(This is going to be a solo post/story just to help me flesh Prasiolite and her backstory out a little. I do have an end goal in mind, but there's going to be a few 'hitches' along the way.)
Echoes of the past ripple throughout Earth’s Beta kindergarten, and few would have the decency to view the place as anything other than a failure. Perhaps the strangest thing about the sandstone kindergarten was the randomness of the holes; each one unevenly spaced and with varying depth. Any gem made without a defect had to have been incredibly lucky. Aside from the strange and, to some, disgusting holes, the Injectors dotted across the walls of the beta kindergarten were only second best.
For years, the Beta kindergarten has lay still and empty, with the only visitors being the odd gem or corruption every few months. In the dead of night, however, the walls along the Kindergarten are illuminated with the bright light of the warp pad. As the light fades away, a tall, green quartz stands still, taking in the sights of her birthplace once again. As she walks down the stairs leading away from the warp and down onto the ground, her gem begins to glow; the green hue of light shining across each uneven, asymmetrical hole.
“I've got to find my hole.” She says to herself, her words bouncing across the cavern.

As Prasiolite scours the cavern searching endlessly for her birth place, the sounds of poor creatures that had used to be gems haunt the chambers. The screams, howls and growls reverberate along the curved walls of the Kindergarten. Dragging her arm along the red sandstone, she looks into every hole she can see; even those high off from the ground that she can only reach after jabbing her weapon into the wall and climbing it. Although the minutes she'd anticipated her task to take soon turn into hours, Prasiloite continues to search for her birth hole. Nothing.
Upon entering a rather large chamber in the Kindergarten, however, she begins to recognise marks on the walls and floor. "This is where we rallied! It's got to be near here." As she began to regain hope towards finding her hole, the screams and squeals of gems gone bad began to grow louder, and seemed to be moving closer. Expecting an attack, she had intended to stay quiet, but after accidentally knocking over an injector when attempting to climb up to a hole off the g round and hide, her plans were thrown out if the window. With little time to prepare, Prasiolite could only ready her stance and arm herself for an incoming attack.
As she had anticipated, the mindless creatures made from damaged gems were soon upon her...

(Using this account so that I can differentiate between the corrupted gem's actions and my own when I come back and look at this thread in the future. It's going to be for nothing other than writing the actions of the corrupted gems.)
...And before long three mindless creatures made entirely of instincts and fight or flight reflexes quickly dashed towards Prasiolite. One of the corrupted gems dives straight towards her, and it's jaws become tightly clamped onto her arm. Snarling, the gem pushes Prasiolite backwards, forcing her into a hole too small for her to fit in, yet the strength of the corruption packed her into it. Her powerful stance did little to protect her against the creature, and she had become disarmed in the commotion. Her weapon had slid along the sandstone floor of the Kindergarten after she had dropped it, giving her a disadvantage over the creature.
The final two gems prepared themselves for a fight too, however they readied up in a much less violent way. A dark green, large, jelly-like creature climbs the wall above the hole Prasiolite had been forcefully pushed into waiting for her to exit, the other - a large, Axolotl looking creature with burgundy skin and light pink crystal spines protruding from it's cheeks - begins to spew a sticky, black, mucus like liquid along the floor around the hole and Prasiolite's current attacker.
"Damn. You look tough." Prasiolite remarks, face to face with her attacker. As she's forced backwards and shoved into a gem-made incision in the Red Sandstone, Prasiolite begins to look for a way out of her predicament. In an attempt to widen the small divet, Prasiolite forces her arms away from her body but to no avail. Even though its a 'soft rock', the sandstone refuses to move. Since the gap is too tight for Prasiolite to summon her weapon, she decides upon a different tactic. After putting her arms close to her body, she allows herself to fall backwards into the hole. Almost lying down, she then kicks out her feet, forcing the corrupted Quartz gem back against another wall.
After detatching the creature from her arm, Prasiolite proceeds to exit the hole. Shortly after getting out, she summons her weapon and dashes over towards the gem, only to get herself stuck in the thick, tar-like mucus secreted by the Axolotl monster. As all three gems begin to close in on her, Prasiolite panics and throws her weapon at the easiest target which just so happened to be the Water bear creature.

The quartz corruption squeals as it is thrown against the hard wall; rocks and rubble from above crash down on her, yet she simply shakes her body and ignores them. Now even more enraged by Prasiolite, the creature howls at the sky and then charges at her. Like her enemy, the Quartz becomes stuck in her 'comrade's' secretions but manages to get to Prasiolite with getting one of her four appendages trapped. Within arms length of Prasiolite, the monster growls and repeatedly slashes at the demolitionist with her free claw, causing a considerable amount of damage to her hard light form.
The other two gems continue to bide their time until they get a chance to fight. By now, The large Axolotl creature has encircled Prasiolite, walking on it's own tar like as if it was walking on grass. It reaches her, yet chooses to watch as she battles what used to be a Quartz soldier. Amongst the chaos, the stray screwdriver Prasiolite had launched at the Water bear had become lodged in it's back, sending it plummeting towards the ground. As it hit the ground, the creature screeched in pain and trembled as it stood up. Now seeming more fearful than aggressive, the monster begins to whimper and run along the wall; Prasiolite's screwdriver still lodged in it's back.

Panicked due to the monstrous figure looming over her and tearing away at her hard light form, Prasiolite begins to become irrational. At this point she'd usually summon her weapon and turn it horizontal in an attempt to block her attacker's movements. Due to her legs and therefore her gem being trapped in a tar-like substance, she was unable to summon her weapon. Knowing this after trying to free her leg from the secretions, she decided to use her brute strength instead. In an attempt to destabilise the corruption's form, she continually punched the gem wherever she could. First, she hit it in the jaw with an uppercut, dealing a considerable amount of damage and perplexing the beast. Following this, she grabbed the arm which had been clawing at her and put forced it down into the tar. With the creature immobilised, she was able to grab it's gem which had happened to be on her thigh. Pulling at it, Prasiolite was able to remove it from the creature's hard light body; causing it to dissipate into smoke as the corruption retreated into her gem.
Pumped up, Prasiolite shouted "Who's next?!" as she dropped the gem of what used to be a quartz soldier onto the tar.

It would seem that the Axolotl creature would next take a stab at taking down Prasiolite. By now, the water bear creature had ran away from the fight in fear of being destabilised and the Axolotl creature had crept along it's secretions and was upon Prasiolite. But tar-spitting was not it's only trick. Due to having no sharp appendages unlike it's predecessor, the creature had to make use of it's other biological weapons. After getting closer to her, the monster shook it's kneck, sending the long red crystals from it's cheeks flying quickly and directly towards Prasiolite. It then moved closer to her and latched onto her arm in exactly the same place as the Quartz corruption had before. Snarling and looking her directly in the eyes, anyone would be able to tell that it was ready to fight.

As the monster launched crystals at her, Prasiolite had trouble dodging most of them. Six crystals came flying at her from the neck of the beast, yet she was only able to dodge 4 of them. The remaining two projectiles became lodged in her body; one of which became stuck in her right calf, while the other embedded itself into her shoulder. She winced in pain, and it was only amplified by the creature fixing itself onto her arm. Not knowing what to do, she attempted to punch the creature off of her body multiple times as before, but this time the creature did not let up nor let go. Trying to think of a different way to poof the monster, she decided to use it's own tactics against it. Screaming in pain, she pulled the long red crystals from her hard-light body and jabbed both of them into the creature's sides. Screeching, the creature winced as it retreated back into it's body; her body, tar, and crystal projectiles all disappearing into a red-tinted puff of smoke.
Prasiolite then smiled, and picked the monsters' Gemstones up from the floor. Bubbling them, she ran her hands over her wounded arm and shoulder. She was still in a lot of pain, but the determination to find her hole and complete her goal stopped her from heading back home to the Temple. Bubbling the corruptions and sending them off, she pressed on.
Once again trudging past a numerous number of holes, Prasiolite was forced to endure the pain coursing through her hard light body. On the verge of retreating back into her gem in order to 'sleep off the pain', she picked up the pace a little in order to return to a safe space. After another hour of searching the chasm in which her squadron had once rallied, she'd prepared to head home, however after finding a hole that she fit into exactly, she came to the conclusion that it was her hole. Elated, she laughed and smiled, and then summoned a small version of her weapon. Moving straight to the back of her hole, she used her weapon to inscribe a message in native gem language:
"To Peridot of Facet-3J5X Cut-4KM:
I made it! I got down to earth, like you told me too!
I have good news too, the rebellion is alive and well. They inducted me in, and I've since met the 'leader' - a strong, free, green lady who cares about the earth a lot more than I ever did. But I learned that there is a lot more to fight for than just myself. The earth is beautiful, and if you get here and see this message then you'll understand. There isn't a lot of space here, at the back of my hole, so I've got to keep it short, but if you ever need to find me or the rebels, the temple is in facet 5. I'll be waiting for you.
In a hurry to get back home so as not to get caught off guard and get poofed, Prasiolite quickly backs out of the hole and rushes towards the warp pad. Holding her arms out, light once again lit up the beta kindergarten as she warped away towards The Temple; leaving her message and the rubble from her battle behind.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
