Alright, it was officially time to cut her losses and run. Para waited until the last second to act, talking and keeping him distracted while he neared her, "You are more twisted than I initially imagined, to go so far as accept your own terrible fate and still go on shattering innocents... You deserve a far worse fate, just you wait until you get what is owed to you!" As Sulfur was just within striking range Para leaped up with her device in hand. She threw a punch with her right hand as more of a distraction than anything, in her left hand she moved to slap the device onto Sulfur's form. The weapon itself was a flat disk of sorts, about two inches thick, that clamped onto whatever surface it made contact with once primed. If it struck it would release a powerful shock, able to temporarily disable a gem for no longer than a few seconds. It wasn't much, but it could give a gem like herself a chance to run at least. She was good as shattered in a one on one...
A sword from his circle moved to block the punch. Unless Para had some sort of ability the punch would have been quite painful. While the punch was of little use, it did create an opening in the circle. As the electric device came toward him Sulfur's eyes widened. He swung one of the blades in his hands quickly. He was shocked for a short time but his blade came down onto the tool. It severed the tazer in half.
While the shock was brief Sulfur's physical form had clearly taken damage. Sulfur's eyes widened in rage. His circle opened and moved around Para. The swords surrounded her from all sides and pointed toward her. They darted inward, if she could not dodge this she would be impaled.

It took just about all her strength for Para not to scream out in pain as her hand connected with the sword's deflection. She was thankful at least that she was simply deflected and didn't have an unwanted sword jutting out of her arm. But the punch served its purpose, and the device thankfully connected albeit only for a moment. Before she even knew if it had taken affect Para was already dashing past Sulfur to the nearby warp pad. It couldn't be any farther than a couple hundred feet or so, but that terrain was all uphill on a frighteningly narrow pathway. By the time Sulfur likely recovered Para was soon to be almost out of range of his floating swords (not that she knew that).
Seeing as they were about to surround her Para dropped to a power-slide move of sorts in order to stay moving. She barely managed to duck out of the way of the blades, although it did slow her momentum greatly as she had to get back into position to keep sprinting away. While she didn't bother creating a weapon, as she wouldn't be able to use it long enough to warrant one, Para focused instead on running and thinking. According to her estimations, if she kept at full speed she could likely outrun the floating bladed terrors. Although that didn't exactly account for Sulfur's speed, a factor she would have to deal with as it arose. From this point on she didn't really have much of a plan, it was a run or die mission from this point on.
Sulfur had never been surprised so many times in a row. Para was clearly not a normal gem. Her speed seemed to be enough to outrun him if he focused on his several blades. If he were to catch her he would have to fight the old fashioned way. Sulfur dropped to the ground and crouched down. Pushing off of the floor with his feet he started to levitate. He picked up momentum as he flew. He desummoned all of his blades except for the two in his hands.
At the speed he was going, it would be seconds before he was upon Para. As he neared his target he lunged with his blades. As he swung his blades he crossed them, so that if Para were to attempt to turn she would be greeted by another blade.

Something wasn't right, did the blades stop chasing her? She barely had a second to think as Sulfur was on her, blades moments away from separating her in two distinct halves. Acting more on instinct than anything, Para threw herself to the ground so Sulfur lunged right over her. "You can float?!" This wasn't working, there was no way she could get away when he had that kind of mobility at his disposal. She rolled over and got to her feet, backing off from Sulfur trying to think of a plan before she became a shard-shishkabob. Without realizing it she reached the edge of the path, just barely stopping herself from tipping over and falling below. She glanced back and saw the pit before her, a nearly straight drop into a seemingly bottomless pit of rock. She wasn't so sure she could survive that fall...
Her eyes returned to Sulfur, "B-Back off! I... I... I'm warning you!" In a panic she began to craft a small bladed weapon in one hand and a shield in the other, though it would be another few moments before they finished.
Sulfur had surprised his opponent, a good sign. Sulfur was about to slice her in half when the gem dropped to the ground. Sulfur quickly put his feet down to stop himself. His feet dragged on the ground, quickly slowing him down, enabling a turn. Now the gem didn't seem to be attacking, they had most likely run out of options. Sulfur reasoned as he fought, it slowed him slightly, but he would make too many mistakes going berserk.
Sulfur approached her slowly, walking as slow as he could. If she were to back off too much she would fall down the cliff and he would lose his prey. If he advanced slowly, she would be less flighty. Once he was close enough his hand darted out and grabbed her shirt. He pulled her forward and darted behind her. He then hit her hard in the back with his knee. This would thrust her away from the cliff. Due to the force he used Sulfur estimated that it was enough to poof her but he didn't let his guard down.

Her sword and shield had finished materializing, both a very basic design considering her time restraint but were certainly usable. The new pace that Sulfur took unnerved her, he was far too calm and collected about the situation. As well his reactions were much faster than hers, without the element of surprise Para found herself being heavily outmatched. Before she realized it Sulfur had grappled her and in a blur a sudden pain shot through her form. Her vision went white, all of her senses overloaded in an instant. It took all of her strength not to poof right then and there, falling prone onto her hands and knees gasping for air. She rolled onto her back and dropped her blade, gripping the shield in both hands trying to cover as much of herself as possible. It was clear she was defeated, defenseless and at Sulfur's mercy, "P...P...Please..."
Sulfur watched her for a moment. He knelt down beside her to examine her more closely.
"Interesting... No Crystal Gem has been able to elude me as long as you have... Also, you did not poof from this attack... " Sulfur said. His expression showed no emotion as he spoke but his voice seemed to show that he was impressed. "This was very... interesting... Padparascha."
Sulfur then stood. He took a few steps backward while watching her. He raised his hand in the air, summoning ten swords in the air around Para. They pointed toward her, and after another flick of his wrist they dug into her physical form. Catching her gem midair as she poofed Sulfur smiled.
"You will be useful to Smoky Quartz... that is for sure."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
