Is this what Ronaldo feels like?
Anyways, this topic was created to detail a little thing that's been ringing in my head for a bit;
This site is a nexus in the multiverse.
Now, now, hear me out. I think I'm going somewhere with this.
For starters, this site in and of itself is an alternate reality, a parallel dimension. One where the gem war is happening now and not 1,000 years ago.
That being said, none of the structures or landmarks that we hold so dear to our hearts (like Rose's healing fountain) should exist yet: they were all constructed during or after the canonical schism that was Rose Quartz. For example, the giant statue on the cliff face of Beach City? That shouldn't be there if Homeworld is just starting to make it's mark on the world. The fountain shouldn't exist as Rose hasn't been to Earth yet. She's still on Homeworld with Pearl and Garnet. The same thing goes with the Kindergartens; they wouldn't be here if Homeworld is just now trying to colonize the earth. All gem interference would be gone- zip! But that isn't what happened. We still have all the post-war landmarks and locations, but no war for them to be built after.
The gems of this site also have something unique about them: their histories and descriptions of how Homeworld works. In some applications, a lowly engineer is able to be in the same room as a Diamond. In others, there are mercenary detachments (which wouldn't exist within the canonical matriarchal system). The point is that rarely do all of the applications have a coherent grasp on how Homeworld works. They also differ on Homeworld's relation with Earth. Some say that earth is a new prospect, whilst others establish that gems have had a presence on Earth since the ice age, and possibly before that. The only thing they all have in common is that they all haven't participated in a war for Earth yet, which is distracting them all from worrying about the minute differences in realities. My theory is that this universe pulls in fragments of other realities, much like a whirlpool.
I do hope I'm making at least some sense. Please, do ask questions if you have trouble understanding anything.
