pallasite balls in her hair are now appear to be a part of her hair rather than 2 big beads in her hair. Her two gemstones (one for Fayalite and one for Magnetite) are now on her cheeks to replace the octagon polygons on her cheeks. The gems themselves retain the appears of Fayalite’s and Magitnete’s gem crystal designs on each cheek. Hair design remains the same as the original but much cleaner cut and thinned out on the side cover where her non-existent other eye would be.

Since Pallasite is rock composed with olivine (which in gem form is known as Peridot) and iron-nickel minerals such as taenite, this inspired me to toy around with the idea of Pallasite being a fusion of two gems. I was originally planning Pallasite being a fusion between the the gems Olivine and Taenite. Olivine was however was already taken as a fusion name of other two gems on this site. Taenite is more of iron-nickel alloy than a gem so it was much more befitting of the upcoming metals planned for the future. Thus some adjustments were to be made. I picked Fayalite instead of Olivine as Fayalite is but an iron rich solid solution of Olivine (the other extreme being Forsterite being magnesium rich). Taenite was changed to Magnetite since I like the idea of playing around with magnetism. There are some other Magnetites on the site but they all seem to be inactive. Plus, I imagined this particular Magnetite as an early but defective version of her species (the most obvious defect being her blindness) so she doesn’t have to conform with the appearance and behavior of the other Magnetites on this site entirely. Of course I did try to take nods to the other Magnetites before this one whenever appropriate but without ruining this one’s unique character. One example was making my Magnetite a specialized technician (before being deemed useless and turned into gem artifact) based on Mega Autunite’s Magnetite alt to which she was formerly a chief technician… before turning into a murderous sociopath ^_^;
Fayalite and Magnetitie Design:
Fayalite is an endmember group of Olivine. Since Peridot is but a gem variety of Olivine, I figure Fayalite’s design would be similar to appearance to Peridot in Steven Universe. I like to think of Fayalites as a slightly stockier Peridot but a little less mechanically gifted, so they are lower class mechanics for more grunt work while the Peridots reserved for more technical work. so her hair was bit frayed and her body a little plumper. After her personality was fleshed out, I made a resign in Fayalite’s appearance. She body resembles more closely to Peridot’s body but a little more add muscule. Placement of emblems were altered to make her look less like a Peridot and her hair was more compacted on the sides and more fryed. Her color scheme matches more closely true fayalite olivines, taking on a more yellow green and yellow brown coloration. As visor was also added to the revised Fayalite to appear like a simple band around her eyes (think EDI from Mass Effect 3). Also on her head are the two “orbs” on the side of her head were added to more closely match Pallasite’s form. Fayalite’s crystal was also moved from her chest to her right cheek to match the location of the revised Pallasite appearance. Her gemstone shape was inspired by Peridot’s gemstone but with more noticeable facet cuts. The yellow diamond decals were added later to refect her former allegiance to Yellow Diamond, much like Peridot.
Magnetite design takes influence from Sapphire from Steven Universe. In her original appearance, her arms sleeves covered over her hands and her crystal was originally hidden under her mess of hair. After the character’s personality was flesh out, Magnetitie also saw design revision. Her hair remained looking like wet fettuccini noodles but this time was wavier and full compared to the previous versions straight and thinner. Arms remained much the same but the arm sleeves are more curved while the hands are able to poke out from the sleeves. Her dress was almost completely redesigned, with a clearer separation between top and bottom. Her torso more circular and similar in style as Sapphire but with little triangles on her collar bone. The long skirt was edited to reflect Pallasite’s skirt. The ribbons are now more uniformly surround the long skirt instead of being concentrated in the back. The two gemstone blades in her hair are removed and made into the two “side wings” of hair to reflect their appearance in Pallasite. Like many of the other Magnetite’s posted on the site, this Magnetite also shares the black and grey color scheme. White Diamond decals were added to her dress to reflect her former allegiance to White Diamond, added mostly because White seemed to fit her design best.

Abilities:
Magnetism was always the first power I had in mind when I looked up taenite (a component of pallasite) was iron-nickel material. Originally I had it complete control of any ferrous magnetic material within 30 meters (100 feet). Looking up magnetism superpowers made me realize the vastness of the scope of this power so the range was reduced to the current 8 meters (25 feet) for balancing reasons. I also include a limited magnetic overcharge ability which could destabilize machines and defect energy attacks but with limited amount of uses (currently 3 per combat engagement). Eventually Taenite was changed to Magnetite, in part because Magnetite was more fitting gem than Taenite, it’s the most magnetic natural substance on Earth and reflected my desire to presume Magnetism as my character’s first ability slot. The way I see it, Pallasite inherent Magnetite’s magnetism manipulation ability who originally used it to detect electro-magnetic fields which was the only thing Magnetite was able to “see”.
The second ability was a little trickier to think of. To complement her first ability, I thought that Pallasite’s second ability should relate to magnetism and thought of being able to take on a liquid metal morph that she uses her magnetism to help her move her metal body. Even with a list of weaknesses (extreme cold, extreme heat, acid, other magnetic fields, ect), I felt that this ability could be very easily be abused in combat, was more appropriate for the upcoming Metals, and didn’t seem to fit too much with Fayalite using it for maintenance work. When I changed Pallasite’s design to become more retro space theme (mainly because I choose space disco to be her dance style) and toyed with the idea of Pallasite being able to float, I figured some sort of gravity manipulation as her second ability. I wanted her magnetism to be her primary ability so I severely restricted the gravity nullification ability to only allow to her to float and being able to disable gravity for a limited time in a limited area, 15 meters (50 feet) for three post. This also complimented her magnetism ability as because Pallasite is always floating, she relies on her magnetism to weakly propel and orientate herself through space as she would otherwise be unable control were she able to float. I could also see a use for this ability for Fayalite (from who Pallasite would inherit this power from) for maintenance because gems naturally adjust to the gravity of the area magically. Using gravity nullification can allow Fayalite to safely float to areas she need to get to and disable it momentarily so that stop perform task that she would otherwise be unable to do. After all, worked for Issac Clark from Dead Space right?

Weapon:
Why a big chakram? Cause its cool? It took me awhile to think of a weapon Pallasite could use. First it was no weapon because Pallasite’s original liquid metal morphing ability could make herself any sort of weapon Terminator 2 style. When I scraped that idea for being too overpowered, I instead thought of weapon called a man-catcher since it was primarily used to capture and pin opponents from horses instead of killing them. This was to reflect her desire to not harm others, even during a fight. Then I thought of chakrams, if mostly because I was somewhat inspired by Tron. Then instead of two small chakrams, which some accepted characters already use, I thought to go with one big chakram much like Tira from Soul Caliber 3. Plus, I really like the idea of Pallasite showing off her mastery of magnetism by having the large chakram orbit around her like a planetary ring system. I’m aware that weapons are technically made of hard light and gem material but since Pallasite is made up of part Magnetite, I like to think that gem material being part magnetite would also make Pallasite capable of controlling it like any other metal object in her radius of control. If it doesn’t appeal to the app reviewer… I can always make adjusts where needed.
Dance Style/Music Theme:
I saw some character app including a fusion dance style and thought to include one for Pallasite for this app. I looked up a list of various dancing styles on Wikipedia to find one that could fit Pallasite best. Originally I was thinking of something on the side of electronic but the footwork didn’t match what I was thinking for Pallasite nor reflects her character well. Looking up sub-types of disco dance, I found one known as Space Disco… a popular but short-lived sub-type of disco with a focus on futuristic theme, sounds and style. Looking up an example dance via YouTube and I thought space disco fitted Pallasite best. It was more “loosey-goosey” and free-flow than the hardness of most electronic dance forms, Pallasites design was already had a spacey theme going on, and her name Pallasite was quite appropriate as all examples of pallasites are meteorites from outer space. Upon going with space disco, Pallasite’s character design was altered to make her more “retro space-like” and into its current form you seen now.
History:
It was writing the history that helped me cement Fayalite’s and Magnetite’s personalities and thus Pallasite’s history in turn. When I focused on the love that Fayalite and Magnetite had for each (taking some wordy advice from Garnet on her thoughts on fusion), Pallasite also become a kinder and more lovable character. Much of the history you see written was similar to the first version I had written… but there are some ideas that got changed around and edited. Orginally I had Magnetite be a demoted technition put under Fayalite’s command as the reason why the two met. After reading some character apps (particularly Mega Autunite), convinced me to change the backstory a bit, with Magnetite instead being locked up as gem artifact that was accidently freed by Fayalite who covered for her because Fayalite wished to not incur the wrath of her superiors for being clumsy. This made for a more realistic scenario and a more humorous one as well. Also mentioned character allegiances when I noticed many accepted gems used to serve one diamond or another. Fayalite already had a yellow diamond in her design so I had her serve Yellow Diamond as technician while Magnetite served White Diamond since white diamond decals seemed to fit with her character design the best.
I left the quartz gem who caught and threated Fayalite and Magnetite nameless since it could open up future roleplay opportunities for a quartz homeworld gem with a convenient enough backstory who might want to make use of this potential character backstory history. Maybe something will come of it, maybe not. When thinking of place for Pallasite to reside, I first thought of an old subway system near Beach City because of its creepy setting and roomy enough for Pallasite to store her collection of items. This was eventually replaced with an abandoned toy factory: still somewhat creepy but more believable location to be near Beach City. Plus, I had fun with the humorous story of how Pallasite unintentionally caused its closure because her very presence causing the employees to quit because they thought the factory was haunted. Also added interaction with human named Katie, to get Pallasite a sort of small quest to go looking for the one human girl who would use to visit her from time to time after the factory was abandoned. Her recent appearance in the nearby Beach City after all of these years is due to her finally feeling safe enough to venture outside of her home thanks to the message Rose Quartz sent to earth, claiming the warp pads to Homeworld to be destroyed.
The history is admittedly lengthy mostly because I tend to be detailed oriented and I like to write up extensive backstories for character to help further develop their character… so apologies for the word salad. Honest the history write-up is more for my own benefit than it is to meet the minimum requirements.

Why am I here:
I was first aware of a Steven Universe rp site from a tread promoting another SU rp site from another rp forum site that I am a part of. Curious, I followed the new start up site. It suffers from a lack of members so… I wasn’t too keen to join. Instead I looked up other similar sites out of curiosity. Sure enough, this site was the first on the google search and was fare more promising. I was most impressed by not only the heathy active community but also a workable alternative universe that doesn’t rely on canon character’s heavily and a very very dedicated site admin. I admit I was only vaguely aware of the show from a couple of shows a friend introduced me to. Being a future geologist here… the idea of sentient magical gem people appealed to and I thought I could think of some unusual minerals that could make some good potential characters. So I watched some episodes and read up on the wiki to get familiar with the setting and started coming up with some character ideas based on the list of gems that I DIDN’T see on the approved list. Turned out… there were a lot a names taken. I looked up a list of gems on Wikipedia and noticed that Pallasite was listed as gemstone despite it actually being more of rock than a mineral. Then again… many gems where named by ancient people before they understood the mechanics of mineralogy so there are many gems that are actually rocks (I’m looking at you Lapis!) or organic substances (YOU TOO PEARL!). So I went with Pallasite as a character since I have always loved the images of cut up pallasite meteorites when I first learned about them. Looking up and seeing that Pallasite has yet to be taken… I figure I would write up character and this is the result. Of course there was one pallasite member who was accepted but I was unaware of it because they went by the name Core Pallasite Meteorite so I missed noticing the name… oops! This particular pallasite didn’t appear to RP after being accepted so… I guess this is the only Pallasite at the moment ^_^
Length and Time Spent on Character:
As of now, the word count is at 9251 words (9373 according to the site) or almost 15 pages worth of words at Courier New font at 9 Font Size so… yikes! So far I have worked on and off on this character for nearly… a month in my free time.
Most of the time honestly was spend researching, coming up with ideas, revisions, multiple character sketches, understanding the alternate universe, reading approved (and unapproved) character apps, an entire day drawing up final character on Adobe Illustrator, another day doing touch-up and edits on characters on Adobe Illustrator, and watching Steven Universe episodes to get an idea of the setting and the sort of quirky character it has. Pretty proud of the result but I’m to work out the kinks if there are any.
