Black Pearl listened carefully, nodding occasionally. Her eyes became darker and darker until they were nearly black. "So... Howlite wants to torture Morion, huh..." She smirked, shaking her head. "Well, I guess we will have to... Encourage him not to think such things..." She suddenly summoned her wrist blades, and she slammed one into a nearby pillar. "And nobody is completely immune to pain," she hissed. "I will hurt him in every way possible until I FIND something that will bring him unimaginable agony!" She laughed loudly. "Oh, this is going to be so much fun!" She dismissed her weapon, then turned around, brushing the dust from the pillar off of her dress. She cleared her throat, then straightened her posture, clasping her hands together. "Sorry about that," she said. "Now... Where can we find Howlite?"
"Oh no... it is only common sense to get angered by any malicious intent toward your loved ones." Sulfur said with a smile. He then rubbed his chin and started to levitate. He flew near to Black pearl and waved his hand as he spoke. "Melissa, let me teach you something that Smoky Quartz once taught me. He taught me that it is never best to shatter those you hate. You can't gloat over a pile of shards, nor can you do anything to them. It would take absolutely no thought to shatter the fool. The question isn't where he is, but it is where he will be when we are done with him!"
Black Pearl scowled when Sulfur went over tbe whole "shattering is foolish" thing. What better way was there to get rid of one's enemies. But there was some wisdom in it. After all, how can a shattered Gem be tormented? She nodded, rubbing her chin. "Yes... Where will we put him...? Not in the M Tower; I don't think Morion would want to hear screaming when he's working. Some place secluded... Secret. Where no one would ever think to look... Some place abandoned by Gems and humans alike..." She bit her lip as she thought, and a few foggy question marks arose from her gem. She suddenly threw her hands up. "Oh, I don't know! I've only been here on earth for about half a century!" She sniffled, a few tears running down her face. "Oh, Sulfur..." She hiccuped. "I'm an awful friend! I don't even know any good spots to torture a foul Howlite..." She sat down in the dirt, her lip trembling.
Sulfur gasped. She thought Morion was still on earth. He had not the heart to tell her that he had left.
"Yes I doubt he would like that..." Sulfur said with a sad smile. He then stooped down. looked into her eyes. "Luckily for you I happen to know a place that would be perfect. The kindergarten. No gems come there since it has been shut down, and the gloomy place has many caves we could use."
He then shook his head dismissively as if realizing that he had gone off on a tangent.
"But I digress, the important thing is not where we torture him, but our methods of doing so!" Sulfur said, holding his right index finger up. "I honestly can only inflict physical pain... out of the two of us, I may be the awful one."
Black Pearl brightened up immediately. "Oh, yay! The Kindergarten! Perfect! Except... That's where... Kambaba was..." She cleared her throat, then forced herself to say the word. "Shattered. But I think it's time I went back. To finally let go... And to laugh at all the deformed holes, of course." She smiled for a second, then it faded. Her eyes became a shade of bluish-grey. "That day was the worst of my existence. I swore to myself that I would never feel such loss again, for if I did..." She looked down. "I don't think I could survive." She sighed, then looked back up at Sulfur. "But that was in the past. And Morion would never leave me! And nobody will ever take him from me. So!" She smiled brightly. "We're off to torture Howlite!"
Sulfur inwardly felt even worse. Morion totally left her! He promised himself that he would make an attempt to comfort her if possible. He did however feel that she would develop some odd attraction to him. He even considered telling her, but realized that would only bring the harsh reality closer to her. It would be better for her to become comfortable with him than feel alone when the time came.
"Alright, I know where the little piece of filth might be... but I`ll want a disguise." Sulfur pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and started to scribble on it with a pen. He handed it to her and it contained an address. "The first is to the location of Howlite, the next is to my own personal residence. Only visit if desperate."
Sulfur cleared his throat.
"I will tap your shoulder three times, and that is how you will know it is me. My disguise may be misleading."
Black Pearl squinted at the paper. "Okay, so when I get there, what should I do? I probably can't just go up to him and ask, 'Hey, are you Howlite?' without raising suspicion." She sighed. "I wish Morion would have trained me sooner. Maybe I would be able to do better on this mission if he did. Oh, well! I know he will soon! I haven't seen him recently, though. I'm sure he's just been busy. After all, it can't be easy to be the most powerful and wonderful Gem on Earth!" She smiled, a blush darkening her cheeks. "Oh, I am the luckiest Pearl in existence..." She shook her head, giggling. "Oh, forgive me, I'm always getting lost in thought. Anyway, back to Howlite. How will I trap him?"
"I know how he looks, I will strike up a conversation and we will become close to him. I think it would be best for us to not make any sudden moves on him until we have a chance. He is crafty." Sulfur said, making hand gestures as he spoke. "Next time we see him however, we will have a trap ready. Betrayal is always painful, even to those who can't feel pain."
Sulfur then frowned when she mentioned Morion.
"Well... I suppose if you need any training I would be capable in training you, until he returns that is." Sulfur said, trying once more to soften the inevitable blow that Black Pearl was going to take. "I am quite a skilled fighter..."
Sulfur then nodded as she suggested going back to the point.
"We will devise a plan later, for now I recommend that we remain docile toward him, so that we know what to expect, boost his trust for us."
