Name:
Peridot Olivine (Facet 7G5L, Cut 1HK)
Appeared Gender:
Very androgynous build with slight masculine features
Appeared Age:
20
Gemstone:
Olivine Peridot
Gemstone Location: On their forehead.
Faction: Homeworld
Corrupted:(Y/N) No
Appearance: Peridot Olivine looks very much like an ideal Peridot, although with a more pronounced Olive tone in her skin and gem. They try to keep their body free of any sort of distinguishing feature, giving them an overall "factory fresh" look as they strive to keep both their limb enhancers and regular uniform free from even the tiniest speck of dirt or dust, often cleaning their leg enhancers obsessively each evening to keep them clean.
Personality: Before losing contact with homeworld Olivine was an obedient and devouted gem, content with her position and with serving the diamonds and enjoying her mildy cushy job. After losing contact with homeworld Olivine has become more strict and uptight than ever, expecting nothing less than perfection from both themself and anyone else. As a result they have a very harsh and disciplinary attitude, scolding herself and others constantly for the small misgivings, going so far as reprimanding others for giving her nicknames and insisting on them calling her "Olivine" by the very least, preferring even more if they would call her by her full name, facet and cut. They can occasionally let some of their identity issues slip out, but tries to supress all of the new emotions that sprung from the cutoff by still slavishly clinging to the old gem caste system and gladly serving obediently to any homeworld authority they can find. Until that happens however, she will strive to reestablish contact with homeworld.
Likes/Dislikes: Olivine likes order and symmetry to things in general, often following steretoypes such as correcting tilted paintings, arranging things symettrically or by other attributes such as colour, numbers or such. They despise anything not fitting into the caste system, with a special hatred for fusions between different gems and even seeing same-gem fusions as a neccesary evil. They also despise messes in general and can grow quite agitated by them, which is especially problematic considering the "messy" state of earth in relation to homeworld.
Fears:
Olivines greatest fear is being stuck on earth forever, especially without any homeworld gems to guide them. They are also quite afraid of bugs and other small fauna, along with the general concept of "messes" and things being out of order. Some small part of them wishes to express their true identity however and fears their own supression of it will never give them a chance to discover it.
Weapon: Olivines summoning weapon is a simple chisel, but her limb enhancers also allow her to fire energy blasts at their
enemies. In truth, they prefer to use them to escape rather than fight.
Ability 1: Allows Olivine to remotely control almost any devices software, ranging from gem tech to modern computers. They cannot force said machines to do anything with their hardware, however. As a hypothetical example, they could not themselves move a robot arm, but they could install software to move the arm in the computer that runs the robot arm (Disclaimer: I have no idea of how robots work). This requires them to have a line of sight of said machine as well as being within at least 25 feet of the machine. They can control a maximum of three machines for a duration of five OOC posts, which increases the fewer the machines they control.
Ability 2: Olivine keeps 4 small robonoids around them almost constantly, which can perfom minor repairs and keep track of files and such. Should the need absolutely arise, these robots can also help them in combat, firing somewhat weak energy bolts that quickly drain their battery, requiring them to be used with a bit of strategy.
History: Olivine served Blue Diamond as a software expert on earth up until losing contact with homeworld. Perfoming their job loyally and admirably, they grew content with their somewhat cushy and relatively easy job
, never really questioning their identity or place in gem society as a whole. Following the loss of contact with homeworld while out on a mission to a remote transmission base, Olivine has grown distressed, seeking some way to reestablish contact and sticking to her rigid routines and rules, sometimes contemplating leaving the station to perhaps seek out other gems.
Character Arcs: This could go two ways really. Either they could find a homeworld gem and try to reestablish contact, or they could be forced to confront themselves and deal with the overwhelming freedom brought by the rebellion.
This is my first character here, so I sincerely hope I haven't goofed anything up and will be glad to try and clear up any eventual misunderstandings!
