~ " Whose blue light is that?" ~
~ Um...Carbide? You don't make blue light by chance, do you? Cause I know Cherry Opal can't ~
What was all this talk about a blue light? Did both her companions suffer from deficiencies in their low light vision? Carbide herself hadn't noticed the blue glow coming from behind her too much, since the Iridescent purple glow of her own gem was camouflaging the new light source. The sound of a step on the cold wet stone of the cave floor that wasnt in the direction of either Cherry or Octy did grab her attention though, prompting her to pivot and face in the other direction in time to hear a new voice that didn't match either of her .. travel companions..
~"Wait.... ummmmmm, this isn't right..?" ~
"Whose blue light indeed? Who's that there? There were only three of us that fell, so you better not be some sorta creepy mole rat person..."
Squinting into the light source, which seemed to be coming from the upheld palm of the figure, the conclusion that it was some sort of gem was an easy one to come by, but where had they come from? The couldn't have been ...living.. down here could they?
The sound of a few more tumbling pebbles echoed through the cave, punctuated by intermittent sounds of dripping water, striking various notes as they fell thorough the darkness and landed in various sized puddles, making unusual, nearly musical tones that echoed down the caverns, as she awaited a reaction from the figure with the upheld hand.
Unknown to the three gems behind Bizzy, her blast visor also reached over her audio receivers, making it quite hard for the dark blue gem to really hear anything at all, let alone the three gems that were talking behind her and her own light masking any light cast onto her. She was too busy inspecting the walls before her, it was solid but... she knew there was a pathway on the other side of this.
"I wonder.... if I'm where I think I am... a few good charges should crack this sucker WIDE open! Then again I COULD just... naaaawwww that's too much.. maybe.." What was she going on about? Clearly she was just rambling, well.. rambling about blowing up massive holes in the walls or even worse. Then again this is what she was build for, one would think she would have a natural talent of controlled demolition.
Walking up to the wall she looked it up and down, pressing her open palms onto the wall. She was feeling for the 'Safe Spots' as not wanting to bring more rubble down utop of herself. (Again) stepping away both her hands started to shine with a teal light, not needing very much to blow open the wall she didn't have to charge these for long at all. Reaching up high and palming the wall again with one hand, leaving a shining teal orb embedded into the wall. Then again directly before her.
Her right palm started to glow again as he bend over to place this charge slightly lower, then the others. She seemed to be humming something to herself, shaking her hips as she did so.
Standing back up quickly and looking over the three charges along the wall in a vertical line going up from the ground under their feet. Placing her hands on her hips and grinning from side to side, "Good thing no one else should ever really use these tunnels... gonna have to add a doorway here!" She had to stifle a laugh before holding her hand out and projecting a blast barrier of purple light from her gem in the palm of her right hand. The barrier was rather small, not enough to shield all three, just wide enough to keep herself out of the blast damage.
For some reason, maybe it was habit at this point but she started to count down... "Five.... four... three.." It was clear what she was set on doing. Still not aware of the gems behind her.
Cherry's eyes widened as she quickly realized what was about to happen. She looked around for cover to pull herself and her friends behind, but they were in a big cavern and Cherry doubted that stalagmites were reliable cover- so that was just absolutely great luck. Cherry could probably withstand most of the blast.. The shrapnel would be the real problem here. Cherry then realized this could all be avoided by simply poking this gem and revealing to her the fact that there were 3 other gems in this cavern. Yeah that would be a lot easier then diving into cover. She took a few steps forward and gave Bismuth a few hard pokes on the shoulder with her right hand.
Bloodstone tried to figure out just who the gem was that was talking and giving off the strange blue light. Octi looked them over, it appeared that the gem was...well not as tall but they had a visor that was covering their ears up
"Well...this explains the sudden blue light. Probably wouldn't hurt to see if they're okay and such."
Octi walked over, curious to see if the gem was friendly or not, but when the countdown started going off then Bloodstone suddenly ran up and tried to get the gem's attention, noticing that Cherry Opal had the same idea as they both tried to get Bizzy to turn around and NOT possibly cave in the entire tunnel system on them

Carbide too had heard this peculiar gem counting down however she was a bit of a realist.. or maybe pessimist, or maybe just a pragmatist, yeah, that sounds about right, and the pragmatic and practical thing to do right now was to hope that Cherry's taps on the shoulder had at least alerted this gem to the presence of other gems in the blast zone, buttttttt... just to be safe.. the inconvenience of tackling the two gems to safety AGAIN..was far outweighed by the perspective inconvenience of getting blown to smithereens. That and you really shouldn't sneak up on anyone who uses explosives and tap them on the shoudler or otherwise startle them. This was going down as a relative crap-shoot, and so.....
"AWWWWWWNOT AGAIN!! Hit the dirt, rocks for brains!!" Carbide's voice could be as loud as her weapons thunderous rapport some times, so even with that headgear on, she knew that Octy, Red, this demo-gem and anything else hiding in the woodwork, would have heard her! In the mean time though, Carbide was once again airborne, and tackles Octy and Cherry behind a large boulder, and waits with her fingers in her ears, for the demo-gem to either blast the wall down, or turn around and pay attention to their surroundings..
For the record, this would be the SECOND time Carbide landed face first on Cherry's torso in the past hour. At this point she may as well go for some sort of awkward record and hope that Cherry didn't bean her in the head for sending them sailing into the dirt twice now. After all, she had no clue as to the overall resilience of Cherry to impact or the like, and even though Octy was pretty tough too, there was no need to be sweeping up her allies with a dust pan..
There was a tapping on her shoulder, thinking that... no other gem should be down here, she turned her head slightly in time to see two panicking gems clearly trying to gain her attention. Giving what she was about to do the fear she saw seemed logical, pulling her right hand up to her face, she taps on the side of her visor, its fading away rapidly as her teal eyes shined outward over the two new gems.
"...Wha-" She was cut off by sudden yelling and then the two gems before her being taken for a ride by a plum shade blur.
Her face twisted quickly to one of confusion, "Uhhh........ ok, what are you three doing here? This place should be closed off until the operating crew takes over." hands resting on her hips. She then thought about what she just said.. her eyes wondered as her face moved to different shades of confusion. Gears in her mind turning before a lightbulb!
Had they left? Is the ship she should be on still around up above? She didn't have time to think!
"DONT MOVE IF YOU LIKE YOUR PRETTY PROJECTION!" She called out as she jumped before the three gems pilled utop of each other, a blast shield forming before her, this one seemed large enough to shield them all. Without much other warning, three small bangs racked the pit they were in, but nothing fell, when the smoke clears there was a new hole in the wall. Leading into a hallway that if without knowledge of the layout, would be a confused maze of pathways under the Kinderguarden.
Before the smoke even cleared Bizzy had bolted out the doorway, "Please still be there!" her voice echoed though the halls, her heavy boot prints thumping loudly as she moved. It didn't even occur to her to see if the other gems were ok after the blast.
Only slowing to a stop when she reached what should have been the exit, which had been blocked from more rubble from the earlier incident that set her core free. Not thinking, she jumps towards the wall of rubble and stone thrusting her fist clear through the wall of debris. She left a hole in the wall and pressed her face into the rocks, peeking out and not only did she not see a ship but... her project seemed to be in ruin?
"Wha? Th-they left? Ugh! THOSE CLODS!" she kicks at the wall with another loud thud, pressing her back up to the opposite wall and sliding down onto her bottom, hands covering her face. She was quiet... not in tears but clearly a bit upset over something.
Cherry was tackled; again. Same gem and everything. Luckily Cherry was quite the resilient gem- If she could take shots from Pyrope's hammer, then being tackled was nothing. She awkwardly crawled out from under the other gems, and stood up, dusting herself off. She looked at the blue gem who.. Didn't seem to care about the three strange gems she had never seen before. Cherry took a few steps forward and spoke somewhat quietly. "How long have you been here..? This Kindergarden has been abandoned for.. Who knows how long now.." She explained to this gem she had never met before. Cherry was meeting a lot of new gems. Not like that was a bad thing; though. Only one of the gems she had met since she arrived in Beach City had attacked her, and even then that was a sparring match so it didn't really count.
Bloodstone winced a little as she was tackled AGAIN, although it still didn't hurt. Octi sighed and stood back up, brushing themselves off as Bizzy had some...interesting reactions. Something wasn't right here about this whole situation now that it came to mind
"A few decades at the bare minimum, by my guess. Although I can't say for sure."
She walked up to Cherry and Bizzy, sensing that the new gem was one that was...well at least could easily be friendly
"Look..I know this has to be a bit...confusing to you. But I think you may be a little bit...behind in terms of the time."
Bloodstone was trying her best to say that she was in the future but..wasn't sure what to say

Carbide peeked up cautiously as the explosions she had expected to be mighty and careless turned out to be precise and surgical. Grumbling she let her companions crawl free and was soon up on her feet and surveying the hole in the rock wall and the space beyond it, then the gem demolitions engineer who now sat despondent on the ground.
Her visor tinting shifted to a nearly fully transparent state, to come off a bit less threatening as she dropped town to one knee with a thud on the rock floor before the gem.
“You must have been part of the original geoforming expedition tasked with preparing this region for use as a kindergartening site, weren’t you? I’m Carbide.. no cut or facet really, bit of a One-Of you could say. That’s Octi, a bloodstone and Cherry, an Opal, I believe. What should we be calling you, I mean, you appear a bismuth of some type to me.”
Carbide notes the inset gem with the hollow stepped spiral pattern on the gem’s palm..
"You seem to give off the vibe that you know your way around down here, does any of this place look familiar to you? I've done some underground exploring in this kindergarten, hunting for lava tubes, but I've hardly mapped them all... or even a third of what I think is down here."
If she were in the company of other gems, she might be a litle more concerned about the hazards to be found beneath the earth, but she knew Octy was pletny tough, and Cherry was definitely no slouch either.
So much time had past.. well an unknown time to the dark blue hued gem. She wanted so much right now, to get out of these tunnels, to indulge in a few human activities she had done so many years ago.. mostly something to eat with a lot to drink. Also she wanted to bash the Peridot or whatever gem had let her work fall into such decay.
As the two other gems seemed to wanted to check on her which was touching but... she just didn't know how to feel right now. She remained seated on the ground, glancing up at the three gems before her, "Behind in the times... yeah that's one way to put being lost and forgotten..." Letting out an in-needed sigh she pulls herself back up to her feet, dusting herself off. "You can call me Bizzy, I was never a fan of the cut and stuff... too much to remember, heh." She was indeed a simple gem.
Looking around the tunnel and placing both hands onto her cocked hips, "I mean... I SHOULD by protocol be making you all leave but..." A smile couldn't help but grace her face, "Im most likely already fired so. why not?! I do know where we are by chance, I did build this place after all. Be a pretty bad Bismuth if I couldn't navigate my own work." She walks by the three gems holding out her gemed hand, a teal blue light shining out before them, lighting up the tunnels as she started to move.
"So.... what caused all this damage? None of YOU did anything.... right?" She could tell by the impacts around the walls from the tunnel that the ground has shifted, displacing the Earth around them, "I uh...." realizing she was being rather rude she stopped and turned to the three gems, her cheeks flushing a teal color slightly, "I should.. thank you all.... who knows how long I would be under there if none of you did well... what ever happened that freed me." Looking down... saying thanks was still a bit weird for her, most of the time she was digging or working by her own. Not to mention getting blamed for things going wrong, then again it all could be from her jarring re-awaking.
Cherry hadn't seemed think it was rude to ask that. It was a question that Cherry would have if she was in this situation. Her face was one of deep thought for less than a minute before she responded, ”Well uh, Bizzy was it? I haven't been on Earth for too long so I can't tell you what did all this damage. That also rules me out for the possibility of one of us doing some damage to this place. Can't say anything for the other two though..” Cherry Opal said, shifting from foot to foot as she spoke. The drop shock trooper looked at Bizzy as she spoke again, “Er..It’s not a problem.. totally wasn't some kind of accident at all..” Cherry muttered the last part and began to follow Bizzy
Bloodstone understood why Bizzy was a little bit antsy around the other gems, likely a little bit confused
"I can tell you that there's no real way I could have done this much damage to the Kindergarten. I think this may have just been a test of time or something like that"
Octi shrugged as she started walking after Bizzy, the gem's light being one of the few actual sources of light in the entire area
"It's alright. You have every right to be suspicious of us. We did technically enter your home after all. I'd honestly probably act the same if I had just woken up and finding my home on the beach destroyed"
Bloodstone shivered a little at that thought, hoping she never had to experience that

"Okay.. well..." Carbide found herself in a teeeeeeeny bit of a pickle, only because of the question concerning the extensive damage and delapitation of the kindergarten itself..
"..Well, in the interests of honesty and good faith, I do fully concede that it is well within the realm of my capabilities and specs to do this level of damage .. or more.. to a gem facility. However, as Octy can attest, I am seldom the overtly destructive type. So, yes, it could have been me... except it wasnt. My talents are actually a teeny bit in line with your explosive results actually er.. Bizzy."
Carbide kicked a little pebble along the ground then steps forward to examine the blast work that Bizzy had just carried out, admiring the precision.
"As for what brought us down here, a derelict injector drill clinging to a cliff wall suffered an anchoring arm failure and fell, it hit the valley floor hard enough, that it broke through, caused a bit of a rock slide that carried us down here with it. Needless to say not much of the equipment anywhere in this valley is what you might consider optimal or even operational."
She hoped that provided the bismuth demolition expert with a bit of context that could help her out at the moment. "I guess we should try and get back up and or out there, am I right??"
Bizzy turned holding both her hands up smiling, "Whoa! Im not blaming any of you! Geez! Its like you all think im part of the Inquisition or something! I mean... Yeah I dont like that all my work was kinda RUINED! BUT!" she took a moment to compose herself, "Its not like I had planned on ever returning here again sooo.. Really not that big of a deal. Plus it DID free me so I cant be that mad at any of you." she was being honest here. While no Bismuth likes to see their work in shambles, most of Bizzys best works have all been her just demolishing entire areas by herself.
Taking a moment to look Carbide over, "Those injectors are pretty cruddy.. Peridots installed them so.. Kinda figured it was a matter of time before they started to break." Nodding that getting out was probably the best option right now, "Yeah, no problem! Follow me and Ill get us out." she smiled a bright grin as she turned back and started to work their way into the caves once more.
"So you three all friends? Guessing Honeworld sent you all here for a check up or something?" she wasnt looking back anymore as she had to navigate the cave system. There was still alot of info she had missed with her lil nap.
(Sorry this reply has taken so long guys! Was finishing off the school year and then I had some personal things to deal with.)
"I actually just met these two gems. I was kind of just... exploring the area." She said trying to think of a reason she came here in the first place. "I don't exactly know why these two are here." Cherry gave a slight shrug as she finished her sentence. "Did they not have Zircons yet when they were building this place? I've seen those gems help with Kindergartens occasionally.. I don't remember if Zircons or Peridots were better than one anothher.. Anyways, I'm no Peridot my self but I'd guess the rock actually gave away rather than the injector itself." She said, not really sure why she was talking about this.
This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
