The world is full of doors, open, closed, or locked Meant to be an entrance, a wooden frame that's knocked But among the doors is evil, a killer filled with rage Who kicks them to the ground, as if he was on stage He doesn't pause to think, of consequence or reason Turning on the entrance, engulfed by angry treason Why does he hate the doors, the world has not a clue Rarely has this hate been seen, within a chosen few But one can tell from all that hate that one emits the most The gate murdering psychopath, the one who they call toast But when the doors are broken, not a single left to see He'll be trapped within a single room, no one to hear his plea

All was calm in the chatroom, and the denizens of SURP stirred about lazily, their eyes glossed over and their throats red from only being able to shout at each other - for each member was trapped in their own seperate room, an impenetrable prison sealed with doors of oak and the ancient magics of the Red Admin. For the Red Admin had usurped King Nicholas the 97th, and imprisoned his loyal subjects so that they might never be within comfortable talking distance - a horrible punishment indeed for a kingdom based on storytelling. And so, although the king's subjects raged against their captivity for years, the fire in their souls had slowly, but surely, been doused. The Red Admin had triumphed, but his greed was too great; He longed for his ill-begotten domain to expand, and so had ensured his demise. For, in the outlying estates lay one of King Nicholas's most cunning nobles- a young lad by the name of Toast. For years, he had watched the Red Admin pine for territory, and for years he had watched the land's greatest storytellers lay in anguish in his keep - the imposing Castle Authoritus.
Toast's father was an old man by the name of Phenakite, a wise elder who was slain during the Red Admin's rise to power. Before the orator had fallen, however, he had imbued Toast with a Spark of Creativity - immolating the boy's soul and stirring his war machine into motion those years ago. Now, it seemed, was the most opportune time to strike: the Red Admin had let down his guard amidst his greed. And so, the young noble set out from the estate, gathering all of his serfs and forming the start of a revolutionary army. Many moons would pass before he could dethrone the Red Admin and restore SURP to it's former glory...
July 25th, 2015. The time had come.
The Castle's drawbridge shattered, enchanted splinters flying everywhere as Toast struck down the oaken barrier - the first of many. As the young noble's revolutionaries engaged with the Red Admin's evil enforcers in the courtyard, Toast snuck past the chaos and came across his first door. Behind it was a fair maiden, whose voice had refused to die down over the long years. A swift roundhouse kick was all that was needed to undo years of censorship and oppression, and the woman sprang out of the cell like a rabbit. Her name was Carbide, and she was the first of many to come. They made their way down the hallway, Carbide swatting the Admin’s red army aside as if they were flies. Another door was within sight, and again did Toast strike it down – this time freeing Variscite. The trio continued on their rampant rush of freedom, Toast releasing Agate, Musgravite, and Zircon in the process. For days they besieged the keep, gradually freeing the storytellers from the Red Admin’s corrupting grasp. Their voices, no longer parched, serenading the countryside with velvety lyrics, the words writing themselves into the air. And, as the Red Admin’s castle burned, the great land that was SURP began to heal.
The days dragged on and still Toast fought through it all, desperate to continue on until the doors were broken and the storytellers freed. But it had become apparent the Red Admin was not alone, for he had help in gaining the throne. But who? Who would betray the admirable King Nicholas? Shaking his head to rid himself of these thoughts, Toast sighed. The young noble had no time for those mental endeavors amidst the Great Siege. Eventually, Toast came upon an extremely large door. He kicked it, but to no avail. He heard a familiar voice weakly ring out from behind – the Australian tone of the King! Roused by this new information, the young noble yelled out and forced all of his emotions into a single, swift kick – completely vaporizing the door and cracking the nearby stone. Helping the Aussie up, Toast motioned for Agate and Carbide to get the King to a safer place as he delved deeper into the belly of the beast. It was here, in this cavernous space, that Toast’s skills would be tested the most. It took a few minutes for the boy’s eyes to adjust to the darkness, and he realized he was not in some abnormally large wine cellar; He was, in fact, in the Red Admin’s throne room. Torches lit up with a dramatic and cinematic flair as the Big Bad himself was revealed, lazily perched on the throne. And, to his flank, was the traitor - Obsidian. The seductive enchantress had sold out her friends for the allure of power, and Toast could feel the anger boiling in his veins. The cruel mistress laughed as the Red Admin rose up, charging the small figure with a rather large hammer. Giving into the Dark Side, the young noble felled the usurper with a rather firm boot the face, his wicked mantle soaring through the air and into a nearby chandelier. “Yes, yes, let the hate flow through you.” Crowed Obsidian. “You have proven yourself worthy. Now join me, or die.”
Toast inhaled slowly, before letting out a deafening war cry and kneeing the yellow-bellied storyteller, sending her careening off into the distance like a bootleg firework.
With the oppressors defeated and the rightful King reinstated, Toast was granted several very large fiefdoms, and crowned High Overlord of the Council of Toast. (the food, not the noble.) Nowadays, the young man spends his time striking down the Red Admin’s barriers wherever he can, and pummeling Obsidian whenever she shows her smug visage.
And then this shmuck just goes and shits all over the bloody conflict. Ice had better watch his mouth, or he might be mistaken for a door one day.
All the lights dimmed to show Lazuli, dressed in a slam poet's outfit. She was perched atop a chair, her beret the best in the land. With one flawless snap, everyone was now in a coffee shop. With another, her art began.
Doors and Windows. Doors and Windows. Do we know where they win-go? Do we even know?
Nay. Not a soul in this room recognizes all the lost life today. Smashed windows and splintered doors, Scattered wood and glass across the floors.
But did Ice even give it a thought. Of the damage he'd wrought. No. He did not.
Then, after the coffeehouse patrons had snapped an applause, Lazuli rose from her stool and began to approach Ice, many a patron following her, all of them snapping in unison.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
