Agate was caught off guard by the table flipping around, suddenly his entire weight straining against he constraints as he hung above the floor. Despite everything he still had energy left in him, biding his time till an opportunity like this. The cables restricted his movement somewhat, but with his remaining strength Agate made a push against the table while he had the chance. His initial assumption that it would be easier to break his restraints while upside down were apparently unfounded. He found himself fighting gravity to find purchase to push against his bindings.
Eventually he gave up, resigning himself once again to the procedure, and hung there limp. He noted the wires kept moving within him (a terrible feeling like maggots in one's skin) and even moved to connect to some external device. Of course this was followed by a feeling of molten metal being poured through his gem core. The pain was indescribable. Agate lost all his senses as he screamed out in pain as loud as his form could manage.
Once Obsidian flipped Agate around he was limp, devoid of all energy or will to fight. Through his blurred vision Agate could see the sinister smile of Opalite as something struck his head. He passed out...

As the world fades within the view of Agate eyes, Mr. Obsidian roared out her uncontrollable laughter. The Psycho laughter echoed through the hallways of the ship and Agate shattered mind. Without a second to waste, the Mad scientist made her way towards a strange mask that rested on top of a table. Mr. Obsidian picked up the strange mask and slowly made her way to Agate unconscious body, her eerie smile unfazed as she made her way to Agate. There was no words needed anymore for Obsidian, she had finished one of her cancelled projects without the help from Homeworld, Slowly descending from it's place, Obsidian hand moved downward from it's position, the strange mask descending down on Agate face. What it seemed like mere minutes, the masked slowly clasped around the innocent friendly face of Agate, the edges of the mask tighten on Agate face, making sure that it won't fall off easily. ..
It was dark, abnormally so. It took Agate a while to realize where he was, but eventually it clicked. Of course his first instinct was to struggle but it was a fruitless effort. As he was struggling the lights in the room seemed to come on all of a sudden, dazing him for a moment before he calmed down and adjusted. The whole room almost seemed to have an odd red tint to it, had the lights changed? Perhaps but... it felt as if he was having trouble breathing as well. Despite he didn't have the need to do so, he had fallen into the human habit. He quickly realized the labored feeling came from the mask now planted on his face. Of course he panicked, trying to rip it from himself, but of course his arms were tied down.
Instead he resigned himself to looking over himself. What happened while he was out... His entire form was covered by a somewhat flexible metal sheet and his hands... up to his elbows were massive gauntlets with spikes going up the rest distance of his arm. His legs had some sort of support along the back, as if it was some sort of suspension. He rested back onto the table, processing what had happened to him. He'd been turned into a forced operator of some sort of mechanical suit. Whatever the case, he was dependent on someone to find him, his arms apparently non-functioning.

It took exactly 3 hours for Agate to wake up from it's "sleeping" session, it was more than enough time for Obsidian to plant a "memory" inside of Agate's core, one of which, introduced Mr. O laughing at the crying agate as Obsidian, herself saved Agate from Mr. O by outsmarting him by using his own ship against him, which ended with him flying out of the ship's escape pods and her trying to reassure Agate that everything will be okay.
"Let's hope this works..." She exhaled loudly, entering the lab room with her hair messed up, looking like she did engage in a fight with a gem before. "H-Hey... are you okay?" she slowly made her way towards him, feigning worry and interest toward the captive gem, she wasn't a novice at deceiving gems or people with pure acting, she had years of experience on her pockets. After all, how are you stay alive when you are practicing taboo on Homeworld with Diamonds that can shatter you in any minute.
The moment Obsidian stepped into the room Agate froze. His first instinct was to struggle, but something came to mind... like he was trying to remember a foggy memory. Had he met this gem before? He didn't think so and yet a thought was trying to push itself to the front of his mind. "Obsidian..." Of course! This gem had saved him from... from Opalite. He could feel his anger returning, he had betrayed him! The suit's red visor and cracks all around it began to glow brighter as if powered. In his anger Agate wrenched his arm up, managing to tear it free from his restraints.
Shortly after realizing his victory Agate ripped his other arm free, followed swiftly by his legs. He rose from the table, standing up in front of Obsidian. He found himself leaning on his new mechanical arms, as they were rather heavy, assume an almost gorilla like pose. He spoke up, but just like moving it was made difficult by the suit, "Where..." memories of Obsidian fighting with Opalite and launching him through the escape pods flashed painfully through his mind, "...I'm fine. Where did he go." His visor brightened up again and his mechanical fingers dug into the floor of the ship, "I want to find him... Make him pay..." He raised a hand and gripped it into a fist, "... for this. For tricking me... for all of it." He rested his fist back down and turned to look at Obsidian, "Help me..."

"I sent him spiraling down to earth with a escape pod... he could be anywhere." she said, placing a hand on Agate shoulder, acting as if she was a motherly type figure. "We will make him pay but first we must address the issue first... Do you remember your name?" she asked, retracting her hand to claps it with the other one. "Yes.. yes, What that Opal did to you was cruel...torturing you for.. hours i think? he even played with your body while you were unconscious" she added in. " It worked!" Obsidian thought in her mind "Another victory for me, The Mad Scientist" she grinned madly inside her sinister mind. "Even though i saved you from that Opal.. Is there anyone else he might go after?" She finally looked down at her own S.T.A.N.D.
"I will Help you... And you will help me, together we will get your revenge."
He did his best to recall what he remembered, but it was all hazy. Thoughts fought to dominate his mind, not helped by Obsidian reminding him of what happened not to long ago. Painful memories of the torture and of those implanted clouded his mind, his hands unknowingly digging deep into the metal ground of the ship. Suddenly a memory popped in, of Opalite looking down at him with that smile on his face as he spoke his name, "Agate..." His voice and breath were ragged, from the suit and the exhaustion the mental strife he was having. Unknown to him the supplanting of memories had affected things, possibly beyond even Obsidian's knowledge.
His grip loosened, leaving noticeable gouges in the floor, "There is... something. Someone..." He fought again to remember something he felt should come so naturally to him and yet... The name struck him, "Carbide! Need to help her... He might..." He made a move to walk past Obsidian, pushing past into the corridor, but he realized he had no idea where he was or how to get where he needed. He turned back to Obsidian, "I need to get to the Kindergarden..."

"Agate..." Obsidian placed a hand over Agate's shoulder, her voice sounded grim. "You don't remember who brought you here either?" Obsidian wasn't a fool to any degree, she not only tried to cover her own escape but her partners as well, since well. Sugar practically lived here in her ship, so in replacement of sugar dragging Agate body in his own memory, Obsidian had to modify that memory as well, which could ended in a disaster as well, since modifying a gem's memory within their gem core could prove disastrous but it was a risk she had to take. "You don't remember carbide bringing you in here as well?"
The memory was only slightly changed, instead of Sugar barging in and shooting him mercilessly with her shotguns, it was Carbide with her battering ram weapon. It would make sense that this actually happened, seeing that only the "two" of agate closest friends know where he is and when to strike with him having the littlest possibility to counter back.
"If you need to head back to the kindergarten that desperately... I will do what i can but i can't fend myself again from those two... not by myself, luckily with them gone i managed to find a Central computer for all these automatons, given the chance i took it and hacked all of them by myself." she smiled with her lie coming out of the mouth, placing a hand over one of her automatons.
His silent visor turned to Obsidian, listening intently as the light flared every now and then. He started to question his own memory, surely it was... it was... He winced as his memory almost seemed to correct itself, flashing back to Carbide, hunting him down at his own home and bringing him to Opalite personally. But he said... A lie, obviously. Everything Opalite said must have been a lie, those... those... TRAITORS! Without realizing it he had punched a hole through the entrance to the door way, looking over his gauntlet, "I have to go. I want to find them, both of them." He examined the drone, nodding his head slightly. Without warning he reached out and grabbed in, turning it over to scan it further, "Funny... that whole night must have been a ruse. These drones, I remember them... He seemed so protective." Without looking away he crushed it in his fist, holding onto it for a while before releasing the mess onto the floor. "Let's go."

"Wait." Obsidian grabbed Agate shoulder, hesitant about releasing Agate out against a portal maniac and a bazooka wielding psycho without testing the suit had in store for Agate. " I don't have the right to say this but... I know what you are feeling but let's not attack them right away until we KNOW we can take them down. You don't even know what your suit can do yet... Maybe if we can discover it's secrets maybe it could take down those two without any problems." she cooed, moving closer to Agate. "Please let me help you... It'll be pointless for me to save you and you just die on me.." she said feigning worry in her voice. " I-im sorry." letting go of him "I feel like we should change your name... I feel that calling you Agate is going to bring some horrible memories you have with ..them."
The hesitation was almost palatable, he wanted nothing more than to act as quickly as possible. In fact he found it hard to actually tear his mind away from these new memories, as if they forcibly dominated his thoughts. But reason won, barely, "Grr... you're right. We have to make sure this thing functions. For all we know Opalite has some fail safe to keep me from pursuing him." He stated O's name with more than a bit of venom, but he relaxed. It struck him he hadn't really observed his surroundings, taking a moment to look around as Obsidian continued.
There was an almost visible flinch as he heard the concern in Obsidian's voice, for whatever reason the thought of having someone close was oddly... unappealing. Shrugging Obsidian off, "I can handle myself. But you may be right, not that I plan on using my words on them. Why not..." He racked his mind for gem names, "Hmm... Dolomite. Always thought it had a ring to it. Now-" Agate, er... Dolomite turned towards the hallway, "Let's go find something to test this on, I feel like smashing something. And I suppose O is going to have to wait..."

"There's some nice boulders near us." she stated, following Agate close. "Dolomite" she issued his name with no problems at all. "If you feel anything off in the armor set that Opalite "installed" on you, like if you feel like you're gonna explode or something stupid like that, don't tough it out, just tell me. After all, what's good saving you if you're just gonna die in the next second." she tried to joke around, doing her best to avoid certain specific tones/personality quirks/ and attitudes with Agate. Obsidian did not want to do anything that could trigger a "problem" in Agate false memories.
She moved ahead, stopping in front of the ship's door. "Well then Dolomite, let us begin our journey for your..... revenge"
Melody: "The fight system of this site is really Ehh..." Well... how would you improve it? ^^

Flurry: I think that theres not much that can be done in just, regular rps, I think before a fight both sides should agree to do it, and decide the winner based on logic, because otherwise we're doing this "Hey im really cool" thing that goes back and forth

Flurry: I made Flurry cause id rather have a support/non fighting character anyway

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
