Gaia Stones/Green Obsidians - (General Construction) Gaia Stones, or more commonly known on Homeworld as "Green Obsidians" vary widely in appearance and personalities but most if not all of them have glass related powers which helps them greatly in construction. A small portion are ranked higher than others due to their potency with their powers.
Howlites: Hunters and scouts. Typically sent on high profile black operations. With their Tracker Vision and Cold Shots, it's impossible to hide from them. They live.in packs of 9. Each pack has an Alpha, a Beta and 7 Omegas. The name of the pack is the gem cut. These pack hunters are always drifting around. Stalking their next target. They hunt beasts and gems alike. If a Howlite pack has been sent for you... You're a dead gem walking.

Silicon Carbide - Prototype Heavy Scout. Specialized for off world independence and survival in harsh volcanic geophysical environments.

Surviving Specimens: One currently confirmed as active by those gems on Earth, however her official status in home world databanks is MIA/KIA 1000 years before RP present. Status as alive unable to be updated to Home World due to severed data link/ warp link to earth due to Galaxy Warp Destruction and low profile/transient nature of this specimen.

Varisicte, A Paragon on the battlefield and in times of peace.
Main function- Protect, and Serve troops on the field with moral support and combos as a hit and run unit, utilizing speed and brute force.
Off the feild of battle, duty is to calm any unruly/excited gem. Keep the mind state of the soldiers good and healthy.
Assigned Diamond- Any.
Varisictes have to be versatile gems, serving under any Diamond for any reason, means that Variscites need to be aware of what subjects to speak about to each group of gems. Its important a Varisicte knows what tales and stories will inspire or calm any group of gems under any Diamond at any time.
Green Spinel Caste Status: Green Spinels are respected but they are not really in charge of anything, much like Sapphires. They are also rare, and only ever seen in the heavily guarded and secretive kindergartens. To see a Green Spinel is a rare event, and as they have limited to no fighting abilities they are always assigned a gem guard on their missions of nurturing gems into life.
Function: Help prepare planets along with Lapises for kindergartens by promoting the life to be siphoned by the gems. They then help gems grow after they have been injected, and monitor their growth until they are fully developed and emerge. They are usually the first gem seen by those of their kind, and it is usually the last time a gem will see them.
Diamond: Formerly they were exclusively apart of the Blue Diamond Quart, however, in recent years some have been drafted to Pink's burgeoning Quart.
Diplomatic Gem, mostly a defensive class. Posh, sometimes mistaken for a Sapphire class from a distance. They teeter close to a Quartz class in size, but not in offensive capabilities.
Function: To infiltrate the enemy and gather information while carrying out missions of diplomacy with enemy forces. Generally prefers not to fight, but has some defensive measures. Saps away corruption by proximity.
A variety of gem which carries a similar status to that of a Pearl, though treated with more respect. Effectively, approximately 100 of these were produced for the express purpose of serving as personal guards for those who purchased them. Only one defect was recorded.
Typically Titanites were large in stature and often carried hefty weaponry such as Great Axes or large Warhammers in conjunction with their large size and strength. They were designed with a frontal assault fighting style in mind, meaning of course that they were to charge head first into the enemies and defend the one they were assigned to guard at all costs. They were incredibly durable as well, and were capable of taking plenty of hits before their forms gave out.
They were built in with a sociable, yet very obedient mindset so that they were pleasant to have around, but still listened to every word their owner said to them and followed every command their owner would give to them. Effectively they served as very reliable protection and a status symbol due to the exclusivity of their kind.

The Vesuvianite kind of gems is different in it's own ways, although only slightly at a first glance it turns out the gems much more complicated than what they appear to be. To start off, it is important to note that Vesuvianites are different from Idocrase by being frontal gems, unlike their 'refined' counterpart.
The basic functions of Vesuvianites are very similar to regular Quartz soldiers but with the twist of being, on average, way more resistant than your average Quartz, along getting the properties that most metal soldiers usually have to summon an armor protecting their projection. These gems also happen to also be a kind of 'master of arms' since 90% of Vesuvianites get made with the ability to summon any weapon from the regular triangle: Spears, Axes or Swords, and have access to every existing shape and form of these weapons, making each Vesuvianites somewhat different from the other one in their styles of combat. Vesuvianites, in the end, are made to be very durable and surprising gems, although are rare appearances anywhere because of the cost in energy of each single Vesuvianite gems, making them having to be reliable lone gems. There is a draw however, being that the cost of all these physical, fighting traits are also only possible because of a below-average intelligence. They can still become knowledgeable, but be very stubborn and generally don't have interest in scientific things, since their focus is being very good in defensive combat. Now all these abilities have a drawback and are kind of a gamble as a Vesuvianite can also be unlucky and not gain access to the full weapon potential, leaving them with only one type of weapon, plus the armor never covers everything, most of the time the gems have signature armor parts (and symmetrical). Other than that Vesuvianites can also happen to totally lose their weapon ability and get left with their signature ability (armor) plus something else taken from a various set of possibilities.
Overall Vesuvianites could be considered as elite gem tanks regarding their resistance and durability along the extreme versatility but with heavy creation cost and resource usage, along risks of side effects making the outcome unpredictable.
Iolite gems are a stealth operative gem, quiet, fast and strong for their size. They are usually medium in height, a bit shorter than the average quartz with a lean body frame, making them very effective in stealth operations. One of their unique abilities is having a much more diverse range of options in shapeshifting, with colour and texture being the most notable of their shapeshifting prowess. This allows them to easily go undercover, almost indistinguishable from the real thing if they find a way to hide their gem. Their other ability is to build up tension in their bodies that can be released. This can be through either a shockwave or directly applied by a body part I.e Hand or foot. This would be mostly used in combat, being able to store energy and using it to blast foes across the battlefield, however, it can also be used to propel the user, for example releasing it through their feet, pushing them into the air.
Each Iolite is "born" into a ring of 4 other Iolite, one leader Iolite, larger, stronger and good leaders, 3 normal Iolites and a runt, who is smaller but faster than the rest, good at getting into small spaces. They are fiercely loyal to their sisters, even loyalty to the extent one would show a diamond. If you are responsible for shattering or even harming one of them, rest be assure 4 more will be on your trail.
Rubellites are a light class of gem agents. They are highly intelligent surveillance gemstones. Perfectly obedient and loyal to the Diamonds, Rubellites have the lowest defect rate out of any gem. Quality over quantity is the key with them. They are employed in a variety of fields; ranging from honor guards, through prison wardens to one-man camera systems. Due to their ability to manipulate light and near-perfect memory, Rubellites can manifest and store video logs. This is the only form of communication Rubellites partake in. Other than that, they are completely silent and mostly motionless. They also possess incredibly sensitive hearing. This makes them prone to be distracted by loud noises... In some cases even stunned.
(I wanted to expand Light Mocha Pearls' and Mocha Pearls' story. I don't believe there are any errors... I will call Para if she could check it out. However the story includes the character I made some time ago. It is the "Mother of Pearl". She is basicly a pearl designer. She makes different types of Pearls. I don't it should be an issue for anyone with a Pearl character. BUT you can always call me and I will simply get rid of her. I will describe her in few worlds if she will be accepted.)
LIGHT MOCHA PEARLS And MOCHA PEARLS
Everything started 12 years before the rebelion...
The Mother of Pearl was given a task, she was suppose to design the new kind of Pearl, the Mocha Pearl. After 2 long years she made really complicated plans. Mocha Pearls had a brown skin, their clothes were the combination of Dark brown, brown and cream colors. The New Pearls were just like other Pearls. However they did have an unique abilitty- magicall wind. The power was able to boost the speed of the nearest gems. Mocha Pearls were suppose to be sometimes used in small groups so they could boost their speed and clean or do other kind of work. They also could summon holograms to project plans, memory or to be simply be a source of light.
The plans were send to her Diamond. Her leader had to check them first. Pearl was just a Pearl, this one just had a different color pallet and only one unique abilitty. But Diamonds had to be carefull with those kinds of things. The Mother of Pearl was loyal to them since she was created. But if someone get to the plans and changed them... Even few Pearls could cause chaos.
White Diamond accepted the plans and her White Pearl send them to a lot of stations with Peridots, gems with a big knowledge of a gem creation. The creation of a gem was a big process. So Peridots decided to use arleady exsisting unfinished/defective/poofed Pearls as a core of a new Pearl kind. There were a lot of them since the creation of the first Pearl, most of them were white. They would check how does prototype gems work and than create a real Mocha Pearls.
Peridots covered an unfinished gem with a brown substance made by the Mother of Pearl. In the same year first prototypes were created. They were given the name "Light Mocha Pearls". They were created with simple knowledge, they didn't know their gem cut... they simply didn't need that. The prototypes were suppose to simply stay in their facilities till they won't be needed anymore. Their skin was white, just like in the White Pearls case. Their clothes were usually a mix of white, cream, brown and dark brown colors. They had a rather skittish and coward nature. Their gems usually had one or more small pits. That is because their original gemstone wasn't usually perfectly round. Hey were also smaller than most of the Pearls (high like Lapis') and were a little bit more masculine.
4 months later (02.02.2006) Homeworld started to create first Mocha Pearls. They become a hit. However soon after that they were some issues. These gemes were really often finding a creative solution to not work or use someone. Homeworld stopped creating them. The ones arleady created were owned by a really high ranked gems. That is because they were really rare. And Sapphires were really wise, it was really hard to fool them. Besides, they were really loyal to the gems they knew for a long time. Not to mention their personality was sometimes usefull. There were rumors about one Mocha Pearl that tricked few rebels on Earth to come to the trap made by Homeworld Gems.
Light Mocha Pearl started to vanish. They were used as batteries or they were shattered. They were seen as off colors. The Mother of Pearl couldn't watch her creation being destroyed. She went to meet her Diamond, White diamond to talk about this problem. She explained how Light Mocha Pearl could be usefull.
Some time later (21.07.2017 on Earth) White Diamond ordered Peridots to make more Light Mocha Pearls. Her reasons were simple. They were really loyal, it was easy to manipulate them and they wouldn't dare to protest. They become popular on big space stations and factiories. They were usually owned by gems like Padparadschas (Para from our site, not show version), peridots and other technicans. They were also often connecting themselfs to machines to show Computer's data, plans, etc. Some Quarts soldier also owned them. Their magical wind could make their spin dash attack (if the had one) much better. Not to mention those Pearls could survive because of their coward nature. And they were easy to replace.
They are becoming more and more popular models.That way Homeworld is getting rid of a lot of old unfinished Pearls that were lying in the magazines.

Ambers were designed to be lesser healing Gems, made to give the stronger and more-effective healing Gems a higher place in their ranks and make them available for battles and operations where strong and effective healing would be necessary. Ambers were then given the job similar to what a human can all a "clinic doctor" or a "clinic nurse". They do general health care assessments, such as check-ups and the healing of lesser illnesses and damages sustained by the patient Gem. Should the patient Gem be beyond their power of healing, the Amber would send them off with a diagnosis to a stronger healing Gem. This can be related to the human concept of "referral". When you go in to get your check-up done, and the doctor sees something wrong with your foot that they are unable to fix themselves, then the doctor will refer you to a podiatrist.
Ambers are often based in Gem settlements, barracks, and Kindergartens to help watch over other Gems and to care for them should something go wrong. Some are known to even train other recently-made healing Gems -regardless of type- as a "Healing Basics 101" tutor.
Ambers are somewhat-common health-system Gems and therefore are low-tiered in regard of Homeworld’s hierarchy spectrum. They are of higher value than Rubies and Pearls, though can be owned by other Gems as a personal healthcare companion (think of Baymax from Big Hero 6). Ambers can also live independently if specifically assigned to a settlement, barrack, or Kindergarten.
They typically appear between the ages of mid-to late teens and young adults. They usually stand between the heights of 5'5 and 5'10 with a slim but thick body build. Outfit styles may vary from one Amber to the next, as well as that of hairstyles. They tend to have a pale-orange skin complexion.

You probably can form one of your own accords,people dont have to follow it but it still handy to have,i have a semi unused/planned to be used Charoite if its applicable. Somewhat Taller in build like a quartz but far more limber (think almost like Garnet), at least my one was intended to act as Elite Guards, usually used as more refined or sophisticated soldiers when social context or specific cargo dictates a more controlled but still powerful hand on the matter (IE Guards for within a Sea Spire where Sapphires and other gems gather, or security for more cultural gatherings such as hypothetical plays or other times where high class gems mingle and talk). I guess the closest parallel is that while Quartzs are Guards or Soldiers,Charoite are like Secret Service.

Well; I imagine some Chariotes as Servants- like pearls, but used as entertainment and butler/maid like services. Some, depending on their strengths, could even become foot soldiers. I also imagine Charoites as uncommon- not rare like their Earthly counterparts. I guess. Charoites can range from short and skinny to tall and buffy. My Purple Chariote, for example, is... medium size and skinny/lean, however her gem placement; the thigh; makes her Aerokinesis weaker than for an example a Purple Charoite that has a gem on her forehead. (The higher up it is in the air; the stronger the wind ability; although they are weaker than other aerokinesis users still.) Purple Charoites skin color can vary from a light lavender to a dark purple. However other kind of Charoites would depend on their roleplayers. There is more than one kind of Charoite after all (I think?)

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show.Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
