As the hound like corruption gritted its teeth inside its five visible mouths, it feet twisted backward and formed bird-like talons and sprint worthy legs. All of its eyes twisted forward as it started to charge the fusion.
"Kell daawwuuughter!!"
As the beast approached, it raised its for arms to strike, but was apprehended by the three arms of its opponent which all emerged from one of its arm sockets.
"Not so fast, canine..."
The terquice abomination dug its clawed fingers into the dog's eyes, tearing a few out and rendering others of their ability to see.
"Freeeeeefr!"
The monster growned in anger and frustration and lept away. Thirteen meters now existed between the two fighters.
While the hound paced back and forth, the new gem looked down at a puddle of crystal clear water on the floor. Through the lens of revealing mirror, the gem saw its face.
"I... I'm so beautiful!
Tears grossly gushed from two sideways eyes that resembled those of Variscite.
With a sudden thought, the crafty fusion sprinted further from the corruption and launched its readied arrow with its large, double bladed crossbow.
Because of the strength it took to fire such an arrow as this, the projectile not only struck the beast through its head with perfect accuracy and presition, but also came at a speed and strength that was nearly imposible for a natural being to dodge or block
When the arrow entered the creature, it tore out its brain matter and continued on its straight path until it managed to tear through the trunks of seven other trees and stick in a now split open rock.
"EEEEEKKKK!"
The corruption let out an ear splitting shriek and produced several dozen glowing spines. The spickes were wide and colored red and purple. The beast sprinted while it launched the spines from its back as projectiles resembling shards of glass, not deterred from the arrow launch because its gem was safe. The corruption added an extra spine to cover up its gem and shield it from attacks. What an intelligent creature! However, its adversary was sharp too.
The nimble fusion lunched to avoid a volley spikes and readied a second arrow. As the fifteen foot tall freak constantly evaded projectiles, it began to close distance between itself and the canine. Would a shot from point blank shatter both that protective spine and the gem at once I wonder.
