Empire City! The place that never sleeps (something that didn't seem all too unique to most gems not grown on Earth). The whole place was overwhelming, full of lights and attractions everywhere! Even most gems had to admit this city was a fantastic place, so alien to anything Gemkind had built. The size was nothing outstanding (nothing close to the planet-spanning colonies made elsewhere) but the sheer density was amazing! To think so many human beings lived within a small confinement, and with bountiful resources and entertainment no further than a few blocks away on most streets, was truly awe inspiring.
As with many others, humans and gems alike, a tall fusion had made her way to this fabled city. In truth, part of her was greatly against traveling to such a populated place, but eventually decided that perhaps she had deserved some 'time off' from her work. After all, she had effectively changed jobs three times within the last couple months. It was dizzying to say the least.
So now here she was, sporting a new addition to her form. In fact the hat she wore was not a part of her projection, but one of those odd human-made pieces of clothing. Perhaps it was just a novelty, but the small red top hat that sat at an angle on her head had grown on her.
The rather tall fusion was obviously not of this earth, though she did her best to ignore the side glances she gained from passersby. She made her way down one of the many busy streets of the city, marveling at the glowing lights around her. Beach City was absolutely nothing compared to this place. She had no idea what there was to actually do here, but she was sure she'd stumble across something. And so she continued down the street, turning corners and inspecting whatever happened to catch her eye.
