Name:
Pyrite
Appeared Gender:
Female
Appeared Age:
30
Gemstone:
Pyrite
Gemstone Location: Left thigh- just above the knee
Corrupted:(Y/N)
Appearance:
Personality: Pyrite, because of her protective nature, can seem like a good person to be around at times, but in reality she isn't that kind. People call her 'Fool's gold' because, well, she's a Pyrite, and also because people think she is a lot better than what she really is. Aside from her protectiveness and-to certain things and people-possessiveness, she likes to stay quiet and keep to herself, though she always feels better around other people, even if they are weak or an enemy. Also, because she was born and raised on Homeworld, she isn't able to voice much of a personality, all of the Pyrites have the same sort of 'Protect and Follow' guidelines that were programmed into their gems during creation.
Pyrite is rather indifferent about Homeworld's politics. She doesn't truly see the Crystal Gems as bad people, but she also doesn't see them as very good, either.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: Being at the front of a conflict, being seen as a higher person, (And, after seeing Garnet fuse for the first time,) Trying to be a different person, Blue Diamond, White Diamond, Earth, Homeworld
Dislikes: Humans, Yellow Diamond, Peridots, Rubies, Quartz Soldiers, Agates, entitled gems and people
Fears:
Pyrite fears that she will be shattered for failing to protect someone. She also fears that those she is possessive of will eventually break away from her and leave her behind.
Weapon: Chest and leg Armour:
Ability 1: She has the power to stop a being's movement for 10 seconds, but it is strenuous and takes around 20 minutes to use it again.
Fusions: None yet
History: Pyrite was born the same as any other of her kind. She works under Yellow Diamond, Pyrites being a big part in defensive military, but she'd always looked up far more to Blue Diamond. She's held her in high regards for her beauty and calm personality, though she is still intimidate by the Diamond Authorities as a whole. Once, she had reported in with a convoy of other Army gems looking to help in Blue Diamond's confrontation with the Crystal Gems, but the only gems that were able to make it close enough to fight Rose and Pearl were a few of Blue Diamond's followers and three Rubies. Once Pyrite had seen the fusion of Garnet for the first time, she pretended to act disgusted, but soon found that many other gems, just like her, had found the display of cross-gem fusion rather beautiful. She and a small group now try these fusions in secret, but haven't been able to find a good-enough standout identity for themselves, and thus haven't actually fused with a different gem.
Character Arcs: I'm looking forward to roleplaying lots with Pyrite so that eventually I can have her create a more individual person from the other Pyrites. Where she learns not to be so possessive, but still healthily protective. I want her to eventually fuse, too, and so I hope that her fusing will help better her as a gem.
