Opalite had wandered what she could of the earth in search of her friend after being separated. She searched and searched for two and a half weeks with no luck, and no help. She was afraid she would never see her companion again. Her luck may finally have a turn for the better as she wandered into an old human settlement and looked around, she was of course oblivious to the other gem who resides her, she had no idea that she may be intruding. But she looked around in search of her friend, looking around in every spot that was concealed from view. In hope that she would find the gem that she care the most about, the gem she loved.
Amber sighed in defeat as yet again another healing experiment failed. The Corrupted Gem only hissed and clawed at the wall, smarting only slightly. Amber looked down at the syringe in her hand. No cure for this disease yet. She walked with her shoulders slumped to the outside of the holding cell before re-activating the plasma barriers that shielded the world from the monster within and shielded the monster within from the world. Amber washed out the syringe and placed it in a safe place. Rubbing the back of her neck, she took inventory of what she had. She would need more of some certain materials if she wanted to make more serums. Honestly, this line of work would probably be better suited for a Calcite or a Unakite, or any healthcare Gem that's of a higher tier than a common healing Gem like her.
Or, more accurately, a defect of a common healing Gem like her.
Amber wondered if Rose Quartz ever did something like this. That treacherous rebel that caused all this... Did Rose Quartz ever heal any Corrupted Gems? Was it even possible to heal a Corrupted? Rose's fountain was for normal Gems- or was it?
The idea never occurred to Amber until now that Rose's Tears could be used to help. She was of a stronger healing class, after all. And if it could help cracked Gems....
She gathered a some vials and stuffed them in a small satchel. Slipping the satchel over her shoulder, she made her way out of the holding and testing facility with a new focus in mind.
The Glass City was as beautiful as it had always been. Most buildings of the abandoned settlement was made from Gem-produced rainbow glass that reflected sunlight, illuminating the city in a beautiful vibrant glow and gave it a sort of futuristic heavenly feel. The giant spire in the middle of the city was the settlement's tallest building and was like a giant obelisk reaching towards the cosmos -the city's pride and joy should it have had any Gems that actually stayed to live here. Too bad it was being used by a one small defective Amber for holding the Corrupted.
Amber looked up to see a figure in the distance. She froze and tensed up. Hardly anyone came by the Glass City besides Obsidian or other M-Tower agents. As the figure got closer, Amber could see that she was neither of those -or, at the very least, from the cast she recognized. She didn't appear to be Corrupted though. Still.. she was a stranger intruding on a vital operation.
The small healing Gem approached Opalite, "Excuse me, but can you state your business here?"
Opalite jumped at the sound of Amber's voice and turned to face her. "I-I'm looking for someone, I thought she might be here." Opalite said and turned her head to look at the buildings that surrounded them, if Bluegold was here, she wouldn't be out in the open, and there were a lot of buildings that Opalite would have to search if she were to find her companion. Though most of her searches had turned out unsuccessful it was highly likely that the gem she was looking for was not here.
She turned her attention back to the gem who now stood in front of her. "Do you think you can help me find her?" Opalite asked with hope, she was sure that two sets of eyes were better than one, and now she had no choice but to trust the first gem she had met since her and Bluegold got separated. She turned her back to the amber as she heard a noise behind her, this showed the large gold star that adorned her back.
"Missing someone? I guess I can-" Amber abruptly cut herself off upon seeing the Crystal Gem signia on Opalite's back. Her stomach felt tight as unease settled in her body. A rebel. She frowned deeply, but told herself that Opalite should be treated like any other Gem: just another Gem, just another patient, regardless of alignment. She shifted on her feet uneasily, but gave Opalite and affirmative nod. "I can attempt. Who are you looking for? I can't say I've seen very many Gems lately, and if it's to help the deeds of your faction," she said this word with distaste. "Then I won't."
But pity and sympathy poked at Amber. This Opalite was alone and probably scared. Looking behind her at the spire in the middle of the settlement, Amber frowned. She knew what it felt like to work alone. She knew what it felt like to be separated from all you know. Sighing, she looked back at Opalite when the mysterious noise was heard. "We should head inside. Sometimes there's things here that go 'bump in the night'. Plus you're probably worn from travelling; I'll give you a check over and a place to rest."
"She's a Blue Goldstone, I don't wish to find her for the rebellion, I only want to find her because I care about her." Opalite said then looked around again hoping to see her friend's dark blue color. But to no avail she turned back to look at the other gem. She awaited instruction, but with Amber's warning, Opalite trembled lightly and nodded, she wanted to get somewhere safe and away from danger for once. She looked around anxiously hoping that nothing dangerous was close by, she had had enough of the dangerous things over the last while, and she planned to steer clear of danger for a while. "Thank you for helping me, I appreciate it." Opalite said and continued examining the environment.

"It's not problem," Amber nodded. "I mean, it's kinda my job to help Gems, right?" She chuckled a bit before her expression turned serious. "I should tell you, I'm using this place as a holding ground for the Corrupted. Don't worry, they're all contained behind reinforced plasma cells; no one can get in or out without getting hurt." She looked at Opalite and noted her anxious fretting. She smiled softly at her, "Everything will be okay. I'll help you look for your friend and you'll be back with her in no time. There's a small communication channel in the upper levels of the spire. Maybe, if we're lucky, we can get in contact with your friend. Does she have anything on her we can track?"
Opalite nodded. "She should have a holo-tablet..." Opalite didn't seem to mention the fact that the item was stolen in an attempt to get plans for a ship they could commandeer later on. She then began thinking to herself about what might happen if she were to tell about the fact that they stole a holo-tablet, with plans to steal a ship. So she stayed silent and awaited any other words that may need to be said before they retreated to safety. She only kept looking around anxiously as she was sure that staying out where theywere would attract the attention of something that would be unpleasant to encounter. "Maybe it would be alright if we went somewhere a little safer now?" Opalite asked nervously.

"Hm?" Amber looked at her curiously, then chuckled softly. "Don't worry. The only other Gem here is me. As said, the Corrupted are behind reinforced plasma cells. I've been doing this work for well a little over an Earth year now. It's fine."
She led Opalite to the spire and up on one of the upper levels. There in the room was a small little communication hub. Amber approached it and flipped some switches and blipped some buttons. There was a little static on the channel receiver, but then the hissing static silenced as the rest of the systems turned online. "Just input the IP code of the holo-tablet and direct the hub's channel frequency to it," Amber nodded. "With luck, your Bluegold may be able to pick it up." She smiled once again at the Opalite, sensing her unease and hoping to calm her down. "If this doesn't work, I have some maps. They're a little out-dated, but still give a near-accurate depiction of the land's layout. We could use those to guesstimate where she could be."
Her thoughts then turned to Bluegold's well-being. As a healing Gem, it was natural for her to prepare for the worst. What if she was in trouble, or sustained enough damage to be poofed or cracked? She tried not to let her thoughts and worries show to Opalite; with how attached Gems can be towards each other, it's best not to overstress more than one patient.
Opalite nodded and approached the console before bringing her hands out to type in the IP of their stolen holo-tablet. "2-5.5.2-2-7.7-9" She quietly recited the numbers that she had began typing in. Before long she submitted the combination of numbers and waited for the console to pick up the tablet and show her the location. The location finally popped up on screen. Opalite was struck with fear as she realized where these coordinates were. "The beta kindergarten... That's where it says Blue is." Opalite said quietly as she backed away from the console slowly. Then she began thinking and her face lit up. "Of course! She went to the beta kindergarten! She found me the first time in a kindergarten! It makes sense as to why she's there!" Her face had the look of pure excitement as she turned to look at Amber. "Thank you so much!"

"Not a problem!" Amber smiled, relieved that they had figured out the location of Opalite's friend. Though soon concern spread into her eyes. "Any Gem in that Kindergarten has to be careful, though." There was a hiss from one of the imprisoned corrupted Gems downstairs, serving as a reminder as to how dangerous Earth had become. "It's where the Corruption started, after all. It's very risky having a presence there solo. I'll accompany you, if you'd like. Blue may or may not be in trouble, and there's always safety in numbers."
Amber walked over to the wall where a bag was hung holding small rectangular devices. She picked one out and approached the console, where she inserted the device into the computer. Typing away, she downloaded the information onto the small tablet-like device, and it wasn't long before she ejected the device and turned smiling at Opalite. "We can take this with us to help keep track of her and her movements -just so long as she has that holo-tablet, of course."
"Yeah, we encountered a bunch of those corrupted gems in the other kindergarten. She was poofed by them and I barely made it out." Opalite said and watched the other gem walk around. She nodded at Amber's words, describing the tracker. "It's been so long since we saw each other, last." She bounced up and down slightly with excitement and glee, she finally got to see the gem she had searched for over the last while. She finally launched herself into the air, feathered wings made of light sprouted from her back as she fluttered around the space of the room with glee. She did a few flips and spins before landing back down, her wings still spread out like that an angel's.

Amber giggled as she watched Opalite flutter gleefully around the room. Ah, this Opalite possessed the capability of flight, eh? That seemed relieving, as Amber, too, had flight abilities. It allowed for faster travel, which means reaching Bluegold would be quicker. The sooner the two were reunited, the better -in that way, the two can have each other and Amber can get back to her experiments.
"Come, we can't waste anymore time!" Amber smiled back over her shoulder as she made her way towards the stairs. She blipped some things on the tablet screen. There was then a small beeping noise coming from the device -a steady activated track, showing Bluegold's location as indicated by a blinking white dot. "You ready?"
Opalite nodded and followed quickly she didn't WANT to waste any more time, she wanted to see Bluegold more than anything in the world. As they walked down the stairs, Opalite could barely stop smiling, she was so excited, she would fly to the end of the earth and back for Bluegold, and she had nearly done that, if it hadn't been for Amber then she would have been stuck searching, probably for years to come, and still, in the end, have no luck. "There has to be something I can do to pay you back for helping me find Blue. It means the world to me!" Opalite said happily, attempting t find a way to repay the other gem's generosity.
Melody: "The fight system of this site is really Ehh..." Well... how would you improve it? ^^
Oct 14, 2019 17:53:41 GMT
Flurry: I think that theres not much that can be done in just, regular rps, I think before a fight both sides should agree to do it, and decide the winner based on logic, because otherwise we're doing this "Hey im really cool" thing that goes back and forth
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:03 GMT
Flurry: I made Flurry cause id rather have a support/non fighting character anyway
Oct 14, 2019 19:51:31 GMT
Chip the Fire Opal: I have Chip who is a killing machine... and Sapphire who couldn't fight a broom
Oct 14, 2019 19:58:03 GMT
Flurry: Ive got Sulfur who impales people with a lot of swords, and Flurry who cant even heal people without being on the verge of collapse
Oct 14, 2019 19:59:04 GMT
Light: so... You think the fight system is bad, but you also don't know how to improve it? I understand what you are trying to say, but it is something that roleplayers should take care of. Admins can only tell you that the way you play is wrong or ban

Rat: Welp, guess I'll die.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
