A ring of Holo-Fuscites materialized around Sugar, standing at attention, re-appearing whenever Sugar shot them. Fuscite herself decloaked a couple feet away from Sugar, looking down at the gem. Her armor gleamed in the light, giving off a shining green aura. "I...am Fuscite. Last...active unit...of the...Homeworld Outreach Initiative. " Her helmet panned the surrounding landscape. "Tell me...Sugar." Fuscite started. "Why did...you assault...me? What reasoning...do you...have to...justify that?" She stated. The gauntlet trembled and shifted as Fuscite's hand was twitching slightly. While she waited for a response from the gem, Fuscite took a moment to wipe some grime off of her shoulder and chest plate. The holograms adjusted their footing every so often, glancing at one another every few seconds before reverting their gaze back to Sugar.
The small gem didn't expect to be so easily surrounded, and while shooting her way out of most problems usually worked, these foes simply would not stay down. She soon saw herself with one gun in cooldown and the other with just one shot before overheating. She needed to make this shot count. Positioning the barrel of the working gun to the ground behind her and clutching the overheated firearm like a sword, Sugar waited for Fuscite to finish, considering her answer. If this gem claimed to be of Homeworld, then why would they sabotage one of Yellow Diamond's ships? Why would she kill two loyal gems?
"You lying, murderous innie!" she spat, rage present in your voice. "No loyalist would bring down a ship from Yellow Diamond's forces, let alone kill two of her best operators! Emerald and Topaz are dead because of you!" With that, Sugar triggered her Featherweight, drastically decreasing the effect of gravity on her as she pulled the trigger, sending herself rocketing toward her masked opponent with a mighty yell and a diagonal swing of her shotgun.

Fuscite tilted her head slightly at Sugar's accusations, instinctively stepping backwards as the small figure launched herself at him, swinging her shotgun like a bat. She was a bit slow, however, and the shotgun clipped her head, sending the helmet flying off and into the hands of a Holo-Fuscite. Fuscite was a little more than upset now, using the thrusters to zoom up on Sugar's flank while she was still being propelled by the shotgun blast, grabbing her by the waist and performing a rocket-powered suplex on the sugary individual. Fuscite then pinned Sugar to the ground, placing her left forearm on Sugar's neck so as to prevent her from struggling. After waiting several seconds, Fuscite exhaled and began speaking again. "Listen here, cupcake. I don't even know what an 'innie' is but it's probably a derogatory term. I just pulled the pieces out of the ocean so I could try and piece 'em back together. I have had a VERY long day today trying to get the engine out of the wreckage, so I would appreciate it if you didn't try to kill me for...whatever it is you say you want to kill me for?" Fuscite stared at Sugar for several seconds following her monologue before standing up and holding her arm out, a Holo-Fuscite placing her helmet in her hands. The old explorer took several steps away to inspect the piece of equipment.
Pyrope moved to hide herself as the commotion from the holo-fuscites became audible. Their pattern was all too familiar, memories of her past encounter still fresh. And painful. She couldn't help but clench her fists, eyeing the minions fiddle with the gem-tech. She noted Sugar was visibly upset as well, in fact she assumed Fuscite to be the saboteur of her ship.
She watched as the confrontation began, wondering if she should join in or not. Her two sides struggled for a while, debating if it was worth getting involved. Then Fuscite's use of stealth attack, similar to their fight, reminded her of their first confrontation. Given the choice, she preferred Sugar. Coming to a decision she summoned forth her weapon and lurked.
While Fuscite was distracted talking with Sugar and examining her tech Pyrope swung her weapon in a full arc, sending a force towards her. Flying at the speed of an arrow, the invisible projectile would hit the same as any of her hits, and immediately afterwards she streaked forward to try and cut Fuscite off so she would be stuck between her and Sugar. She stayed defensive, allowing Sugar to put on the pressure, simply trying to keep her form retreating any further.
Sugar gasped as the opposing gem forced her against the ground by her throat, struggling briefly until she realized the futility of her attempt. Backing down seemed like a legitimate option, as this gem even had the stones to let her go. However, Sugar wasnt willing to back down, as even if her opponent didn't kill her team, she did steal the engine and did just slam her into the ground. Spotting Pyrope just off in the distance, Sugar cracked a sadistic grin as she sprung back to her feet and picked up her guns. "Everyone has bad days, gem. You are no exception." Sugar stated, primarily to serve as a distraction for Pyrope's attack, waiting to ensure that her opponent didn't jump out of the way. If she did, Sugar would be in the line of fire, but hey. She had a flash step, she'd be alright.

Fuscite's armor had begun to fade into the light when Sugar made her little quip. "I've had more bad days than you've had alive, Sugar. Now, wasn't Pyrope here as well? Where is-" Pyrope's first attack slammed into the green gem, sending her flying backwards. The helmet, once in her hands, fell to the ground where she once stood. Using the thrusters on her suit, Fuscite landed feet-first on the nearest pillar, a Holo-Fuscite tossing her helmet up. The old explorer frowned as she looked down at the scratch Pyrope had left, catching the helmet and hoping it too wasn't damaged. She sighed in relief when it wasn't. Looking back down, Fuscite put her hands on her hips. "That's one way to say hello, Pyrope. Well, maybe with Sugar on your side you'll put up more of a fight, fusion." Chuckling to herself as she put on the helmet, Fuscite's form finally vanished from view. Back on the ground, several Holo-Fuscites materialized and advanced on the three gems.
Pyrope rushed forward, not stopping despite being caught off guard by Fuscite's aerial maneuver, bringing her hammer back and ready for a full swing. Normally she wouldn't damage an old relic such as this place, but at that moment all she wanted was to wipe the look off Fuscite's face. It was the fusion comment that pushed her over, "Oh, you're so dead." She growled, seeing Fuscite disappear yet again. She really hated a coward. Still moving full speed ahead she slammed her body into a holo-fuscite, connecting with the pillar and causing it to slowly fall backwards, slamming hard into the ground and begun sliding into the water below.
She turned around and readied herself, "Sugar, you got a couple guns, use them! Keep her off me, I've got some practice to do." She glared the holo-fuscites, cracking her knuckles and grinning ear to ear. Hammer in hand she charged forward, swatting holo-fuscites away left and right. She was trying to smash a few of them, but mainly she was providing Sugar with an unobstructed shot of the real Fuscite.

Carbide's boots kicked at the dirt and pebbles at the top of the rocky little island from where she stood, a little over a half a klick away across the calm water and small spits of rock that emerged from its surface, watching the fight unfold thourgh a pair of human made optic magnification devices she had borrowed from her gracious friend Pallasite... She had been calling them "Macro-Optic Vision dis-enhancers" but after asking around town, Carbide learned that they were called Binoculars and her peculiar friend had been using them in reverse.
A long dark cigarello was haning in her teeth as she watched her ancient precursor and her holo clones ducke it out with a short gun wielding gem she had never seen before at all, and another large reddish burgandy gem, who she also did not recognize, but still seemed somehow.. familiar..
She growls and shakes her head, focusing back in on the moment, licking her lips, the empath tasting the tension drifting in on the air. Once the large burgandy femme seemed to start clobbering all up on Fuscite's holo-clones she decides its time to make her move. The heavy scout straightens up and with a short dance move that seemed to combine punk and a ballet spin, she gestures with both hands and draws forth a pair of her heavy ballistic cudgels from her dark iridescent gem on her back. the weapons hum and crackle as they magically pop into being, and settle firmly in her hand, hefting into place under her arms, giving her the appearance of a humanoid artillery emplacement, barrels reaching towards the sky, as she squints through her dark plum visor at the fight in the distance..as she readies her self, she speaks into a walkie talkie headset hanging about her neck, and plugged into a human made unit on her belt, with part of its housing removed, to allow for a few gem-tech enhancements. As she speaks her voice comes through in a glorious crackly static laden sass from the external communicator mounted in the side of Fuscite's helmet. She could have routed it thorugh the private internal communicator, but she felt like addressing the group.
" *Bzzzrrkkkk..* Th-Thi-s thing work-working? Check Check Come in Fuscite, ah there we go. Gads gran-gran, there is just no keeping you out of trouble is there? Okay, so I am going to assume that you could use an assist way down there by your lonesome, so yeah... *The signal cuts off for a moment then from across the water on her little rocky spit, the scout surges the power in her gem into her cannons and a series of six rapid fire "CRACK-WHUMP's!" can be heard from the distance as six corresponding streaks of hard light, angrily cut high into the sky above the clouds...the audio signal cuts back in... "Whew! okay, that was a strain.. Okay, listen up, that includes you other two gems, whoever you are! I'm not in any sort of killin' mood today, sooo.... yeah... I'd say I'm about to bring the RAAAAAAIN.. but its already falling. You've got about eight.. mnnyehhh.. 7 seconds to clear the dance floor, unless youve all brought Duramite plated umbrellas.. I'd start moving if i were you, Caio! Catch up with ya soon Fuscite! <3.....*kssshhhhhrrkkkkkkkk....*"
The signal fades to static once again, as a low hollow droning metalic sound of the hard light shells, a mix of scatter shot and exlplosive, descends rapidly upon the arena. A signal sent to Fuscit's visor marks the terrain and aproximate locaiton of the shots to land, giving her a more expedient route out... as the ordinance begins to touch down....
In the mean time, the scout has dismissed her heavy cannons and is on a mad dash, leaping from rocky island to island on the slippery sea spray drenched terrain, to where she assumed Fuscite would arrive as well..
Sugar's plan A was just to dispatch the armor clad gem. She was standing right there, and Sugar could easily close the gap.
Then the sky started to explode.
So they had seven seconds to get out of blast range before the entire terminal was lit up like a planet that Yellow Diamond saw no use for? Brilliant. Spotting a moving figure somewhere on one of the nearby sub-terminals, Sugar darted toward Fuscite and jumped, planting both feet firmly on the armored gem's back as she primed both shotguns and triggered her Featherweight ability. After taking a deep breath, Sugar then simultaneously jumped off of the gem's back and fired both of her guns, propelling her at great speed toward the moving gem that had likely just decimated what remained of the Earth Terminal. Whoever this individual was, they posed far more of a threat than Fuscite, and they needed to be shut down. Hopefully, the smaller gem would be able to handle such a task.
Pyrope's swinging paused as she overheard the incoming message from the gracious Carbide. Indeed she recognized the voice, despite the poor quality of her transmission. It felt as if all her previous encounters were coming back to bite her, as if all the gems she met came back for revenge. The holo-fuscites kept Pyrope busy longer than she expected, and in fact she could already hear the ammunition nearing her position. In a final desperate attempt she swung her hammer in a wide arc, pushing the holograms back just enough for her to move backwards. Immediately afterwards she jumped back, just in time to dodge a shell striking in front of her, and glanced upward to try and spot where the following shots would land. She, however, was not prepared to see a shell striking down towards where she stood. She didn't have time to move out of the way, acting on instinct she brought her arms in front of her just in time for the shell to strike her. The force of the blast distributed across her, packing a serious punch but nothing compared to if she hadn't reacted with her ability.
Pyrope's stance faltered for a moment as she was hit, but after a moment she looked back up at Fuscite and wiped dust off of her. She grinned, "That the best you got?" Immediately she rushed forward, hammer back in hand charging forward with the blade pointed like a spear. It was time for some much needed payback.

Fuscite was caught off guard when Sugar used her as a jumping point, watching as the small gem just kind of...catapaulted herself away. Pyrope's strike must have dislodged something in her armor to make the invisibility not work. Bollocks. Looking up, Fuscite noticed the shells were about to land. Wonderful. With the assistance of the suit, the old explorer weaved her way through the artillery shells, heading towards the red fusion. Summoning her blades, Fuscite charged forward with a terrifying war cry, rushing Pyrope from the front. When they were about to collide, Fuscite redirected the spear, grabbed the shaft of the weapon and pulled on it, using the added momentum to aid her as she aimed her foot for Pyrope's face.

Carbide, dashes and hops along the rocky terrain, suddenly rather aware of the structure she just lit up from afar..."Shooooooooot!".... oh well, its not like it had been functional since before she had arrive on earth anyway. If anyone got cross about it, she would just blame it on the seals.. shifty little creatures-..*WHAP*
Her internal monologue is broken up by the sharp sound of what sounded like a pair of gunshots from nearby, the sound pulls her back into focus just in time for her to instinctively pull a bit more power from her gem core, to bolster her body projection's integrity as well as summon the full face version of her semi opaque visor, and the matching hard light bust protector and knuckle hand guards that manifest on her gloves, and it was all just in time too, because through the dim light and sea spray flew a sudden literal monkey on her back, as the small airborne gem closes the distance and slams into her magically hardened body. Her centuries scouting dangerous fringe worlds had certainly done their part in making certain reactions, almost automatic, and her defensive measures were certainly at the forefront of her reflexes.
"What the?! Hey, no free rides back there! Carbide digs in her rugged bots and nails the proverbial brakes, stopping short and reaching back to grab at the unexpected piggy back enthusiast.."Who are you, whats your deal with Fuscite, that wasn't looking like an overly fair fight back there?!"
Sugar hadn't expected her opponent to stop so quickly, but held on as tightly as she could. As her new foe spoke, Sugar rolled her eyes, priming and leveling one of her shotguns to the Carbide's back before pushing off and firing, propelling her backward and driving a shell at point blank range, the momentum of her attack launching her several feet back and into the air. "This matter was never of your concern. You shouldn't have gotten involved." Sugar stated as she landed, then primed her shotguns once again, aiming one at the Carbide's leg and the other at her face. However, she wasn't going to pull the trigger, not yet anyway. She didn't know much about her opponent, how she moved, potential weaknesses... The cannons were a threat, but she wouldn't use them at that close range, right?
Pyrope hoped Sugar could handle herself against whoever she was fighting. They clearly had some large firepower (or some gem tech) at their disposal. Pushing the thought aside, her reflexes caught in as Fuscite deflected her thrust. Unphased, she used her momentum to her advantage. As Fuscite pulled on her spear Pyrope followed through and jumped upward. The tip of her weapon went past Fuscite, digging into the ground stopping at the hammerhead, quickly acting as leverage for Pyrope to finish her pole-vault of Fuscite's attack.
Moving in a fluid motion, as soon as she landed Pyrope turned in a 180-degree arc with her hammer. She hoped Fuscite would be caught off guard from her maneuver, but just in case she stepped back Pyrope launched another invisible projectile from her swing. "I don't usually talk so much during combat, but I really and looking forward to wiping the floor with you." She grinned, although she had no intentions to shatter this gem it was good feeling like the score was being settled.

Fuscite majestically glided through the air, bombshells exploding around her. Pyrope had maneuvered away from her attack, and that was an improvement from their last bout. Landing, she spun on her heels as she slid a few feet, facing the red gems as she came to a stop. Rolling to the side as Pyrope swung, she dashed forward and ran in a circle around the fusion. "Fool me once, shame on you." The suit vanished from sight, shimmering into oblivion. A holo-Fuscite appeared and began making swipes up front, making sure to skirt around the edges of her weapon's effective range. Several minutes later, the suit entered the visible realm again and bee lined right for Pyrope. The visor glowed a slight green, as if the being inside were using the visor for something.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
