Bloodstone had decided that it was that time again, dropping by the Derelict for what could possibly be a..therapy session? Vacation? Either way, Octi felt like they HAD to come back to the ranch on the ship.'
"Thank you again for this Morion...you know how much I've grown to like this part of the ship"
She couldn't help but blush, the Bloodstone was showing a little bit more feminine traits in their physical projection for the day. It was true though, ever since being introduced, Octi seemed to love the Ranch part of the ship as much as...well, the whole ship itself.
"I've admittedly been thinking about what you told me last time, how this might be a reminder of how much I want to be part of the...group or collective again. I have no idea why but I'm having trouble..well, accepting that."
The Smoky Quartz greeted her; he was in his usual suit, resting on the cane "There is no same in accepting something that true... do not feel bad about your feelings! You are a Gem! Experiments or not, you are one of Us! You are, you were ,and you forever be one of us! Part of the Gem Empire! "
"The Herd, or the Family, or the Gang... it matters not ,or just a very little... they are gentle reminders, where you belongs! Some where, where you have your place, your "function" among like minded friends! To be the part of the Court and the Caste is a need that is coded deep in to our very beeing! We need that order... it gives us freedom and safety
Bloodstone smiled back and nodded, sighing a tiny bit
"I...I suppose you're right. At least we both know that I definitely AM an experiment, thanks to the records that I got from Fire Agate. Hopefully in the future I can find exactly how that experiment was done...and just in case there's something else hidden inside me."
Octi shivered at the thought of that, that there may have been something hidden inside them, like a lockdown mechanism for a door
"Admittedly the Herd is something that comforts me...but I want to try to maybe explore more of this place. I know you said that the Ranch had many more animals than the horses, perhaps you could show me a more extensive tour of the place?"
"I am sure my dear, you are so much more than you seems..."
The Smoky Quartz nodded
"A diamond in the rough... or a pearl that was cast before the swine!"
Adn that fact angered the Assassin Bloodstone was not only experimented on but was wasted on this misrable planet She could have been so much more It was painfull, phisically painful lto think about the possibilites Bloodstone could have... and those were never realised Yellow Diamond was a god damned fool
"Hmm? Sorry, lost in my toughts... of course, we have several animals... please follow me! Any particiluar favourits you have my dear Bloodstone? Any favorite kind of animlas? Anything?"
The Smoky Quartz was a bit curious Bloodstone was interresting^^
Bloodstone blushed heavily and smiled at the compliments that Morion was giving her
"Th-thank you...that really does mean a lot in my opinion. Never thought of myself like that."
Octi giggled and started thinking for a second, trying to remember all of the various animals that are generally kept on a ranch like this
"Hm...well...besides horses, I feel like some of my favorites are um...cows...chickens have always been fascinating to me for some reason, no idea why. I guess a good question to ask is how many animals do you have that would perhaps help me out with my little..group mentality practice thing?"
Bloodstone blushed and looked at the ground, not sure just what else to say
"We have cows. And bulls. You know we have several mexican gang members... and the bulls are important in their culture. Sort of. Like the chicken. Not to mention the eggs they gives... a couple of dogs..."
The Smoky Quartz walked with the Bloodstone
"I don't exactly know, how many animals we have... I must admit. The Derelcit was a Colony Ship... an old vessel, ancient in fact! But from the modern ships, like the crashed pods, eyes and such things, I have manged to instal several of the "Bigger in the inside" circuits... so our ranch is pretty large!"
"What do you meanm "group mentality practice thing"?
Of course he knew, but a little firendly "torment" was always fun^^
Octi couldn't help but giggle a little at the name, "Bigger in the Inside" circuit, although it DID seem to fit the name. The ranch looked a lot bigger than the Bloodstone had actually anticipated! She sighed and smirked a little
"You know what I mean! How I seem to be a bit more calmer or at least..well, I can settle in easily when I'm with a group. Or at least this seems to apply with animals..I suppose we can't really know how it would work with gems until I had a chance to do it in practice."
Bloodstone shrugged, but smiled. They were always willing to figure out new aspects of themselves, so it was perfectly alright.
"No offense, but I would think that the gem who technically owned the colony ship would know how much of what is ON their ship..just saying~"
"As some day it may happen that a victim must be found, I've got a little list — I've got a little list Of society offenders who might well be underground, And who never would be missed — who never would be missed! There's the pestilential nuisances who write for autographs — All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs — All children who are up in dates, and floor you with 'em flat — All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that — And all third persons who on spoiling tête-á-têtes insist — They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed!
There's the banjo serenader, and the others of his race, And the piano-organist — I've got him on the list! And the people who eat peppermint and puff it in your face, They never would be missed — they never would be missed! Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone, All centuries but this, and every country but his own; And the lady from the provinces, who dresses like a guy, And who "doesn't think she dances, but would rather like to try"; And that singular anomaly, the lady novelist — I don't think she'd be missed — I'm sure she'd not he missed!
And that Nisi Prius nuisance, who just now is rather rife, The Judicial humorist — I've got him on the list! All funny fellows, comic men, and clowns of private life — They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed. And apologetic statesmen of a compromising kind, Such as — What d'ye call him — Thing'em-bob, and likewise — Never-mind, And 'St— 'st— 'st— and What's-his-name, and also You-know-who — The task of filling up the blanks I'd rather leave to you. But it really doesn't matter whom you put upon the list, For they'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed! "
Bloodstone giggled, trying to picture Morion as a Peridot..it wouldn't be too surprising but it would probably still be a bit surreal given the circumstances. She kept walking, listening to the song..it was quite a different one at that. Octi couldn't help but applaud when the lyrics sounded like they were done
"Very nice! It never ceases to amaze me how you always have a song on hand. Maybe I should take some lessons from you?"
She blushed a little and kept walking, seeming to find the place where the cows were stored
"Oooh, hey, can we go there first?"
Bloodstone ran on ahead, knowing that the answer would definitely be yes but it never hurt to ask...manners and all
The Smoky Quartz admited He always liked the music, singing and song.. tho' he never made anything new Just mimiced the already existing ones Actually that was very fitting for an Infiltrator, whos job was to infiltirate, kill and replace the targets, stole their lives...^^ The Assassin looked around
"Yes my dear, we could go there first..."
The Smoky Quartz nodded with a warm smile She was cute, running around, excited and all
"Some says there is a wisdom in the eyes of the bovines... after all, they are just contemplating on the mysteries of the universe all day, chewing the grass... some spiritual connenction with the earth and all. But on the other hand there is the Minotaur, the half man-half bull "monster", the representation of animal lust, and the loss human intelligence. Or something like that.
"Fair enough..I suppose I should have expected as much from a fantastic Assassin like yourself"
Bloodstone giggled as she listened to Morion explain the history, or at least some knowledge related to cows that Bloodstone was not aware of
"Fascinating...it's amazing how much humans can put into context when looking at animals..maybe you were right. I guess it wouldn't hurt to learn from them and see what sort of 'mysteries' they're all hiding."
Octi walked over to some of the cows and crouched down, sitting next to some of them. Admittedly she wasn't sure just what to do first but it was..kind of neat, she found herself staring in the eyes of one of the cows that was grazing, thinking it was....well, neat if nothing else
"Humanity is young, compared to the other biological creatures on Earth.... you know. But there are several older ones! The Posidonia Oceanica Seagrass, an aquatic plant is located in the warm waters right off of the Balearic Islands in Spain. This is a colonial plant that is able to reproduce without having the plant die. This kind of sea grass is estimated to be over 200,000 years old."
He walked next Bloodstone
"Rare Eucalyptus is a kind of exceptionally old eucalyptus that is located in New South Wales, Australia. The plant is estimated to be over 13,000 years old. It is very tough to find, and there is an estimated living population of only five."
"The Mojave Yucca kind of short cactus is located in the Mojave Desert. The cactus grows in small clumps, and develops purple flowers every year. A single Mojave Yucca can live for 12,000 years, and grows in colonies that grow in a distinctive circular patern.
He smiled "Welwitschia Mirabilis is an unique shrub is located in the Namib-Naukluft Desert in Namibia. The shrub is known for its wide leaves, and the way that it creeps along the ground. Some specimens of the plant are believed to be two thousand years old.
"The Huon Pine is a large colonial tree that lives in Tasmania. Huon Pine grows in long branches, and will have the previous parts of the plant slowly die. Huon Pine can live for well over 10,500 years."
"Pando is a Populus tremuloides tree or clonal colony that has been estimated at 80,000 years old. Unlike many other clonal "colonies", the above-ground trunks remain connected to each other by a single massive subterranean root system. Whether it is to be considered a single tree is disputed, as it depends on one's definition of an individual tree. These are just a few on Earth that are actually almost older than the human civilisation... even as a Gem it is strange to visit a biological life form that is older than me! The Humans never were humble enough to bow before these old ones with respect"
"Well...no I wasn't TRYING to flatter you, also...show-off."
Bloodstone laughed and smiled, admittedly impressed by how much Morion had always known. Maybe she should try to take that up sometime...
"So many plants..and so many old ones too! So..what you're getting at is that humans will treat anything that's older than them or...well that might be critical to their survival as important...That's impressive."
Octi took that into consideration as she concentrated, turning into form that appeared similar to one of the female cows that were on the ranch
"Well? Did I do good this time..? It feels like I did but I admittedly can't tell."
She couldn't help but blush, thinking she was getting the hang of shapeshifting
Morion patted the bovine on the head "Got the udders right too and everything, tho' your skin is just... skin, I mean, you forgot cows are furry animals, their coat is somewhat unique! It is hard to copy that, but with little traning, you will be perfect little cow!"
The Assassin smiled to the strangely colored cow^^
"There is a saying among the humans; The Ox is slow, but the Earth is patient."
The smoky Quartz smiled warmly
"I suggest my dear Bloodstone, spend a day or two amog the herd, as a cow, live among them, like we live among the humans, learn from them...
Bloodstone smiled and blushed when she realized the mistake that she made
"O-oh...I see...yes I suppose I'll have to keep that in mind next time I try this form."
Octi smiled back, taking into consideration what Morion had said and nodded
"I suppose...do me a favor and at least check up on me, if nothing else. Let me know when it's been about a day or so, I'll see how much I hold up with the herd..who knows, I might like this more than the horses"
It was true, Octi was legitimately curious to see how she may do with a full days exposure to the herd mindset, unlike the short time that she had tried with the horses
Melody: "The fight system of this site is really Ehh..." Well... how would you improve it? ^^
Oct 14, 2019 17:53:41 GMT
Flurry: I think that theres not much that can be done in just, regular rps, I think before a fight both sides should agree to do it, and decide the winner based on logic, because otherwise we're doing this "Hey im really cool" thing that goes back and forth
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:03 GMT
Flurry: I made Flurry cause id rather have a support/non fighting character anyway
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:31 GMT
Chip the Fire Opal: I have Chip who is a killing machine... and Sapphire who couldn't fight a broom
Oct 14, 2019 19:58:03 GMT
Flurry: Ive got Sulfur who impales people with a lot of swords, and Flurry who cant even heal people without being on the verge of collapse
Oct 14, 2019 19:59:04 GMT
Light: so... You think the fight system is bad, but you also don't know how to improve it? I understand what you are trying to say, but it is something that roleplayers should take care of. Admins can only tell you that the way you play is wrong or ban

Rat: Speaking of moderators, when should I expect my character to be judged by the judgment fairy?

Rat: Welp, guess I'll die.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show

*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
