It was a beautiful night in Empire City, much like any other night. A gem wearing silver armor, made from titanium and crystal alloy much like what ships are normally made of. Moonstone walked into a hotel and ordered to live in a penthouse. He payed for it with the money he got by his mechanic job, which pays quite well. He left a message in the Crystal Temple saying to go to his new penthouse for a secret meeting. He sat down, waiting for the guests, while on a tablet playing Game of War. He did not get his ass kicked by TheLegend27 though as seen in the advertisements. He then played The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on a Wii that happened to come with the penthouse.
Upon hearing of a 'secret meeting' somewhere in Empire City, Titanite figured he'd give this a go, seeing as he hadn't been to any Crystal Gem meetings recently, if at all. He was taken aback as he entered the city, he was much more accustomed to the quite musings of birds and the sights of natural landscapes as opposed to the flashy lights and loud ambience of a place such as Empire City. However, he tried not to get too distracted and made his way to the place outlined in the message. He ascended the elevator within the hotel and made his way to the penthouse, gently opening the door and peeking in. As he glanced around he noticed what appeared to be a gem wearing a suit of armour, he took a couple of steps into the penthouse room and spoke.
"I-is this where the meeting is supposed to be?"
Titanite was not at all familiar with who this gem was, and as such his anxiety started to act up. He hoped it wouldn't last as long as it sometimes does.

It was an odd place to meet, that was for sure. After all she had heard rumors of major loyalist activity within this city, akin to that of Beach City and rebels. Still, she could hardly miss a meeting of the Crystal Gems being an important figure and all. The city was rather impressive though, for a human settlement, and the sights delighted Para to no end. She made a note to come back and explore when not on business, but for now she had to make haste to... wow that was a tall building. Standing outside the hotel Para took a moment to look up into the sky and at the top of the building, she had no idea humans could build structures that high. It was of course nothing new, gems could easily make such things, but for a primitive species it was impressive.
Sightseeing done she entered the lobby and awkwardly made her way up to the top, unsure of how any of these crude human transportation systems worked. The 'elevator' was especially confusing, she had assumed it was a limited teleporter that had a number of buttons for each location. Once it started moving, however, she nearly freaked out before realizing it was intended. By the time she reached the top Para had collected herself as if nothing had happened, walking ahead and towards the room noting the gem waiting outside, "I believe you had found the right place, excuse me." She squeezed past them and into the room, "It is a pleasure to see you again Moon." Para flashed him a cordial smile than made herself comfortable in a nearby chair.

He noticed the two Gems walk in without knocking, but he let that slide. He did take note of the sword skills that were used in the recent game he was playing on the Wii. He paused the game, then he put the controllers down near the television. He then took off his titansilver helm to let his long, shimmery, silver hair out and he fixed it since his helm sort of messed his hair up a bit.
"Greetings. It is a pleasure to see you again too, Para."
He smiled, then turned to the Titanite.
"Yes, you are indeed in the right place. Please, take a seat amd make yourself at home."
He allowed them to sit down in the seats.
"Okay, before th8s meeting starts, may I ask for you to get aquainted woth one another if you haven't already. Also, like Para said, I am Moonstone, but Moon is preferable. May I get you two a beverage?"
Titanite smiled a bit nervously as Moonstone reassured him that he was in the right place. He stepped over to one of the seats he had pointed out, and sat down in one next to Para, he was still a little nervous however and as such was a little fidgety with his hands. Upon hearing the offer of a beverage he nodded hastily.
"T-that'd be nice, thank you."
As he heard the suggestion of getting acquainted with the other gem in the room, he suddenly felt more anxious than he had before. He had always been terrible at being the first one to speak at social gatherings like this, however he knew he had to stop being such a wimp about it. This didn't make him anymore confident however, as he outstretched his hand towards Para, it could be seen that he was trembling just a little bit. Not too much, but it was visible.
"I-I'm Titanite, it's a p-pleasure to meet you."
This was nerve wracking for him. He knew these two had no hostilities towards him and he knew this anxiety would more than likely be gone shortly, but dear god this was torture. He simply sat there, trembling a little and fidgeting with his available hand as he waited for Para to shake his outstretched hand.

Although Para made herself at home, she did not exactly relax in her chair. The entire time she sat straight in her chair, seeming even a tad stilted yet graceful in her movements, although Moon would likely know that was simply how she was when not at work. She bowed her head towards Titanite, "A pleasure indeed, I am Padparadscha 'Master of the Forge'. But please refer to me as Para." She glanced down at his outstretched hand noticeably confused, so she simpy followed suit putting her hand adjacent to his. A bit of an awkward smile broke out before she addressed Moon, "So tell me, what is it we are here to discuss? And are we expecting more, or shall it just be us three?"
Variscite had made his way to the Temple, having been out of the loop for some time. Finding a message telling him about a location in Empire City... time for a trip.
By the fall of night he had made his way towards to building that was located as the meeting place... he wasn't gonna lie... there was a really got shot he would not know a single gem, also the odds it was a Homeworld trap. Only one way to find out, making his way up though the hotel to the floor that was labeled as the meeting. Opening the door and slowly stepping in, pulling his green hood down, reveling his almost human looking hue and the neon green hair that seemed buzzed up his sides.
"Uh... I'm hoping this is t-the right location for the Crystal Gems meeting?" he glanced around the room, this is all of course happing only if he wasn't attacked or something by entering the room. Not knowing a single gem that was in the room with him.

"Ah, greetings! I am Moonstone, the Silver Knight. I organized this meeting in such an uncommon place for Crystal Gem meetings. Now please take a seat and take some time to get aquainted with one another. And would you like a beverage? We have water, iced tea, lemon-lime soda, and root beer. Oh wait, I can get them out, help yourselves." He got a cooler with the listed beverages out and everything was labelled properly. "Okay, if this is all the attendants we have, then let this meeting begin. First off, we raise concerns of this viral illness that has plagued many gems, both Crystal and Homeworld alike. Now, they often exhibit hostile behavior, mainly because they are afraid. They are almost like wild animals. Now, to some of you, this is old news, but my opinion in this matter is to contain them and get the smartest Crystal Gems in the science field to study and conduct research. Before I get to the next crucial topic, do we have any questions or ideas?"
Titanite waved a little to Variscite as they walked in, as a means of reassuring them that this was indeed the right place. He sat and listened to the first topic of this meeting, and oddly enough it pertained to something he had recently had an encounter with, corruption and upon the request of any ideas or questions, he felt like sharing a theory he'd had about corruption, a potentially implausible one, but a theory nonetheless.
"Well, I've considered an idea about corruption that it might be somewhat tied to high amounts of negative emotions. Perhaps gems infected with it only turn into monsters if they lose control of their emotions?"
He sat back a little upon saying this, slightly worried that the other gems may ridicule him a little, but he wasn't too worried. These gems were his comrades, and as such he had at least some confidence that they may consider it, however far fetched it may be.

Para said very little to the newcomer, simply nodding her head and briefly saying, "Yes, now please enter and sit down. We are just starting." With that said she listened silently to both Moon and Titanite, thinking over how much to reveal about her recent excursions. Without really thinking how it might come across Para addressed Titanite, "Hmpf, and what evidence do you have to support this? May I remind everyone that there has not been any extensive documentation on these things. Not to mention, we haven't exactly been experimenting on healthy gems how corruption spreads, and for good reason. Besides, if that theory was correct then sure we would see far more corrupted loyalists. After all, they of all gems have a surplus of negative emotions." Despite being rather direct, there was no malice behind Para's words. She simply was one for getting straight to the point, "I will admit though, I do not have a strong theory myself. Simply put, there is just far too little data to make an assumption off of.
"Now," she looked around the room, "if I was to perhaps get a few 'samples' there could be something I could discover. While I may not be designed specifically for scientific endevours, I am likely the most qualified gem we have available on short notice. Not to mention any equipment I might need for the research could be made right there at the forge. It may be our best bet for learning more, any objections?"
Varis nodded to these..... unknown gems. Where was Meta? Or Obsidian the black knight? Varis had never seen any of these gems before, were they Crystal Gems like him? This all could have been some crazy trap after all, why wasn't this held at the Temple? Why here in Empire City where the loyalists are so strong? He had realized he was still standing near the front door, moved in a bit more before leaning onto the wall behind him once within the group.
He waited, letting everyone speak before thinking back to the time he spent with that Spinel... seemed like he bathed in the corruption... even enjoyed the power it granted him. He waited until everything was said and done, the Oranage gem asked if anyone had any objections to her taking the lead on these gems.
"Uh.... has anyone here spoken with one of these gems? I have.. a Spinel told me that uh.. well its a way to get power.. something about a gem getting pushed so far, its been s-some time though since iv seen'em." That was almost all he knew of the corruption... other then it seemed to have spread to that Metal who had started rusting... or that was something else, not very sure.
"Where is Meta?" Varis asked rather bluntly... he didn't know any of these gems yet they called themselves Crystal Gems... how? Did they just pick up the title because they liked it, "And why are we here in Empire City? The Temple is our home." Varis almost seemed mad.... he spent so much time breaking himself for the Crystal Gems only for them mostly to vanish... and some random gems to come and just pick up the title without having done anything for it?

He saw that Para has a good point to debunk such a ridiculous theory. Also, he heard the name Meta, but looked confused. "No objections here, Para." He then looked at Varis. "Excuse me? Who is Meta? Also We are in Empire City because it is where this 'M Tower' is, according to someone whom calls themselves an heir to 'Morion'. Apparently he rules over Empire City. Speaking of which, that brings us to our next topic; the rule of Homeworld gems in Empire City. The M Tower should be our target. Now, since they are able to take Empire City under their control, it is obvious that they are not to be taken lightly, but if we all work together, we might be able to liberate Empire City from Morion. It may hinder the recruitment of gems to go to the Homeworld side, thus giving the rebellion the upper hand. Now, does anyone have any ideas on how to infiltrate it, and Para, I can count on you too."
Suddenly, a small white gem burst into the room. In her burst she rolled forward and went head over heels. She landed on her back with a thud and slowly stood. Rubbing the back of her head she looked around shyly.
"U-Uh... sorry I`m late guys! " Flurry mumbled. She looked arounjd the room at all of the crystal gems. They were all gems she hadn't met, well all of them except Para.
"Hey Para! Do you remember me? We met in the forge! " Flurry chirped, waving at her vigorously. She then started digging into her bag. "Hey look what I made with my blacksmith skills! "
Flurry then pulled a broken wrench from her bag. Looking at it with surprise she had apparently forgotten that she had broken it. She blushed, knowing that she had made a fool of herself. She then looked around at all of the crystal gems again.
"Eh... I'm White Spinel, but I like to be called Flurry! "
Titanite listened to the prospect of infiltrating Morion's tower and liberating this place from homeworld. Though the idea was not too bad and held great intentions, beating Morion in combat was easier said than done.
"Well I've got some ideas on how to infiltrate it, obviously if any gem here has invisibility accessible to them it would work well in their favour. Otherwise, entering from an upper floor where nobody is looking could work. But, if the objective is to beat Morion, sneakily infiltrating might not work out too well, since from what I've heard he's obscenely strong. It'd take a pretty strong fusion or a group of 4 at least. And from my experience stealth in groups of more than two doesn't end too well..."
He didn't want to hold too much of a pessimistic attitude to this sort of thing, it was indeed possible, just incredibly difficult. He sat in his chair and glanced around the room, half expecting Para to pipe up again and call his ideas dumb.

She flashed a smile to Flurry, "A pleasure as always Flurry. Your creation is most... unique." She didn't have the heart to mention it was effectively useless in its current state.
Turning her attention to the matter at hand Para scoffed, "That little fortress? It's defenses are impressive for a human structure, but it is no gem structure. Given time I could fashion enough equipment to blow that place back down to its base components. But... a more subtle approach would make less enemies. If we can divert some gems to gathering some components I shall make some weapons and tools to assist the assault. But we will still soldiers, equipment only takes us so far. Someone needs to do some recruitment."
Para listened to Morion's description, nodding a few times, "If he is indeed as strong as rumor has it, we will need our own-" She almost said warmachine... "-fusion. Something to even the odds."
Rat: I'm gonna try my darnedest. Posted an ad for RP in the Character Plot area, so alls I gotta do now is wait I think?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
