"Ah yes, in a few short moment's we'll be pulling into the hanger," She gave a nod and a smirk, then leaned back in her chair as the auto launch sequence began. The whir of the engine built up, until the world outside of the ship's view pane began to fall away. The vessel coasted gently out of the thicket, locked onto the location of the moon. Padparadscha watched listlessly as the Earth became smaller below, while they rose higher into the blue haze of the sky. It was a sight she'd seen many times, and one that dazzled her less now than it did in the first years of her dispatch to the colony. Still, there was something brilliant about looking across the vast tracts of Pink Diamond's planet.
Sunlight glinted around the sphere of Earth as the ship bolted up through the atmosphere, leaving it behind in the dark of space. The moon came closer and the engines slowed just in time for the ship to glide around its surface for a few quiet moments as it searched for the docks. The wide open mouth of the hanger came into view, ships going to and fro as the pink vessel lowered itself into the moonbase. It floated along the main alley, until it came to a spot closer to the door, and parked itself perfectly within the lines. "Got to love these auto mechanisms," She laughed, then swiveled around to look at Pink Sapphire.
"Welcome to Headquarters, your clarity," She echoed the words that she'd first heard when she stepped foot in this hanger. With a smirk, she stood, and waited for the ship's engines to cool down before opening the hatch. Then, she glided down the ramp, and waited at its base for the other sapphire.
