Zircon, though he had become optimistic about escaping, had realized that it was nearly impossible to escape without outside help. He hadn't seen Spinel in months, so he was out of the question, and he didn't know how O would respond to him abandoning him to be Spinel's apprentice. Zircon hadn't though about Spinel since he had fused into Fire Agate. He hadn't had a reason to, until now. Did Spinel actually want to pass on his knowledge, or had he just taken advantage of him to spread the corruption? Zircon had a lot of time to think while he had been on this ship, and he would probably have a lot more. He didn't want to think about Spinel right now. Zircon looked towards his cell door, waiting for something, anything to happen.

The metal door opened from it's sides, revealing Obsidian, The Elite Scientist, known for her works and some "rumors" that once reached the ears of Homeworld citizens about her "taboo" work but with a little help from the Diamonds, the "rumors" that once pledged the ears of Homeworld, suddenly stopped. Obsidian entered the room, looking directly at the hopeless Zircon, chuckling she waves in a pearl, who was pushing in a hovering cart, fully equipped with bundles of wires and other junk to the untrained eye but to someone whose experience is far and beyond of Human tech, this wasn't just a bundle of wires and hunk of scrap metal lying around in the cart.
It was a machine, but not just a normal heavy machine, no, the machine looked like it can be worn by any gem, any size. The machine looked complete to any scientist but for Obsidian, it was ALMOST complete, she had needed a few key components which thankfully due to Zircon, she had just just right tools to finish the job. " I'd like to thank you Zircon" she started " For not only bringing me a unknown component to help me research on BUT for helping me finish one of my projects." She pulled out a vial, the continents of the vial were glowing a hue of violet, swirling around within the vial. "So, Im giving you the glory of seeing me, Obsidian, to finish this project with your very own eyes." she grinned madly, turning around to insert the vial into the machine, the machine soon takes the components of the Corruption virus into account, but it wasn't really the corruption virus no. It was the bonding agent of the virus, The Corruption could be only affected towards gems only, and unlike human sickness, it's not airborne but instead can be transferred by simple fusion.
To make things simple, It's beneficial factor of the corruption is it's ability to "stick" on a gem, this could also be proven on how some forms of the corruption, the virus never "falls out" from the carrier but the question remained in Zircon head. What is she going to do on him?
" To progress into the future, one must practice all theories and ideas of science"
" But to ensure our future, one must practice taboo as well."
Zircon looked up at Obsidian as she spoke, his eyes moving from her, to the Pearl and then to the cart. It had some kind of machine on it. Didn't look completely finished, to Zircon. Mostly due to the lack of a case on the outside to protect it from stuff. "Yeah, no problem, feel free to send your pets after me anytime you need to finish a project." He said regarding Sugar. He stared at the vial, filled with purple stuff. Was that what Obsidian got out of him with those drills? Zircon didn't know that the Corruption had a physical form, other then the stuff that formed on his old limb enhancers. Zircon didn't know a lot about Obsidian, or her prior experiments.. Which was bad, because that also meant that he didn't know what she would do to him. Another worrying thing that she said was "But to ensure our future, one must practice taboo as well," which could mean a few things. Zircon only knew about one taboo on Homeworld, which was the fusion of more then one kind of gem. Other then that, Zircon couldn't think of any other taboos on Homeworld. Then again, he wasn't there for long before he got assigned to a ship.

Obsidian chuckled as her assistant drilled the metal husk of the contraption into it's place, securing the wiring and core from moving or from damage. "Pets? Oh, i'm glad you and me see my associates as pets~" She giggled, earning a face of discomfort from her pearl. " I present to you~" she picked up the machine, equipping the machine to her back, she slid her right arm into the extended coil tube that stood out from the machine side. "A machine that will change the world of Homeworld battles~" She raised her equipped arm " Forced Fusion!"
She smirked at the trapped gem, she merely glanced at her pearl which in turn flinched at her site. "Open it." The pearl quickly ran to the console, deactivating the shield that trapped the zircon, Obsidian stood there, with both hands placed on her waist, she then merely walked inside the cage with the Zircon inside, she waited for ZIrcon to make a run for it and if he did, that would spell the end for him.
we'll have to see if he decides to run from Obsidian.
Wait, did Obsidian just say what Zircon thought she did? Forced Fusion? "C-Conscious Forced Fusion..?! Even Homeworld wouldn't do that! Do you think they would respect you for this?!" Zircon said, raising his voice after the first sentence. "Do.. Do you think Homeworld respects monsters like you?! Yellow Diamond herself would find this wrong!" He shouted, standing and backing up into the corner of his cell. He had nowhere to run. Even if he could get out of his cell, he had no idea where the exit was.. He wouldn't have enough space to strike with his sword if he summoned it.. There was nothing he could do. The small gem was terrified, and disgusted. He was backed into a corner with no way out, no way to fight back.. He closed his eyes and accepted his fate- There was nothing he could do to stop her.

Obsidian could barely hold a smirk as Zircon called her a "monster"
"It doesn't really matter how i word it to the higher ups, they'll just believe me." she added in, swaying her way to the cornered gem. " I'm doing this for the greater good of Homeworld! Sacrifices are needed to further evolve our race beyond what we think of!" She went off, moving around her equipped arm, taunting the gem for Obsidian personal taste. she reeled back her equipped arm, showing off a devilish smile at Zircon before throwing her arm outward, releasing the cable that was attached to the machine. A hissing sound burst from the machine, sending itself at in incredible speed.
The speed was just as fast as a bullet leaving a chamber and the "corruption" agent helped with it's "properties", making it a magnetic hook only for gems. "Experience the new Homeworld, Zircon!" she laughed like a maniac
Zircon barely had time to speak before the cable from Obsidian's machine sprung out at him and latched onto his chest. He was pulled closer to Obsidian quickly, staggering as he was torn from his spot in the corner. He hit Obsidian in the middle, a bit dizzy from the collision. He wanted to say something that might stop her from doing this, but it was too late. The two fused in the small cell, their minds and their bodies melding into one. The fusion was very unstable, but the machine stopped them from unfusing. Zircon didn't like this, he wanted out now, like right now. Zircon had been in a fusion once before, and because of that slightly knew how to control them. He tried to tell the fusion to leave the cell.

From the mist of a blinding light, a figure was form from the two gems. The figure laid on the ground as if it was knocked out by something, the pearl decided to open the cage once again, moving closer to the fusion. "O-Obsidian?" the pearl asked.
The sound of a fist slamming to the floor suddenly erupted the room's eerie silence, the figure slowly stood up, easily hitting it's hit on the roof, the figure flinched and growled. The fusion did not respond at all from Zircon's order but instead stood there, ignoring Zircon existence in the fusion. A chuckle soon formed into insane laughter came from the fusion mouth. "It works! It actually works! I am in total control of this fusion!" the fusion cracked it's fingers. Without warning, the fusion fingers sprung into the fusion body, scratching, drilling, and piercing itself without a care in the world. "T-this, this is the greatest feeling in the world!" the pain was luckily divided by the gems in this fusion. "I can only feel a mere half of what i am doing to myself!" she proclaimed as if she wanted Zircon to hear what she was saying.
"Pearl!" The fusion yelled, barely containing it's excitement. "Open the roof! now!" the pearl scrambled back to the console, activating the hatch of the room, which the fusion quickly jumped out off.
Zircon had no way to fight back.. Even in a fusion. He felt helpless, useless.. Worthless. The only reason he wasn't already shattered is because Obsidian needed lab rats. He didn't know what to do. He thought for a moment, inside the mind of the fusion. He would either have to wait for Obsidian to be done with her joyride, or he could somehow break the machine. He decided on a compromise. He would try to get the machine broken, but if he couldn't he would just let Obsidian do her thing. Not much else he could do if his plan failed. Now came the other part of his plan- How would he actually break the machine? He had no control in the fusion, at least not physically.. Maybe he could mentally trick the fusion? He didn't know if that was possible, but he would have to try it. He started feeding the fusion mental propaganda about the machine.

There was a silence, the fusion standing still has Zircon attempted to talk to it's mind. The fusion began to rub it's head, as if trying to claim it's head down from a headache, Obsidian soon realize what was Zircon trying to do. "All i hear inside my mind is a annoying little brat!" the fusion yells but slowly begins to laugh again, raising it's hands toward it's face, soon the fingers scratched and drilled itself on the gem's face. "Don't you get it! Any attempt to break free from this prison is useless!" The fusion soon ceased to self harm itself, clenching it's teeth tightly from it's many stings of pain. "Now that i've taught you a lesson, it's time to experiment with the abilities.." Obsidian thought for a while what might the fusions ability might even be, but due to no sheer practice with her "partner", Obsidian was clueless to figuring out what secrets this fusion had in store for her.
Zircon had no other options. He kept trying to feed it propaganda but he doubted it would work. Even if it did, what would he do when he got out of the fusion? Run back to Beach City? If Obsidian found him in a hole in a Kindergarten, then he had no doubt she could find him in the middle of a populated city. And even if she didn't track him down again, who would he stay with? Spinel wasn't really an option- Not only did Zircon not trust him too much, but he hadn't seen Spinel since they had fused into Fire Agate. Mr. O was a 50/50 chance for a few reasons. Those were really the only two gems Zircon knew that would possibly help him. There were the other gems that O had worked with, but he didn't know them very well. He would figure out a plan later- that is if he actually escaped this fusion.

The Fusion raised it's hand outward, channelling something inside of the fusion, seeking a "connection" between the two, which surprisingly they did. It was instinct what drove the fusion to do what was going to happen next, with a snap of it's fingers, a blob of red hot lava appeared from thin air, then the earth's gravity took control of the lava and made it fall on the ground. "Interesting..." She snapped her fingers couple of times, the blob of lava appearing only 3 more times before her ability reached it's usage limit.
She decided to toy around with Zircon more "Hey Zircon, why don't you have a go at this?~" she cooed, The fusion giving a grin that is a identical to Obsidian's grin, she knew that Zircon couldn't control the fusion more. She just wanted to see him squirm
"How dumb do you think I am? Go to 'hell', as the humans say." He spoke from inside the fusion. 'Hell' was one of the words that Zircon had picked up while in Beach City. To be completely honest, he had no idea what it meant, but it was probably a bad thing. As the fusion had said, the ability was interesting. Summoning a ball of lava was odd. Zircon had no idea what the fusion could actually do with the ball of lava, besides let it plop to the ground. He decided that feeding the fusion propaganda wasn't doing anything. His next plan was to try misdirecting it. If it wanted to go right, he would tell it to go left. If it wanted to jump, he would tell it to squat, etc. Zircon had no idea if it would work- probably not, but it was worth a shot.

The Fusion staggered a bit as Obsidian commanded to walk back to the ship, seeing that the fusion legs were hesitant to move in one direction, The Fusion clawed it's other arm, trying to inflict pain back to Zircon "Well, seeing how you ended up in here, yes i do think you are dumb AND WILL YOU STOP MESSING AROUND WITH THE FUSION!" she yelled mentally back to zircon, you can clearly tell how annoyed she is from the tone of her voice.
Meanwhile the machine was beginning to produce sputtering sounds from the back of the fusion (which is where the machine was attached to). "Shit.." The fusion cursed, looking back again at the ship, Obsidian ordered the fusion to "make a run for it" back to the ship, fearing that her prototype might be at it's limit.
Zircon grunted mentally from inside the fusion's mind. Zircon pushed through the pain, telling the fusion to stop abruptly as it ran. "..Do you even know what happened to me after I fought you? A lot of 'shit'. You have no right to call me dumb, you egotistical, self centered clod." He said, thinking for a moment. There was obviously something wrong with the device Obsidian had used to fuse with him. It was beeping, which usually wasn't a good thing when it came to machines. Aside from that, the fusion had started running when the machine started beeping, which also meant that something was wrong. If he could keep the fusion from getting back to the ship, the machine might malfunction and the fusion might split- allowing him to escape.
Melody: "The fight system of this site is really Ehh..." Well... how would you improve it? ^^
Oct 14, 2019 17:53:41 GMT
Flurry: I think that theres not much that can be done in just, regular rps, I think before a fight both sides should agree to do it, and decide the winner based on logic, because otherwise we're doing this "Hey im really cool" thing that goes back and forth
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:03 GMT
Flurry: I made Flurry cause id rather have a support/non fighting character anyway
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:31 GMT
Chip the Fire Opal: I have Chip who is a killing machine... and Sapphire who couldn't fight a broom
Oct 14, 2019 19:58:03 GMT
Flurry: Ive got Sulfur who impales people with a lot of swords, and Flurry who cant even heal people without being on the verge of collapse
Oct 14, 2019 19:59:04 GMT
Light: so... You think the fight system is bad, but you also don't know how to improve it? I understand what you are trying to say, but it is something that roleplayers should take care of. Admins can only tell you that the way you play is wrong or ban

Rat: Welp, guess I'll die.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
