Melody nodded in agreement. "I agree. This is a very nice place, but at the same time..I feel that it's sometimes necessary to go out and explore other areas around the world." She sighed and looked out at the ocean, nodding again and giggling. "I've been to the skyscraper before. Morion certainly has a very nice place for him to stay. And trust me, he wouldn't mind me visiting. He seems to consider me to be a bit of a...siren of sorts. I think that's what he called me." She shrugged and patted his back "He's a nice gem, but just remember that you can ask what you want to around him. He always has an answer in some form or fashion"

"Well... he really love lecturing... he is always lecturing me about something, or even worse, testing me... I am one hundred percent sure, that even this trip here was some kind of tests... either of my diplomatic skills... or perhaps just to learn of how I will interact with unknown gem... or something... I am quickly growing tired of his tests... but he is just convinced that I am his apprentice... but he took me in, and is helping me, that is nice and I do appreciate it a lot..."
He said. Even though it was a little tiring he meant well, probably. "Siren? That sounds a little like insult to me... weren't sirens eating people in that long Greek poem?"
He asked. He remembered they were singing, and apparently that well it had hypnotising effect... them came the eating part...
"Eh...kind of." Melody shrugged, she was well aware of what Chip was talking about. "I think he meant more the part about them being beautiful, having good voices, that sort of thing." She giggled and sighed "He tends to get a bit attached with certain individuals in my opinion. As for the part about him lecturing you and being an apprentice and that sort of thing, you have to realize that he has not exactly had too much company that could stay there over the years. Didn't he tell you what his job is? His job is mainly infiltrating, acting as a spy, stuff like that." She shrugged again, not sure what else to say "that could be one reason why he's like that"

"Yeah, he told me as soon as he decided he won't eat me... when we met he saved me from a gem monster... and he was transformed into a giant shadowcat... and thought I was a human child... then he tried to recruit me as his minion... he has funny sense for diplomacy. Something like "Hey kid, I'm an assassin and infiltrator, I murdered across the galaxy, wonna join me?" or something around those lines..."
He laughed. It wasn't actually that funny, more terrifying then anything, but it was long enough to make jokes from it.
"It's weird... when I was running from Gems I didn't really expect I will one day live with an expert assassin... I guess live has funny sense of humour. And now I'm no longer running and I'm finding friends among gems, which is great."
It was nice to know, that some loyal gems are kinda nice.
Melody nodded and rolled her eyes "I could see Morion doing that. He has a strange way of operating sometimes. From what I can tell, he enjoys being in feline forms a lot and I can see why. It's fitting with his whole assassin thing." She smiled and giggled a little "That's good. I'm glad that you feel at least a little more safe than you had been. Morion might not always seem like it, but once he cares about you, he'll tend to do anything he can to make sure that you don't get hurt. That's the best thing about him in my opinion. If nothing else, you have me and him as dependable allies I suppose. Better than nothing, right?"
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Oct 12, 2016 4:45:55 GMT
"Well I usually love cats, cats are awesome. So cute, soft and independent. I think cats are by far the best thing on this planet... well... cats and cookies. But when the cat is huge, dark as the night and loudly think about eating you... well that's far less cute... to the point of terrifying."
He suddenly burst into loud laughter, because he imagined Morion turning into normal house cat. In his mind this cat was normal cute one, but had this giant gem... and was looking at you with this "I'm going to brutally murder you" look. Buy a Morion cat, you will never feel safe again. Well that could be a great slogan.
"Yeah, you're right. Having two allies is far better then having none... and even better is having friends."
Melody couldn't help but laugh with Chip. The way that he had done the cat comparison admittedly was pretty hilarious. She smiled and nodded "I completely agree. Friends are always good to have." The Chrysocolla didn't know what the plan was that Morion had for the Fire Opal, but the fact that he had taken him on as an apprentice was still interesting. "So, what are you going to tell Morion when you get back? I'm just curious because you know that he's going to ask how the whole trip went." She still had the discs close by but at this point she could care less. Right now, all that mattered to her was helping Chip out any way she could
Melody nodded and smiled "That sounds like a good idea. I doubt you're going to start any wars anyway. It takes more than just one gem...erm...let me rephrase that, you don't seem like the type of gem that would be able to start a way...if the Peridots were chasing you, that's only because of their programming." She shrugged "But thank you. The fact that you'll tell Morion the truth does mean a lot to me. Treat him nicely, okay? I don't want him to get hurt if possible." She sighed again, looking out at the ocean "I do hope that he can make sure he's okay...he's not always the best in shape sometimes." Melody didn't clarify her comments..

"Well I think mister Morion doesn't look like someone, who gets hurt easily... actually he appears very strong. But even though we disagree on some... minor details I think we have no problems... but if it makes you feel better I will do what I can."
He promised. Chip didn't believe in the perfection of the Diamonds, he wasn't going to become a soldier in this war, but despite their differences he still held Morion in high esteem. And he didn't want to hurt him in any way.
"I didn't notice anything wrong with him... but I know him only for a short time... so I don't really know what is normal for him... though i think he is glad he has another gem with him... not only humans..."
"That's true, he's very strong. And he tends to disagree with everyone on some subject Chip, you're not the first gem." She smiled up at him to try to comfort him "Normal for Morion is..well, to be honest I'm not sure what to answer. I haven't talked to him as much myself. The only experiences I've had are staying in his house, which contact can vary if you can't tell, meeting him in a bar and going on somewhat of a..romantic experience? I dunno, but he was trying to comfort me as best he knew" Melody blushed heavily and smiled up at the Fire Opal "He's a nice gem on the inside, if nothing else. I think that's the saying the humans use.."
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Oct 13, 2016 17:37:21 GMT
"I suppose... but I haven't met anyone before, who would talk to me like that... I don't like disagreeing with him, but... he knows exactly what he's doing... and I don't. I know very little about Homeworld, the Diamonds, the war... everything... "
He admitted. He hated the Diamonds, because for so long he blamed them for his misfortune! Morion was blaming the rebels... and the bad decision making of one peridot... and he didn't know where was the truth... perhaps the Diamonds were perfect, but he wouldn't find out, before the Diamonds came back.
"Yeah, I think I'm lucky to meet him... I should probably work on being better apprentice to him. And try to argue less... "
He said. After all, Morion took him in... and was kind to him.
"Fair enough..." Melody nodded and sighed "You do deserve to know all of the facts but I don't know what to suggest. Personally, if you end up joining the rebels, or going the independent route like so many gems do, I won't mind. Morion just tends to be the way he is because he gets very, very attached to his Diamonds...and Opalite...who's for White Diamond.." She sighed and shook her head "I'm still a bit more attached to Homeworld, don't get me wrong. But I'm not as...attached as he is. The Diamonds never really talked to me too much during my time here on Earth...I just..sung here a lot..." Melody clearly looked a bit crestfallen as she thought things over
Post by Chip the Fire Opal on Oct 14, 2016 17:43:45 GMT
Chip's face got completely serious for a moment.
"If I ever joined the rebels I am pretty sure Morion would hunt me down and I would be lucky if I get bubbled instead of shattered... though he would probably use me as a power source for some of his projects... I think he knows that I don't like the diamonds... I don't care about them at all, I don't believe in their perfection... and I think he don't like that much... I think he tolerates it only because he believes that once the Diamonds come to save us I will learn of their brilliance and instantly fall in line... well I wouldn't hold my breath being him..."
He was completely honest. It probably wasn't wise to tell, but he hated deception...
"i can't guarantee what he would do to be honest." Melody sighed "Just...just be careful, okay? I don't want myself to be the reason that Morion possibly harms you, or something along the lines of that." She meant it, she did not want to be the reason a gem was punished on her account and based off of something that she had said. "He might be willing to work with the rebels if there was a circumstance that caused him to do so. That's the impression I got at least. Bloodstone would play a very key part, he and Morion have a bit of a...connection. It seems like Morion will only calm down whenever the gem is around, maybe. I'm not sure"

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
