Chyrsocolla sighed and shook her head "No, no...I don't think I was exiled. Whenever I tried contacting Lady Blue Diamond, the communication seemed to glitch out. Perhaps the Spire's items were going out of function, I have no idea." She nodded and looked nervous "I-I'm sorry Mistress I just..I was alone on the Spire for so long, the other gems that used to be here all went their separate ways to try and get some help. I had stayed here and tried to keep guard but the Spire just kept...falling apart..." Melody sighed and sat down on one of the pillars "I'm trying to pull myself together but it's just...hard to when you're only one gem"
"you dont think? You know a Gem usually knows when she is exiled... that is not something that happening behind her back"
The statue like Gem watched the other silently
"Several times you used the expression "so long". While the whole conflict started around four solar cycle ago, before that every communication and travelling was possible. Either you are lying, or you are horrible when it comes to time sense"
Jade walked... well, moved to the warp pad, without any movement Her bag travelled with her^^
"And I hardly call this place a prison, when you have a working Warp Pad..."
The Lady turned - agin with her whole body, not just the head - to Chyrsocolla
"The Gems all went to their separate ways and never came back. Disturbing. And you stayed here, waiting... I see... without any visitors? "
"I...apologize, I feel like my sense of time was a bit altered here, considering the Spire was where I was at for my duration of time here on Earth" Chrysocolla started blushing again, realizing how much of an idiot she was sounding like "And yes, I understand the situation about the Warp Pad, I think it was more I just...was too nervous to figure out where to go. I don't know why, I just remember being fearful during those solar cycles when everything started going crazy." She looked up at Jade, trying to maintain her composure "If there were any visitors, they came when I finally worked up the courage to go seek out others from the Spire. But none while I waited, no"
Again, that dreaed, awful little word... A thousand question within a little question
"You are an entertainer, you were a presece of a noble before, am I right? I highly doubt you played to Rubies or Pearls... you are a delicate Gem, your place is in a Court. But I heard about those Batllefield "bards"..."
The green lady slowly truned, without moving, to the warp pad
"We should check the Warp Pad's logs..."
She murmured It was a little bluff, nothing serious; she had no idea how to check it, or if it was even possible... after all, she was a noble Gem, not a lowly technician Peridot^^ ...but Lady Jade was curious She was curious what would Chyrsocolla react or do, or say to such a possibility^^
Melody's eyes widened in surprise. She honestly couldn't remember who all had used the warp pad "W-wait, do we really have to do that?" It hadn't occurred to the Chyrsocolla at all that the task that Lady Jade mentioned was technically impossible, since neither gem had a real idea of how to do it. "Please Mistress, I didn't mean to be such a bad gem. I just..maybe it was being alone that messed with me but I just couldn't handle everything by myself." Chrysocolla started freaking out mentally, clearly getting stressed out and nervous. What if this was it for her? She didn't wanna get punished back on Homeworld or...gods all of the possibilities of torture and stuff like that
"You are not a bad Gem... or at least I hope you are not one!"
She turned back to Melody The Bard's reaction was... interesting ...tho' she expected something like that It was clear to her, Melody wasn't the most fanatically loyal
"It is obvious, you are hiding something. You are nervous. I guess, you are afraid, what will the Diamonds and the Gems loyal to our Empire do with you, when they find out, you are secretly admire the Rebles... am I right? Tho' you are not a Rebel, you could understand their reasons..."
Melody practically whimpered as she looked up at Lady Jade. She nodded and sighed "Yeah...I do have a tiny bit amount of respect for the Rebels. I mean, I can understand why they'd do what they're doing." The Chyrsocolla looked up at her "I just don't know what to do in this. I'm afraid for my safety either way. The Rebels and Homeworld both technically have reasons to punish me, depending on how drastic their leaders are. I just...don't want to be shattered." Melody clung to the taller gem, still nervous but not as bad as it had been. In fact she felt a bit calmer now despite everything that had just gone on "My apologies if I'm overreacting in your opinion"
"You are afraid... understandable. But I am curious, do you not belive in the Diamonds wisdom? The infallibility of Her Majesty, Blue Diamond...? Your Diamond? "
But what Melody said was true and Jade was well aware of that; the Bard was in mortal danger... actually every Gem was in mortal danger on Earth thanks to the Crystal Gems recklessness and thoughtlessness...
"What have you done Facet-3T9S Cut-2QH Chyrsocolla? Why the Crystal Gems would want to shatter you? Not supporting their movement is enough reason to be afraid? You are loyal to your Diamond, your Home... so in their eyes, you are a Gem who needs to be shattered without mercy? Or they have a particular reason to hunt you? "
"I don't know why they would want to shatter me...I have not participated in as much combat as other gems.So I don't think that they would have as much reason to shatter me as other gems." Melody sighed "But while I might be a combat bard, I can still only do so much in battle. I'm worried about what might happen if I'm forced to work alone." She looked up at Lady Jade "I'm nervous Mistress...I haven't felt this way in awhile but I never really put things into perspective until you mentioned it. Now I'm scared." The Chrysocolla was still slightly nervous but calm at the same time, like she knew she would have had to deal with this
"..you were alone, yet, you know how many battles other Gems saw on Earth?"
The statue like Gem not smiled Actually she rearly smiled... She could have been a Sapphire, but her element was the earth and stone, the rocks and such things... not the Ice. But a stone usually was as warm and cheerful as a block of ice^^ But this time Jade almost smiled... Chyrsocolla's plight was a bit entertaining Jade wasn't a cruel Gem, but had her hobbies Finally her good heart made her stop
"You are not alone anymore "Melody"... But your fears are justified. We will be careful. Anyhow, although I am in the Court of Pink Diamond, I like to keep an eye on other courts, and I never heard about a Chyrsocolla who was exiled from Blue Diamond's court or from our Empire"
Melody sighed as she shrugged "Enough, probably...I haven't been in a battle in ages. There's so many gems that have probably gotten more experience than me...." Chyrsocolla looked up at Lady Jade and wasn't sure what to say "That's good...I'm glad that I'm definitely not exiled. I think I just got stuck in the wrong circumstances or...lost courage whenever I was all alone. I apologize for acting so foolish when you first came." She smiled and moved away a little but more out of courtesy than anything else "I promise I'll do my best to be careful. I've managed to make it on the Spire this long anyway..I don't see how I can't make it on this planet more solar cycles"
Not much to begin with... a battlefield bard and a ruined spire in not the best shape But could have been worse
"You were alone all these solar cycles? And stayed here? Or you were brave enough to wander away...? Any Gems you know personally for example...? And what about their alligances?"
Lady Jade was aware, this was a big step, but sadly she didn't had the luxury of time Her question was full of traps and pitfalls... but her intentions were noble, not to scare or torture the other little Gem with her questions
"Well...no I did wander away at some point." Chrysocolla blushed "I um..met a Smoky Quartz, Morion. He's very much with Homeworld, was actually nice enough to provide me with a place of residence. in an area called Empire City. It's impressive how he's been able to be with the humans and actually get a good following." She smiled "Other than that, I haven't met too many gems. I've wandered around though, playing in towns, and the humans honestly really appreciate any good music. Obviously my music is some of the best around~" Melody giggled, even bards like her had to keep up a sense of decency and importance "Most of the gems i've met are either Homeworld or simply independent"
The green Lady asked politely and slowly truned, without moving to Melody
"Do you honestly belive Facet-3T9S Cut-2QH Chyrsocolla, such thing exist?"
She was curious, like a statue Jade stood there, looking down the blue Bard This was a serious question from her tho' The answer to it could have been life altering... well, for Melody^^ The noble Gem pondered a bit, waiting for the answer... a second rebelious group was a problem If they really existed, naturally... Jade had plans when she arrived to the third planet of the Sol System, and she wasn't the big plan of sudden changes or unepxpected surprises But a second rebelious group? That was a nasty and unexpected surprise Jade knew she will solve this problem... but now listened to the nervous little Bard
"I...don't know. I mean I think the group he has is something that he prefers to use for his own protection. The Smoky Quartz is a highly respectable gem form Homeworld, and I believe he is using the humans to simply gain information without risking his personal health. But if the group is something bad, then I have no clue Lady Jade. I'm not sure if that's the purpose the group is for or not" The Chyrsocolla shrugged, legitimately not sure. She never had considered that Morion had made the group to be a rebel against Homeworld, but it was a very possible thing. After all, why else would he keep all those soldiers around? They'd have to do a fight at some point..

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
