The beach was a serene place. Many people visit it for quiet relaxation at the seashore. Some are here for surfing. Others are here to fish. The humans were at peace. No doubt, the faltering summer breeze only strengthened the calm atmosphere. The wind was very quiet during this time of the day. Only ever so often, the wind chimes rang across the beach with stronger air currents.
It didn't take long and the quiet breeze turned into an out-right storm, forcing the humans to scatter into their little houses at the boardwalk. Strange; the forecast never mentioned a storm during this week. Not even a cloudy sky. Regardless, it was storming outside. The azure heavens grew black and the sea went wild. Waves started ramming the shoreline. They were relentless. The quiet breeze turned into a terrible hurricane and blasted the wind chimes with an agonizing symphony. Worst of all, rain started assaulting the shore. Not one of water though. No. It was a rain of solid ice. In middle of the summer, no less. Surely, somebody would notice this discord sooner or later. Somebody that knew this weather isn't natural to Earth.
Before anyone could appear though, an odd, rectangular case made planetfall. The pod was steaming and hot to the touch. It must have crashed from the outer space. Perhaps it is also the reason behind this strange weather. Another idea suddenly crossed the mind; somebody must be inside.
Bloodstone had been in the middle of training by themselves when they couldn't help but notice the weather patterns.
"What the...this makes no sense."
The berserker walked outside, feeling themselves being hit by the icy rain. Even if Bloodstone didn't know a lot about weather, she knew enough that the Earth normally didn't have ice in the "summer" as they called it. Bloodstone would walk down the beach, through the pelting storm until she caught sight of the giant case..pod...whatever it was.
She walked up to it, keeping two of her chains out in the event that someone or..well, something came out that wasn't exactly friendly. Considering the odds that this pod was from Homeworld, Bloodstone was taking up the opinion that she might have some trouble on her hands

The weather patterns did not seem to match up at all. That's what Obsidian thought from the safety of her ship, she looked at the monitor, her hands rested by her armchair. Normally this would've piqued the interest of Obsidian but from her automaton readings, there was a gem inside of the pod. "...hmrmm" she sighed, the expression of boredom was written all over her face.
She had sent her automatons to spy on Bloodstone to receive more data on her. She moved her right hand over the command console just in case she needed to send in her Stelleria drones to subdue any opposing force. She returned her gaze at the monitor. This possible new gem could be a useful pawn in her own plan, she quickly ordered her automatons to stand-by and let the bloodstone initiate with this newcomer first.
Soon enough, the pod opened up. The only entry from and into the pod was a door shaped very much like a diamond. A bright flash of light escaped from within, illuminating the entire beach for the time being. Slowly, a tall, lanky figure formed inside of the contraption. Bland and without a face, the figure stepped out of the capsule. Its movements were akin to those of a ghost. It looked around. Noticing Bloodstone, it lowered its head so that the both of them could see eye to eye. That is if that thing even had an eye. But it didn't. Instead, a single purple gemstone was sitting in the middle.
And then it just kept staring. Not moving, not talking; not even flinching.
Bloodstone looked up and then..backed up, looking a bit nervous at the tall figure.
"Um...hello there...who are you supposed to be?"
Blood wasn't sure what to interpret this big...gem as. It was something they had never seen before. It looked like one of the drones but different. Bloodstone walked closer, still keeping the chains close at hand in the event of the attack. She just kept staring at the figures eye, finding it a bit difficult to look away but at the same time getting absolutely creeped out by this new gem
"If you're not gonna say something then..at least make clear what your purpose is. I need to figure out just what the heck you are.."

It was a rather creepy looking gem that had exited out from the pod. Bloodstone was making a fool out of herself, asking a gem to tell what they are doing when they have no visible mouth to speak. "Clearly she has low IQ, make a note out of that." she mumbled as she wrote that note in her head. The gem had not bothered to move at all, it was silently watching bloodstone. It was unsettling how perfectly still the gem was despite landing on earth like a meteorite. Obsidian waited, she won't be the gem who makes the first move, no, she isn't that type of gem.
The automaton simply stood back from the situation, awaiting further orders from Obsidian until further notice.
Bloodstone's endeavors were in vain; the being didn't reply to a single one of his questions. It was like talking to a brick wall. Except for the fact this brick wall looked dangerous and clearly from Homeworld. It's not a hard assumption to draw. After all, it sported the traditional Homeworld V-neck; one with the logo of White Diamond, no less.
Suddenly, it broke the silence. Not with words though, no. A dazzling beam of light blinded the entire beach for a split second. Almost as if it was taking a photo; or maybe it was scanning the environment. One could only wonder what transpires beneath that quiet, faceless mask. Probably nothing good.
Then, the gem moved. It didn't walk, nor did it make a single step. It simply extended its arm towards the direction of Obsidian's drone. It was pointing at it; its fingers razor-sharp and glowing with an indigo hue. Suddenly, they grew longer; way longer. At this point, they almost looked like weapons. Dangerous and deadly weapons.
Bloodstone took note of the Homeworld logo then winced a little when the beam of light came out, covering her eyes for the brief second it appeared.
"Gah..wait, what are you..?"
She turned her attention to the where the being had been pointing, and got more of a surprise to see Obsidian's drone..as well as the razor-sharp and..deadly looking fingers that Bloodstone should probably stay out of the way of if she valued her safety
"Okay well erm...I think I already see where this is going so...Im going to let you take care of this. I'll just stand back here and watch."
Blood backed up nervously, keeping her chains ready but deciding to let this new...gem, take care of the uninvited guest

The mute gem had taken notice of her own drones. Impressive, and by the looks of it that mute gem is ready to attack her drones. What will she do? Order them to back off and try to comply with a nice gesture? Obsidian had ordered her stelleria drones along to back up her automaton's. She ordered one of the automatons to present itself to the mute gem.
"Hello!" Obsidian voice ranged from the floating robot speaker. "Do not worry, I am not here to harm either of you, I was near the neighborhood and I wanted to see what was going on!" behind the speaker, Obsidian was trying her best not to barf from being nice to these gems. "We bring you no harm!"
The gem lowered its arm for the moment. Appearing passive at first. It tilted its head towards the drones; it was curious. Suddenly, its gemstone flashed and started glowing. It opened up a monitor and a graphical display of soundwaves. They vibrated for a while, making no noise at all. It almost looked like the creepy gem was editing Obsidian's own words, trying to form something out of them.
Then it sounded for the first time; In Obsidian's voice no less.
"W-W-Worry, I a-a-am here to harm *static* either of you! - We bring you-u-u ha-ha-rm!"
It yelled out across the beach loudly. Not talking in a voice of its own, it merely edited the scientist's words. Truth to be told, now they were more fitting to the true nature of the uninvited guest. A smiley face formed on the display before it closed down.
Moments later, a loud flash of light trashed one of the drones to smithereens; the one greeting the Gems. After the drone laid motionless on the ground, it appeared that the beam of light was shot from Rubellite's gemstone.
Bloodstone's eyes widened in surprise at the..well, quite frankly disturbing manner that this gem was acting.
"Okay, so..you can't actually talk..probably." Blood was trying to figure out what to make of them but the whole bringing harm line didn't exactly comfort them any
"Is there any chance you can identify yourself? Have a name or..identification numbers at least? Facets?"
Bloodstone was trying to name off anything that she could think of, keeping in mind that they were likely in the presence of one of the tougher gems from Homeworld but..well, it's best to at least get to know your enemy before they try to kill you, right?
"I-I'm not gonna hurt you...unless you try to attack me next then..well that changes things."
Blood looked over at the other drone Obsidian had sent, wondering if that one was gonna get destroyed next

"...Do not test me, recorder" she hissed, slamming her fist on the armrest. Obsidian felt that she was being made a mockery of, she did not appreciate this kindly, Obsidian decided to give this gem one more chance before she attacks it.
She had sent in another automaton, her voice changed to her natural tone. One that reeked of ego, superiority, and hate "Do not think of me of some pushover, last warning. I am here to provide peace with you unless you want conflict..then that'll be the first mistake you did on arriving on this planet."
The stelleria drones were nearby now, ready to act on Obsidian command. The new variant of stelleria drones included energy blasters and crude melee weapons replacing one of each stelleria hands.
The eerie entity turned from the drones to Bloodstone. It pointed at the talking armed automaton in the background. If it had a face, it would be just as stone-cold and expressionless as its current self. Seeing itself outnumbered, the mysterious gem simply opted to scan the drones with a beam of light.
Following that, it projected an entire dashboard from within its gemstone. It's UI appeared to be distinctly Homeworld, featuring many sharp edges and a crystalline structure. The mysterious gem started shuffling some files on the dashboard. It was completely ignorant to anything and all Obsidian said.
Another beam of light soon followed after the creature turned its head to the blackened heavens. It flashed into the skies for but a moment. Maybe it sent forward a message to Homeworld. If so; the contents of the light-coded, light-fast message must be regarding the peculiar devices scanned earlier.
"You know um...if you wanted..I could help you out with the drones. Temporary alliance and all. Then we can get back to you possibly deciding whether or not you'd kill me."
Bloodstone looked a bit nervous, not entirely sure which side to take. Although frankly considering what happened the last time that she tangled with Obsidians drones, she'd rather be an ally with the likely killing machine instead of the smaller, still dangerous but easier to take out drones
"Or if not um..you can just...do your scanning and..I can just be on my way. Your choice, not mine"
Blood honestly had no preference as to what happened. The less bodily harm that came her way the better.

Obsidian gritted her teeth, the gem ignoring her was sure enough a way to push Obsidian temper. Before she would command her automatons to attack the gem did something rather strange... The gem first scanned the automatons before attacking or preparing itself for a defense move. Could it be that this gem is recording this event or maybe scanning the drones that are about to attack her and report them to the Diamonds...
If the Diamonds were to see this attack then It'll be used against her when she is put to trial. "Damn it!" she slammed her fist on the armrest once more. "Retreat automatons!" the floating drones soon left the scene, leaving the stelleria drones behind. Obsidian knew that Homeworld is familiar to the type of automaton she had made, therefore she couldn't use them to attack this gem. She had to use her Stlleria drones to attack her, no one knows or has even seen Obsidian making these gems. With this idea, she could be safe from this gem antics.
"So that's the kind of game you want to play huh?" The stelleria drones marched forward to the duo of gems, weapons ready.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.

*The "corruption" is being treated like a virus due to lack of info about it on the show.
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
