Name:"Amity"/Ametrine
Appeared Gender: Female/Feminine
Appeared Age: 16
Gemstone:
Gemstone Location: Belly
Corrupted: No
Appearance:
Personality: Despite being a type of Quartz, she never wanted to become a warrior. She dislikes fighting and will try to avoid it at any cost, first by reason and then by running away as a last resort. She is a very laid back and even an arguably lazy gem who goes with the flow of whatever is going on around her. She's extremely open to learning about the things around her and can adapt to whatever surroundings she finds herself in, but because of this open learning she is prone to being gullible and following whatever she is told. She tries her best to be kind to those who show kindness to her, and vice versa, however she has a tendency to be honest which sometimes offends others. She's easy going and cares little of what other gems think of her low work ethic, however she finds herself getting offended when she's called defective due to her long history of being called defective on Homeworld. Due to her past, she has a hatred for Homeworld and those who agree with their beliefs, but will try her best to negotiate with them to give them understanding. She tries to look on the bright side of life and will try her best to be optimistic in dire circumstances.
Likes/Dislikes:
+ Human and their Ideals
+ The Ocean
+ "Furry Humans" (Animals)
+ The Internet
- Taffy (It's sticky and it gets all over her hands... Yuck.)
- Homeworld Gems
- Gem Work
- Slugs (It's a moving stick that's sticky and disgusting. No thank you.)
Fears
She fears that the Homeworld comes back for her, and the human race being wiped out.
Weapon: Fishing Rod // Despite this unorthodox weapon she is proficient in using it. The fishing line stops at about 10 feet, therefore it can be used to trap smaller gems but anything bigger than Garnet would probably be able to break free from the line. She uses it more as a whip of sorts, hooking things in and then wrapping the rope around the target. Nevertheless, she hardly ever uses it for combat due to her bystander-like personality and instead for fishing, a skill that she had learned from watching the locals.
ABILITIES
Light Feet: She can walk up walls, ceilings, odd surfaces (such as shields and trees) and even on still water. However, if there is a big disruption in the surface (e.g large waves in water, shaking earth) she would fall straight to the ground. She uses it mainly for her own personal gain, like getting in the hard places when cleaning or getting around quicker.
Personality Split: This ability looks inside of Ametrine's subconscious, breaking and separating her form apart into defining parts of her personality. When she wants all of them to appear, she projects them through her gem. This is a new ability to her, and as such they will occasionally appear out of nowhere. Since they are an extension of herself, she can not fuse with them, but they can fuse with eachother. There are four to her that are known to her currently, however there are many possibilities of gems. These forms are Lazy, Curiosity, Smarty, and Scaredy. Normally she will only bring out two at a time but she will not be able to control which two, the situation she is in will dictate which two are taken out. If the situation really calls for it, she is able to take out all four. They disappear when their purpose has been completed. When the gems come back to her, the knowledge that they have learned will be given to Ametrine. For example, if she needed to go to the library to find information she will take out Smarty and Curiosity to help find the information. Once they have found all the information they need, they will come back to Ametrine with the found information. There are a variety of different purposes depending on the form.
Smarty is the logical side of Ametrine's personality. She's driven by knowledge based self-improvement. She is charismatic and the most aware out of all the forms, and strives for the best scenario. Smarty can get extremely stressed if things go wrong. Smarty has a teacher/student relationship with Ametrine. Her fighting style is calculated and accurate, however she only fights as a last resort. She's the projection that appears the most, since she is the personality that Ametrine is most proud of.
Curiosity is the curious side of Ametrine's personality. She's driven by adventure based self-improvement. She will search for questions, and will believe anything that she is told. She usually is along side Smarty, and often makes clumsy mistakes and gets distracted rather easy. She is ditzy, yet full of optimism and cheers for all the other personalities when they are out with her. Ametrine has a very friendly relationship with Curiosity. Her fighting style is spontaneous and constantly changing depending on her surroundings and knowledge. She is the form that appears the second most.
Lazy is the... Well, lazy side of Ametrine. She is driven by pleasure based self-improvement. She cares about making the most out of life with the least amount of effort possible. She's carefree and fearless. She makes little effort, but when she does make the effort it is usually very rushed and inaccurate, but it is usually done within minutes. Lazy has a very casual friendship with Ametrine, and they often get in trouble together. She's ironically the best in combat when she's not sleeping or eating due to her reckless behavior. Her fighting style is reckless and based on impulse. She comes out the second least of all the projections.
Scaredy is the fearful side of Ametrine. Unlike all the other gems stated, she is not driven by self-improvement, but instead by self doubt. She is the nervous side of Ametrine that Ametrine dislikes and resents. Scaredy is extremely nervous, anxious and fears most things that she has little understanding of. Scaredy reminds Ametrine that she will disappear if she lets go of fear, however Ametrine has been unable to do this. ((SEE CHARACTER ARCS)). Her fighting style is careful and defensive. Because of Ametrine's disliking of Scaredy, she comes out the least of all the gems.
Fusions: None as of yet.
History: Originally living on Homeworld, she was a freeloader who hardly did her job and when she did she often made silly mistakes. She was often seen as a mistake and defective. Despite all of this, she kept her allegiance to the Diamond Authority, not knowing anything else to believe in. After one particular incident that caused a mission failure, Ametrine was to be shattered due to reckless endangerment of others. To avoid getting shattered, she ran away to Earth to be sheltered by a human family who took care of her in a human civilization. The more she spent there, the more she learned about the humans and the similarities between the two. Originally having a low opinion on the Earth, her opinion changed tremendously after being housed for a while. A few weeks after being housed, Ametrine discovered that the space warps were destroyed by the Crystal Gems, and eventually found out about the plans of Homeworld to destroy the human race.
After finding out about the plans of the Homeworld Gems, she had lost all of the trust she had for the Diamond Authority, and gave that trust to Rose Quartz and the Crystal Gems who will protect the Earth. With this, her allegiance to the Homeworld has ended, and was handed over. As part of her "calling" to the human race, she decided to live as a human and get somewhat serious about her life on Earth. She believes that part of being human is being with other humans and learning about what they do. She returned to the human civilization and told her host family that she wanted to live her life as a human.
