Name: Chrysolite
Gem: Chrysolite, Trapezium
Gemstone location: Left cheek
Gender: None/female
Age: Whatever Peridot is meant to be (Actual age: 150-200 years)
Corrupted: No
Appearance:
Chrysolite is a short Peridot looking Gem, with a few differences. She has very light chestnut coloured hair, in the shape of her gem, albeit with a small slope at the top. Her skin is a light yellow green, adorned with a dark green Homeworld uniform, noticeably darker than Peridot's. She wears a small, tinted, V-shaped visor tucked into the sides of her hair.
The most noticeable thing about this Gem is the fact that she has 6 sets of touch stumps, probably should have mentioned that earlier. Chrysolite is about 1.2 m tall (4 feet) and looks about as sturdy as a tower made of uncooked spaghetti.
Personality:
Chrysolite is a very happy-go-lucky Gem. Being very excitable, she is very quick to form an attachment. She hates being inactive and loves to move, and never wants to stop. While she may be initially shy when meeting a new Gem, especially if they are a large Gem, but when she does open up and start talking, it's hard to get her to stop. However, if given a puzzle, gizmo or interactive toy, Chrysolite could be silent for hours, if the puzzle is hard enough.
Despite being astronomically good at fixing things with incredible speeds, she may come off as a little dim witted. This is not because she is unintelligent, far from it but she is often ignorant and has very little sense of personal space. She will happily barge into something important to update her fellow Gems on sometimes even the littlest change. Chrysolite is more than happy to try new things, even if she isn't meant to.
While she is a bit of a chatter box, eventually she learns to keep her gob shut when something serious is going on.
Likes:
Puzzles
Games
Fixing things
Attempting to be funny or witty
Octopuses
Dislikes:
Easy repetitive tasks
Scary/Angry Gems
Homeworld
Fears:
Being caught by Homeworld, to either be punished for treason or worse still, being brought back into her old job
Weapon:
Chrysolite has a small screwdriver with a bladed edge for each hand, these are good for fixing uses, but she could defend herself by shiving the other Gem repeatedly, the key word is could as this is assuming that the enemy doesn't rip her limb from limb before then. One part of her weapon and hexamaual nature, that it carries out into her fusions, aka if she fused with a ruby, its fusion would have six arms and 6 slightly modified ruby weapons.
Ability 1: Multitasking
Being that Chrysolites were meant to do easy repetitive tasks very quickly, they were given the ability to focus on many things at once. So this means she could fix 3 devices at the one time, however, this would lower the quality of the finished product and she prefers to use all her hands to fix rather than just 2. This also means that because she is ambidextrous (in all her hands) she could theoretically write 6 different things at once, however, the writing would be a little messy and might not make much sense, but she could write 4 with ease.
In other uses, she could focus on many parts of an event at once, making sure she takes the whole scene in, no surprises.
Ability 2: Emotion sharing
As the change from the factory to the office began, many complaints were filed that some Chrysolites could be a bit rowdy as they weren't used to directly taking orders or changing what they are doing midway through doing it, so the later Chrysolites were given the ability to sense the emotions of others. It lets them know how someone is feeling and to a lesser extent projects that emotion onto Chrysolite. This was to let them know when their Boss is displeased and when their work is sub par.
This could give Chrysolite a lie detecting ability at its most basic. or example, if someone says that everything was fine today, but in actuality their dog died, Chrysolite could tell their untruthfulness through their emotion. This, however, is unreliable at best and is completely bypassed if the gem in question is lying out of malicious intent rather than emotion. This is organised lightly though either Pm or mentioned in the other gems post.
Fusions: None
History:
Chrysolites are part of the Peridot Gem family, however, their role is a little less respected than the engineers. With their 6 arms, they are very quickly able to fix small electronics. They are many more times faster at fixing than Peridots, but they only do simple tasks. They originally were made to work as a fast repairer, quickly fixing problems on ships, eventually they were demoted to factory work, making endless amounts of small devices, eventually, that too was taken from them as Gem machines replaced them. They became secretaries for business Gems, arguably lower than Pearls as Pearls are owned by the rich and influential, while Chrysolites work for whoever's job requires one. Our Chrysolite worked for a short time in the factories, just as they were being ushered into office jobs.
She heard the stories of brave Chrysolites fixing machinery as a battle roared around them, finishing just in time to save their comrades. 100 years go by and Chrysolite couldn't stand it anymore, her life seemed meaningless. One day she dared to escape. She stole her boss's ship and quickly smashed in the coordinates for earth, one of the colonies that her colleges allegedly fought at.
Arcs:
Lands on earth to discover friends and foes
Finds her unique fusion capabilities
Desires to be inventive like a Peridot, struggles but eventually finds more to herself
Becomes addicted to using her emotion ability to make herself happy, may lead to corruption
Fear me! I am a superior hexamaual!
