This wasn't going as planned. First of all, Turquoise shouldn't be sitting on the ground, with chains strapping her arms to her sides. Secondly, she didn't have any romantic interests in other gems, let alone wanting anyone to think she was cute. And finally, there was an itch on her back which she couldn't rea- And even thinking about it made it itch even more! The gem started to struggle again, trying to make the chains scratch her back for her, but to little success.
Halfway through her attempts to scratch her back, Turquoise realised that the Moonstone was still talking about all kinds of things no one had even asked him about. This was made even worse by the fact that he was trying to stare deeply into her eyes. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable about this, she looked at Bloodstone. "Please, getting swung around like a ball is so much better than having to listen to this raving clod..." She grumbled.
"Dude, can you not do the romance right now? I'm kind of in the middle of something" Bloodstone rolled his eyes and sighed as the chains scratched the spot where Turquoise was itching. At least Octi was somewhat kind in this case, right? "That aside, let me fix you a little." He lifted Turq up so she didn't have to stare into Moonstone's eyes. "So, how long have you been on Earth? I'm actually kind of surprised I haven't seen you before. And I've been on this place for some time now." Octi sighed and shrugged "Just gonna mention this now, if I randomly switch genders it just happens. I can go by Octavian or Octavia, depending on the gender form"

"My name is Moonstone, but you can just call me Moon. And by the way, I wasn't trying to be romantic by staring into your eyes. I was just trying to get my message across. And Octi, I will let you deal with her. But she needs to think about what I said too. She needs to find her individuality. Make sure that message gets across." he said. He then tinkers with some more parts that he has left. He tries to take his mind off of Turquoise, but still thinks she's acting like she's been brainwashed, just like any other gem that's been created that still haven't found what they can be without others telling them otherwise. He feels deep within that she will develop romantic feelings for another gem, even if those feelings aren't reserved for him. "So, please explain your business here."
Now, it wasn't optimal to be held one foot off the ground, chained up, and hanging in front of a strange gem's face, but it sure beat staring into the eyes of a gem that didn't know how to stop talking. So while Turquoise was hanging there in front of the Bloodstone, she came to the conclusion that even though she was stuck with two gems she didn't want to know, things weren't so bad. Turquoise just kicked her feet slightly in the air, as a frown wiped over her face.
"I've been here for a while now. I could tell you the exact amount of centuries, but it appears I can't reach my wrist tech." Turquoise said, nodding down at the blue hologram of which small parts were showing through the chains. "In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if I were here before you. I'm a very important gem. Which also means that you shouldn't hurt me because that's how important gems work." Hoping this would be enough to convince the Bloodstone to not hurt her, Turquoise managed to force a small smile.
"I keep saying I'm not going to hurt you, why do you think I am? Is it because I'm a Jasper?" Octi sighed as he set Turquoise down but still kept her wrapped up. "Let me explain a little bit. Homeworld probably stopped caring about me a few years after I landed her with the colonization program. I was a Quartz knight back home, so I'm probably just as important as YOU are. Or at least carry some influence." Bloodstone looked down at her, crouching a little "I'm only keeping you wrapped up like this until I deem our conversation is over. Unless you give me a good reason to, I won't hurt you. That's all. Tell me, have you ever been down to the beach here? I'm just...curious.."

"I am also as important as you both are as I am the former head of our engineering and reasearch team which was assembled by Blue Diamond to aid our expansion beyond Homeworld. We aren't meant to talk to each other much though. That mainly explains why I say and do weird things. And when Octi mentioned the beach, I think it's a nice place" said Moonstone. "But the questions are who are you and who do you work for?" he asked as he gave Turquoise a serious look, yet trying not to smile awkwardly. "Ok, I have to admit, I have social issues. Like I said before, we haven't really interacted much for centuries. It really starts to get to your head." he said, frowning.
After being set down, Turquoise tried reaching for her gem again with the tips of her fingers. Still being a few inches short, she cursed herself for not knowing how to shapeshift like she had seen other gems do so often. If only she could make two of her fingers a little longer, she could have been out of there in no time. Turquoise wasn't supposed to stand this long in one place. She wasn't just some glorified Pearl.
At least she was lucky enough that her wrist tech was still recording all of this. With all the exposition these gems were giving about themselves, Turquoise could start a database on rebel gems. She just had to get caught by several more, and let them do the talking. So even though she didn't care much about the two gems and their origins, she just let them talk while she gathered information on them. "Oh, I've never been to that beach, no. There's lots of rebels around these parts, you know?" Turquoise quickly answered Bloodstone's question. "But please, do tell me more about yourself. I'm really interested."
"I'm sure you are.." Bloodstone muttered as he looked Turquoise over. Octi was trying to figure out if there was any tech on her that he could possibly turn off, temporarily of course. "You have to realize the only reason I wanted to tell you this is so you HOPEFULLY don't give me an excuse to pound you into the ground." He looked over at Moonstone "A lot of gems have been here on Earth you know, both rebel and Homeworld. And it's kinda obvious she's working for Homeworld, in my opinion at least. Actually...used to be working for Homeworld, am I correct?" Octi looked down at Turquoise "You're stuck here like the rest of us are. Why are you still trying to gather information? Assuming that's what you were doing in that cornfield at least."
Post by Moonstone (The Silver Knight) on Aug 22, 2016 15:08:37 GMT
"I agree with your logic Octi. She CLEARLY doesn't seem aligned with the rebels. So if she's spying on us, she must be aligned with Homeworld." Moonstone said to Octi as he shifts his attention to Turquoise. "Once again what is your name, Cutie. I am gonna call you that until you tell us your name." he said as he snickered. "Forget about Facet and Cut, we dont really care about that." Moonstone said as he hets closer to examine the gem who keeps dodging his questions like this some game of dodgeball. "You know, I don't like having to do this to someone as cute as you, but..." he said as he takes out his claymore and points it at Turquoise. "NOW TALK!!!" He demanded as he tried so hard to glare at her.
Turquoise grumbled, as she longed more and more to be able to run freely again. And judging by the way they looked at her, she already expected the Bloodstone to be looking for her wrist tech. Lucky for her, it was bound nicely under the chains, together with the rest of Turquoise's arms. Which meant that if that gem would try to turn it off, it'd likely give Turquoise just enough time to grab her hook, hit the two gems over the head with it, and speed away from that wooden building.
But that didn't matter now. What was of utmost importance right now was keeping that Moonstone from calling her cute ever again. "I'm a Turquoise, you clod! And I wasn't made to be called cute, like some kind of fancy Pearl!" It was obvious Moonstone had hit a sensitive topic there. Clearly Turquoise didn't want to be considered anything but an asset to the Homeworld scientists. Which was exactly why she disliked the way the Bloodstone just assumed how a lack of transport towards Homeworld would make her useless for them. "And just because I can't get to Homeworld now, that doesn't mean I should slack off. Any kind of data can be used once I'm connected to the Homeworld database again. I'd be a bad Turquoise - no, just a bad gem in general - if I just stopped doing my job because some pink rock forgets about her loyalty."
"Hmph, that Pink rock is a Quartz still, whether she's a traitor or not. I carry an amount of respect for most of the Quartzes anyway. It tends to happen when you're a Quartz Knight anyway." Bloodstone rolled his eyes as he looked over at Moonstone "You do realize flirting isn't going to work, right? That stuff never works. Trust me, I learned the hard way." Octi sighed in slight frustration as he turned his attention back to Turquoise "You're not even connected to the Homeworld database? Not gonna lie, that's kinda impressive." He could sense the wrist tech hidden under his chain, it was infuriating that he couldn't get to it without freeing Turquoise so he sighed and leaned back "So tell me, did you have any plan of action or course to take after all this? Assuming Homeworld DOES come and take revenge on the crystal gems?"

"Well, I know she doesn't like being called cute, so I used that to our advantage to get her identity." he says to Octi. He then look to Turquoise. "You know, the Diamonds are nothing but imperialist scumbags who use us gems for their own person gain, they don't care about another gem's desires. You should do what YOU want, not what the Diamonds want. Technically we are all slaves, but most of us didn't know it because our minds were 'programmed' by them. It's ok if you love what ypu were created to do, as long as it doesn't involve hurting innocent creatures, but you should go beyond that. Live amd love what there is to enjoy your stay on Earth. There are many things that are here that will be destroyed if the Diamonds colonize this planet. They won't negotiate any deals whatsoever." He finally said in a serious manner.
This was getting ridiculous. Those two gems were just talking about the Diamonds as if they were evil overlords. Well, it was mostly the Moonstone who did that, but the Bloodstone was defending Rosequartz's actions, which was pretty much the same thing to Turquoise. And now he even had the audacity to call her out on not being connected to the Homeworld database. "Well I would be connected to Homeworld, if someone hadn't messed with the communication hubs." Turquoise said slightly irritated. All she wanted was to just send her data to those who knew what to do with it. Keeping it all to herself was driving her crazy.
"And you, Moonstone, you should stop acting like you know me." The gem pulled on the chains slightly by leaning her body away from the others. "Because unlike you, I haven't forsaken my own people. This planet has more in it than just some inferior life forms. It has the potential and minerals to help billions of gems!" As she talked about this, a heart-warming smile appeared on Turquoise's face. It was clear that the mere thought of the Earth colony made her quite happy. "I don't want to give up on the gems I work and live for, just to keep things like that alive." Turquoise said, as she nodded towards the cows. "I mean, have you seen them? They can't even build a proper wall!"
Bloodstone couldn't help but laugh when he realized what Turquoise was talking about. "Those things didn't build that! Those are cows, the humans keep them around as livestock for drinks and food." Octi sighed and smiled "Humans probably built that fence some years ago and just forgot to take care of it when it got in bad condition." Bloodstone stretched a little as he kept the chains on Turquoise. "You have to realize the humans are the dominant species on Earth. I've discovered they've taken control of most of the planet. They tend to take poor care of the environment though sometimes, supposedly in one of the oceans there's a big pile of refuse and waste in one of the oceans they have here."

"Moonstone also laughs a bit. "I was about to say the same thing to her. She is so naive, that it's a bit funny." he stated. "Shall we give you a tour? I think you may be impressed. Just the three of us interacting with humans and being a part of their culture and society. I bet you can learn a lot from these humans." Moonstone said with a bright smile. "You can add this to your research" He said as he put his claymore away. "Oh, and I am sorry for being annoying and threatening you earlier." he finally apologized. "But the way I feel about you-" he paused. "No, I am not gonna say anything else." he said with a sigh.
Melody: "The fight system of this site is really Ehh..." Well... how would you improve it? ^^

Flurry: I think that theres not much that can be done in just, regular rps, I think before a fight both sides should agree to do it, and decide the winner based on logic, because otherwise we're doing this "Hey im really cool" thing that goes back and forth
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:03 GMT
Flurry: I made Flurry cause id rather have a support/non fighting character anyway
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:31 GMT
Chip the Fire Opal: I have Chip who is a killing machine... and Sapphire who couldn't fight a broom

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
