The Sky Temple had once been a place of peace and knowledge for gemkind-- now it laid in ruins, and it was rumored that traitors often communed here. She'd never seen it in its hay-day, but she could imagine how beautiful it must've once been as her eyes traced the massive temple, suspended in the air like a delicate, ancient chandelier. Her legs were worn from the climb up, so she took a moment to sit in the grass, and appreciate the sight as the sun pulled itself over the horizon, washing the landscape with a fiery warm hue.
She'd parked her ship at the base of the mountain and hidden it away to prevent its highly visible hull from being spotted, before she'd hiked her way up. Like many missions before this one, she'd opted to come alone. This was a more covert mission, it would be compromising to walk around surrounded by a bunch of rowdy soldiers or a pearl who-- as much as Padparadscha adored her-- tended to be clumsy. Still, she didn't know what kind of predicaments she might face here. She remembered the words of a certain defender she'd once met, who'd warned her against waltzing around Earth without someone to back her up. Then, she glanced down at her communicator, and remembered that gem's offer.
Chip was, perhaps, small for his cut-- but carried a lot of fire-power, and his capability of flight sounded quite useful for this endeavor. His size would come as an advantage for a covert mission, as would his experience as an apprentice under an assassin like Morion. She wondered if it were appropriate for her to suddenly call on the Protector of Empire City for help-- especially since she still felt she owed him for last time.
Despite her doubts, she opened her comm and dialed the coordinates of Chip's."This is Padparadscha-- are you busy now, Chip the Fire Opal?"
