The quartz soldiers hopped out of the roaming eye, onto the hijacked ship. Among them was Chalcedony, a blue quartz, Amethyst, who had long twin pigtails and a purple toned skin, and the knight, Alabaster. Alabaster wasn't used to common missions of this sort, she was one of white diamond's elites. When the diamonds wanted to end a skirmish quickly they dispatched a knight, for some reason they didn't send her alone. She was glad to be with Chalcedony and Amethyst though, they were friends of hers. Chalcedony used a flail, Amethyst used two whips, and Alabaster used a large white hammer. As they walked down the hall they could heard the sounds of some gems running through the ship to repel them. They reached a wide hallway of the ship, someone was waiting for them. It was Olive peridot, the ship's pilot.
"Enjoying your tour of the ship I assume." Olive spat. "It's so common of soldiers to blindly obey orders. You don't question anything, even if it's wrong, you just act. I used to believe that you were just so scared of being outlawed but your performances on the battlefield doesn't point to you being cowards... I suppose that the reason you behave like this is just because you are incapable of thinking for yourselves. You strengthen the influence of someone who you do not agree with, that is unethical. Those who disturb balance in the universe shouldn't deserve to exist."
"That's a good speech, how long did it take for you to prepare it? Alabaster said, hefting her hammer into her hands. Olive gave a condescending look.
"Guards! Repel them! Now!" Olive ordered, fleeing down the hall. Almost the second the words left her lips five Onyx soldiers rushed into the room. They were also rebels who had assisted Olive in the capture of the homeworld ship. Chalcedony and Amethyst looked excited to get action.
"You two, go after Olive, I`ll deal with the soldiers." Alabaster commanded, locking her eyes on the approaching Soldiers.
"Got it Al!" Amethyst said, smiling and giving a thumbs-up. Chalcedony and Amethyst rushed down the hall, eagerly pursuing their target. Suddenly an object darted around the corner, hitting Chalcedony hard in the chest. She flung back so hard that she hit the far wall. "CHAL!"
The object was a male-looking gem. he had green hair and a neon-green skin tone. In his hands he carried two green swords. He wore the blue diamond uniform, but they weren't fooled, he was one of the rebels as well. He was a rare type of gem, a Sulfur. Most of the Sulfur gems, who specified in strategic analysis had been destroyed to produce more effective gems. It made sense why this gem was rebelling., but it was surprising at how much power he had used to thrust Chalcedony across the room. He scowled at Amethyst.
"The diamonds really don't let things go do they?" He hissed. Amethyst swung her whip in retaliation. Sulfur's expression didn't change as he grabbed the whip in his hand. He hopped into the air and levitated, quickly hurling Amethyst into the wall of the hallway. The wall cracked and dented a bit from the pressure. He quickly closed in swinging one of his blades at her chest, where her gem lied. She poofed, producing a small puff of smoke. He bent down and picked up her gem examining it.
"LET HER GO YOU MONSTER!" Chalcedony shouted, charging at him, twirling her flail. Sulfur dropped from the air, ducking under the weapon. He spun on his knees tripping her with his leg. As she fell he swung both blades at her. With surprising reflexes she blocked with her arm, flinching at the pain. To gain distance Sulfur kicked her backward with his free leg. She only moved about five feet. Sulfur stood and popped his neck. He then harshly smashed Amethyst's gem against the wall, gritting his teeth. He had swung it so hard that he had injured his own hand. The Gem splintered into pieces. Chalcedony roared in agony and started rolling toward him, becoming a ball of energy, a common Quartz ability. Sulfur casually stepped out of the way, taking advantage of Chalcedony's poor ability to change direction when moving that quickly. She came out of the formation and jumped high into the air. She swung her flail down at him. Suddenly, five floating, green blades jutted into her torso from underneath her. Sulfur was raising his hand, he raised his hand higher and the blades sank deeper into her chest.
"Why...why do you fight? Don't you know that all things that begin will end in a similar way? For all of us it is only a matter of time before we are shattered..." Sulfur's tone was so soft and calm that it sent chills down Chalcedony's spine. She grunted in pain as her body began to glow. A cloud of smoke appeared in the air and Sulfur shot out his hand to catch the gem. He desummoned his blades and looked at his trophy.

Alabaster skillfully ducked around the attacks of the Onxy soldiers, occasionally hurling her hammer at them. Her blows were so powerful that she could poof one of them in one blow. It was only a few minutes before all of them were poofed. She exhaled exhaustedly as she finished. She then noticed that her cohorts had not yet returned. She moved swiftly down the hall looking for any sign of them. Her breath was caught in her throat as she turned the next corner. Sulfur let the shards of Chalcedony's gem freely fall from his hand, between his fingers. He turned to Alabaster and his eyes widened, he had heard of her before.
"heh...I thought the diamonds were underestimating me. It seems that they prepared accordingly. No matter, I will have fun making you scream!" He shouted maniacally.
A shadow covered Alabaster's face. Her lips quivered as she looked at the remains of her friends. She charged at Sulfur wildly with her hammer held above her head. Sulfur smirked and summoned many blades floating in the air near her. With flicks of his wrist he shot them toward her. She then began to duck and roll side to side, evading many of the blades. Eventually, one blade stabbed through her torso, she dropped to her knees.
"Well...I suppose that's it then."
Alabaster suddenly stood and continued charging toward him, ignoring the blade in her chest. Sulfur's eyes widened with frustration as he fired more of his weapons toward her. She dodged even more skillfully, kicking off of the walls for speed. Another blade hit her chest but she kept running. Eventually the pain became too intense, as her movements slowed several blades pieced her, but she didn't stop moving. She moved only about a meter in front of Sulfur before it was too much, she dropped her hammer in agony and fell to her knees.
"You fail to disappoint me Alabaster, but we're through now." Alabaster screamed hysterically as she grabbed her hammer. She swung upward, hitting Sulfur square in the face. He fell out of the air and staggered backward. he crossed the blades in his hands to protect himself. She rained down blows furiously on his blades without giving him a chance to recuperate. Eventually he could take no more and his formation was lost. She swung with all of her strength to deal one final blow on his torso. He hit the far wall of the ship. Alabaster ignored him, running straight into the control room.
Olive quickly jabbed with her gem destabilizer but Alabaster ripped it from her hands with her hammer. With a backhanded swing she poofed Olive and dashed to the controls. She didn't want to risk falling to Sulfur and allowing him to use the ship, she knew what she had to do. Her only choice was to destroy the ship along with all of it's passengers.
"I can't let this go on..." Alabaster mumbled. "Chal...Amethyst... I'm sorry..." She shoved the main accelerator, propelling the ship downward. As it soared downward she sat down on the floor, breathing heavily. She braced for impact as her vision became foggy.
