Embellishment is the backbone of all writing, remembering that your writing a story with the other person, not just stating what is occurring. 120 is on the lower echelon of word limits for sites and is generally fairly easy to do. Its something you do learn over time though.
But yeah there is plenty to elaborate on with "They got back up and tried to punch the other in the face" as a example,
How did you get up? Was the earth disturbed but it? Did you linger for a moment? Did you get up slowly or pounce up with energy? What are your thoughts on what has occurred? Do you say something while getting up? Any noticeable injuries from falling down? Do you summon a weapon?
How did you punch, What hand did you use? How was the rest of your body braced? Was it a sweeping Strike?A fast jab? A winding Upper cut? Was it calculated? Did you lurch forward letting instincts carry you? Was it a diving leap? How far away where you from them? Are you using your weapon for the attack? What is your plan after this attack? How are you preparing for that?
As i tend to state, Paint me a picture with your words "They got back up and tried to punch the other in the face" is all well and good but it does not fill my mind with a powerful image of 'a fallen gem dragging their body back up,a red mark left from the previous impact, their weapon scraps along the ground as their right hand clutches onto it willing themselves to force the weapon back up into a poised position. A grim look of determination fills their fast as Dust kicks off, their feet leave the ground they pounce forward their body twisting as their left fist swings intending to hit a sweeping strike against their enemies head, trying to throw off the other gem by having their right hand lay idle with the weapon, placing all their force and impact into that singular left hand hook. Nothing else registered in their mind but the battle, the surrounding seemed to fade and their own thoughts had quietened filled only with strategies for the fight and developed instincts through years of combat training take over and lead them to victory. Now was the time for action, whether it ended in a single punch, or a long and drawn out battle." (" to " 196 Words).
