The short trip to the fountain had been in silence, or at least Para had not spoken a single word. Once they had warped in she had to admire the surroundings, despite being in a poor mood Para had to admit this place was beautiful. She wandered around for a few moments to take in the scenery, it was just as amazing as what she had been told. But she would have to admire it at length later, there was a job to do and she would rather it get done as soon as possible.
Para began moving towards the large star entrance, "This way, don't doddle." Without really waiting for Fulgurite she pressed on into the actual fountain area, stopping just inside the entrance to marvel at the massive statue that dominated the center of the area. She went silent again while nearing the base of the fountain, running a hand along the delicate stonework. Abruptly she turned back, "Alright, get in." Her glare and tone made her seem pretty serious.
"Alright, get in." Fulgurite kept quiet as the warped from the Forge, not wanting to end up making things any worse by attempting to make small talk. When they arrived Fulgurite was quiet taken aback at the sight, the sprawling foliage was a sight to behold. He took a moment to take it all in before Para brought his attention back to what they were there for. "Right, I'm coming." He turned and followed Para further into the giant garden. When they arrived at the fountain stopped again and marveled at the sculpture and stone masonry of the fountain before them. He moved up to the edge and looked into the water after Para spoke again. "Is it really that simple? Just submerge myself and my gem will be restored?" Fulgurite raised and eyebrow as he slowly dipped his right hand into the fountain.

She nodded her head, "It's that simple, supposedly. It has to make contact with your damaged core, but as far as I am aware that is all there is to it. If that doesn't work... I'll figure something out." Despite wishing nothing to do with Fulgurite at that moment, she wasn't going to just leave him injured like this. After all, she wasn't one to leave a job unfinished. And of course he still owed her something...
While he sorted himself out Para began wandering out the fountain, taking in some of the intricate designs and patterns used in both the statues and the walls. Whoever made this certainly took some great care in their work, everything was seemingly flawless. Probably out of respect for her. It was the first time she actually saw what this fabled 'Rose Quartz' looked like. She was impressive.
"I'll figure something out." Fulgurite nodded and then stepped onto the edge of the fountain and looked down into the water. "Interesting, quiet deep for a fountain. Though I suppose for what it's supposedly for, it would need to be spacious." Fulgurite decided if he was going to get wet that he might as well have a bit of fun with it. He raised his arms above his head and dove into the fountain. He surface quickly and swam to the other side of the fountain then climbed out and as he did is when he felt the effect kick in. As if a warm touch was tracing along the crack in his gem, binding it back into one untarnished piece. He stood by the edge of the fountain and marvel at the sensation as his eyes finally changed back. Thought they were not much different, going from completely whited over to having his grey iris's with his hexagonal pupils. He blinked repeatedly, changing through his various lenses to make sure everything was back in fully working order.

Para paid Fulgurite little attention, and by the time he resurfaced she was sitting at the edge of the fountain looking over one of the many blooming roses littering this place. She ran her hands over its petals, a hollow smile on her face. Without looking up she spoke quietly, "You know, despite never meeting her I believe the stories about her are true. That she was a mighty quartz, powerful and caring. Something about her creation made her unique, something magnificent. Heh... they say she made every gem, no matter how different or defective, feel welcome. A shame I never met her..." She tossed the flower in the fountain and stood up to examine Fulgurite, noting the potency of the healing effect. Her eyes met his, "How do you feel?"
"How do you feel?" Fulgurite ran his hand over his gem, amazed that it had indeed been fully restored. He felt no trace that it had even been damaged in the first place. "I feel better than I have in centuries. Fully scale system repair and the pleasant sensation of my gems' restoration had left me rather..." Fulgurite paused briefly and stretched a bit. "Re-invigorated. Despite the circumstances that led to me needing to come here in the first place, this has been rather enjoyable." Fulgurite looked over to Para then up to the statue in the middle of the fountain. "As for the leader of the rebellion, I only have heard Homeworlds view of her. But I highly doubt much of those comments hold any true validity."

"Truly fascinating..." It was clear she was talking to herself more than anything, "The potency of this fountain is impressive, I will have to keep it in mind for future en-devours." Her eyes scanned his form to try and find any faults or side affects, finding nothing of the sort thankfully. Satisfied it was more than successful Para stepped back from him and crossed her arms, "I'm glad you at least found this enjoyable..." Her look was nothing short of icy. She followed his gaze to the fountain, "It has come to my attention that Homeworld has not be entirely truthful on many things, I am sure Rose Quartz is no exception."
She stayed silent for a long moment, wondering about the supposed leader of the Crystal Gems. How strange it was that she was not here with her forces, not even leaving a second in command (as far as she was aware). Eventually her attention returned to Fulgurite, "Alright, our time together grows short. But before we part ways I believe you owe me the information on the production of your augment's alloys."

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
