Luna sighs silently as she stepped from her hole, all around her was a wasteland, the earth of her home was dead the only thing with some beauty to this place was the pond she had made at the dead end where her hole was. The earth crunched under her feet as she began her daily portion of patrolling the area, something always pulled her to do this but she didn't mind, this place was so big she was always discovering new parts and with it came new gem pieces. It always hurt to see so many shattered gems and why they were so many here was always an unanswered question for her. Over the next few hours, the mute gem would find several gem shards each time bubbling them and sending them back to her cave. With each one she found she felt she needed to fix them, to make them whole to see them in so many pieces it just felt...wrong. "How could someone just leave you like this? You were someone once..one day I'll fix you..I promise" She thought to herself before she grits her teeth, once again she couldn't voice her promise, she couldn't talk and it was all due to the crack on the gem of her throat and she couldn't even remember how it had been damaged in the first place!

The deep gorges of the Kindergarten house some of the most terrifying abominations that gems had to offer the Earth in the destruction they wrought during its colonization. Countless years of abandonment and mistreatment would lead most gems to corruption at some point, and nothing was more true of those left stranded in the Kindergarten. The untold amount of time that they've had to fester in the darkness of their own corruption would turn anyone into the creatures they are now. It certainly wasn't a place you wanted to get lost in.
Glass had been wandering the Kindergarten for some time, being careful to not disturb the corrupt monsters that littered the mesas. As she explored, she eventually found a large cave, much larger than most of the small holes that dot the Kindergarten. Upon entering, she saw the bubbled remains of many gems floating in the cave. Curious, she began to investigate, lightly grabbing one of the bubbles and looking at the pieces inside.
As Glass would begin her investigation it wasn't long before another bubble appeared a whiteish-blue colored bubble same as the rest that gave off a faint light glow. The gem inside the newly formed bubble seemed to be a sunstone over half of its gem missing, it was broken at an angle, as if cut instead of just broken. It was clear someone was using this as their base and home.
Meanwhile, Luna stood up and dusted her hands off, bubbling this many gems while made her happy it also hurt that there were this many, to begin with. With the last bubble sent back she decided that was enough for the day, any more and she might run into the corrupted gems in this area. So with a quick turn of the heel, she began to make her way back towards her cave and pond, after all this work a dip in it sounded pretty nice to her! It didn't take her long to return as she didn't have to go at a slow watchful pace as she did while gem searching. But before she could go swimming she made her way to her cave planning to organize her bubbles never liking where they ended up. As she entered the tunnel that leads to her large cavern her body began to let off a light silvery glow, it had been pretty sunny that day and so she was using this chance to let some of the light she absorbed into her body bleed out.

While looking through the bubbles that floated through the cave, another suddenly appeared a few feet away from her. Curious, she let go of the bubble she was currently holding and approached the new one. It didn't differ from any of the others, glowing a light blue which helped to illuminate the inside of the cave. It was now obvious that someone definitely used this cave, and judging by the contents in every bubble being broken gems, she didn't want to find out who stayed here.
As she turned to exit the cave, she noticed someone standing at the mouth of the cave. Moving quickly, Glass quietly sneaked her way deeper into the caverns, finding a rather large nook big enough to hide her from plain sight. There she peeked her head out to see the gem glowing brightly at the entrance. Unsure of how to proceed, she stayed in her little cranny, peeking out every now and again to see where the stranger was.
Luna upon reaching her cavern smiled sadly and silently sighed. How could it be so many gems had been shattered and just..left here to be buried by time? She thought on this as she moved around bubbles until she found a place she liked, these were once gems, someone important if not to other than to themselves, they all deserved respect and each their own space. It was while doing this she began to feel...off, at first she ignored it but after a while, it became too powerful and she quickly glanced around. Her eyes landed on a bubble, it had been the one Glass had been first looking at but more importantly, this was the first shattered gem she had found that moonlit night she had been finally freed from this dark prison and as she looked in at the shards as she put it back in place she felt the same heartbreaking dispair unlike anything she had felt before, as well as the downpour of tears that fell from her eyes. She shut them tightly and in her anger and confusion she gave a silent scream of rage before slamming the side of her fist into the rock wall next to her it shuttered but staying strong. All the while her snow white hair started shuffling colors, black and grays showing her despair, to light orange and bright reds for rage only to settle on a mix of light red dark blue and yellow as her rage died down only to be joined by her sadness and confusion. Who was this gem to her and why did seeing their broken gem hurt this much?!

The gem that seemed to live in this cave walked around and began rearranging the bubbles that floated throughout the cave. Glass watched as the gem reached one that seemed to be of great importance to her, as she began to weep as she held it, her hair rapidly shifting colors as she cried. In the end, she slammed her fist against the wall and seemed to have settled down somewhat.
Glass wasn't very good with emotions. She was "raised" to be a machine, doing her duty and simply waiting for another assignment later. She didn't even know how to being thinking about her own emotions, let alone someone else's. With no real desire to console this stranger, she decided she would wait out the situation, sticking her head out from the rocks to see when this Gem would either leave or be too preoccupied to notice Glass slip by.
It was then Luna looked up, her eyes opening to reveal the pained look in them as her tears began to flow more. Or at least they would before her eyes landed on a red-headed figure. Between the light of the bubbles and the own light she gave off, it was surprising she hadn't noticed before now..It was with that thought her eyes widened with shock, the tears stopping only to be replaced by a blue blush across her cheeks. She had a guest in her home for the first time since...ever and here she was crying and being too emotional to even notice. For what seemed like an eternity the glowing gem stared at the stranger before her hair turned a bright pink out of embarrassment before, with most likely much shock from Glass started to bow quickly in apology. Another shock added onto that as water began to form in the air in front of her slowly forming out words "I'm so sorry I didn't see you there! I'm sorry you had to see me like that..I don't get to see many gems around here!" She says as she says with a small smile as finished the sentence.
Indeed Luna could count Gem interactions on one hand, and never had it been in her home. Realizing this darkened cavern would make it hard for the gem to read her words she slowly began to bleed out more light showing just how large this cave was, it looked like this had been the birthplace of at least two gems and one of much greater size than the other.

As Glass peered from her little nook in the wall, she saw that the stranger noticed her and that she began to regain her composure. Seeing that she had been discovered, Glass saw no real reason to try to stay hidden and moved out from behind the wall of the cave. As she did, the blue gem began to pull water from the air and use it to write out an apology. "You don't have to apologize." Glass said in her usual, quiet manner.
Because she was able to see better thanks to Luna's light, Glass could see the true size of the cave. It was rather large, but seemed to have been formed by the natural spawning of Gems that the Kindergarten was made to do. "I hope you don't mind me being here. How long have you lived here?" Glass asked, fairly certain that she was in this gem's home. "I haven't seen anyone in the Kindergarten before."
Though she preferred to stay silent, Glass didn't see herself as having much choice with what she could do here. She was intruding on someone's home, a home also filled with the bubbled remains of several gems. By the look of things, Glass's only option for escape was to befriend this gem.
At seeing the gem not attack her at being noticed calmed Luna somewhat. As she was asked if it was okay for them to be there she nodded as if to say it was fine. But her smile faded as she had asked how long Luna had been there. She blinks and rubs her chin in thought. How long had it been she had been living here? A few months...or was it years..? Time blurred with only broken gems for company. Once again she tried to recall anything past the night she had awoken trapped in her home only for a painful headache to hit her like always, it would be then Glass would notice that this mute gem had two gems not just one. One perfect and beautiful on her left palm while the other on her throat was cracked and dull even in the bright light she gave off. Putting a hand her head in pain she wrote "A while...I think.." She says taking a moment to recover before she continues "Most gems don't seem to like this place..well the monster ones do..and I find a lot of broken one scattered everywhere.." She says with a sad smile. It was then she realized she hadn't introduced herself "I am Rainbow Moonstone but you can call me Luna for short...if you like. It is truly a pleasure to meet you!" She says with a deep bow, clearly, this was a gem how knew how to show others respect.
