Sugar couldn't help but pause as the two were acknowledged. Was she the cute one? Was Pyrope? Why was she so distracted by this gem? A light sigh escaped her lips as she averted her focus from the flirtatious waiter. Waitress. Hell, she couldn't even really tell at this point. To be frank, this gem's very presence was confusing on a number of levels to the former Drop Trooper, but she had a job to do. No matter how good that ass looked.
Focus, Sug. Focus.
The shorter gem took a second to clear her throat before speaking, glancing between Pyrope and the waiter as she spoke. "We're looking for a gem. Someone who had made a bit of a presence screwing with the loyalists on this planet." she replied, her eyes locked on his. Hers. Whatever. She was going to find this guy, and nobody's ass was going to stop her.
Despite her now serious manner, Pyrope was actually delighted to finally have her meal. She did not eat often, but it was a practice she often enjoyed (although usually in private), and this was certainly something unusual. She let Sugar do the talking, something she was not skilled in, and enjoyed her meal in silence. She did pipe up once though, after swallowing a mouth full of mutton, "Right, and we don't want to be causing a scene. So if you wouldn't mind cooperating..." Despite her passive tone, there was an unmistakable threat. In truth she had no intentions of actually roughing anyone up (not unless Sugar was adament about it for the mission) but the threat of violence usually worked just as well in her experience.
With her two cents in she turned back to her food, enjoying a large gulp of 'ale'. The portions may have been insane, but she was making good headway into it. Indeed she seemed to be rather enjoying indulging on good food for once, much better than most the junk food she snuck from in town.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
