Okay, straight to the point!
The Rebellion is a thing. As far as we know (see right sidebar):
- The Crystal Gems have rebeled but Homeworld is not aware of the actions of the Crystal Gems on Earth
- Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
- Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
- Thanks to Roses Message gems now knowwhat the Kindergarten was used for
- Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race
The Crystal Temple is the base of the Crystal Gems (I don't know, the Temple is re-named after the movement, or the movement took its name after the Temple. Actually it doesn't really matter), it have its own warp-pad and personal rooms for Gems (every room is personality based pocket dimension as far as we know from the Show, like Rose Quartz cloudy room, or Pearl's waterfall space-room, etc)
The most important thing: Crystal Gems/Rebels have a home
The Loyalists? Not so much.
There are several Gems on Earth, some of us sent here, some of us was on vacation, mission, hiding, etc, but most of the Gems was Homeworld Gems (duh...) before the Rebellion, and now belongs to one of the two Factions (Rebels or Loyalists - tho there is a 3rd group, the Independent/undecided, but to be honest, if you are a Homeworld Loyalist, an Independent Gem is a Rebel in your eyes, since the Gem in question not with Gemkind and the Diamond's. From the Rebel's point of view, tho they are more tolerant - you can't really force someone to rebel - , since everybody needs time to decide, I think the Crystals keeping an eye of the undecided/independent Gems, becouse the potential danger they represent to the Rebellion.... - then again, this is just my two cents, and every Rebel Gem, like Homeworld Gems is a personality, so could see an independent/udecided Gem anything from a traitor to an ally, etc)
It is safe to assume, every Loyal Gem have the common sense, not to got to the Crystal Temple (or left it as soon as the Gem could) since, well its named after the Rebels/the Rebels took the Crystal "name" from it... anyhow, its a HUGE risk for a Loyalist to linger there
BUT where could a Loyalist Gem go? There aren't so much Gem structure that could serve as a base (The Spire is a cultural spot, and while it is kind of a natural territory, after the Rebels message, its pretty dangerous to be there... every Gem structure could be a potential figting ground, and not a safe place to live (until one of the Faction claims it... and can defend it)
Simply put: Loyals don't really have a place to go "home"!
I don't know what kind of message was Rose Quartz's message about the Homeworld's inntentions? It must be a planet wide transmission, - to alert and reach every Gem - first I tought there is a pretty good possibility, Humanity is well aware of the Homeworld plans too, and while the Humans tend not to mess with Gems... uhm.... "these Alien shapeshifting rocks are planning to wipe us out!!!" - so a Homeworld Gem can't really live among the Humans...
Then again... Rose Quartz wanted to alert the Gems, not cause global panic (and witch-hunt...) so the transmission maybe was something the Human's can't understand - on the Gem languaue (yeah, Gems native language is not english...) or it was only recivable by a Gem-communicator, or who knows? But since the Site plot is not about survival, hiding from the Human's Gem-hunter death squads, lets assume, it was option B. The Humans don't know about the homeworld's plans
BUT the Rebels do!
And they want to save Earth and Humanity (this is why they Rebelled after all...) and leting Loyalists live among the ones they plan to destroy/use as human shield is something they can't allow! That is logical...
Sooo... Loyalists are pariahs on Earth
njrk97 have thrown in the possibility in the shout box - and the questions are aimed to her, naturally - that the Loyals don't really have a place on Earth... but there is a Temple on the Moon (maybe the Moonbase itself)
The problem is:
- We don't have a working Warp-pad to the Moon
- Nor space ships
There are some possible solutions to this - and now comes the question to Njrk (but everybody's oppinions are welcome, just our moderator's have the last world in it^^), how possible these are?
- Repair a Warp-pad or unlock the "address" of the Moon if its locked (it is possible, Peridot's robonoids fixed the Galaxy warp. Naturally, we don't want to ruin the site plot, so still stranded on Earth, so the Fixer in question only could fix/unlock the Warp to the Moonbase/Temple)
- Build a space ship (in the Show even a lowly Pearl could built one from trash, junk, a used car parts, and so on, that could left Earth - true it exploded but left Earth. Almost... And we have some scientist Gems!)
- Use an existing ship (It is possible to use one of the ships on Earth? Lately lot of Gems crash landed, could we fix one of them to reach the Moon? Or one of the derelict colony ships?)
The reason I asking these question is simple: If we have a green light, then we make a thread, an epic story-arc how the Loyals establish their/our own first stronghold!
But more importantly our Gems would have a Home, a base-thread to mingle, talk, play, not just wandering around aimlessly
[As usual, sorry my grammar, still not my first language, but trying my best ^^ ]
