Personality:
Moonstone: Moonstone is the empathic warrior of the three, not necessarily a hand-to-hand fighter, but more of a mage in terms of her uses in combat. But this is about her personality, and to be honest Moonstone definitely stands out as the brightest of the three gems making up this fusions’ personality. Charismatic, wise and quite intelligent when it comes to certain matters, Moonstone represents most of the fusions’ more uplifting traits, she can be very suave and has a method at diplomacy that puts her almost to the level of a noble in terms of dictation and her ability to argue and set up a debate. However, this also climbs into her less savory traits, she can be very opinionative of certain things, especially about the state of the world and how she feels about people’s actions, and though she can be open to other’s beliefs and how they feel—she can be very set in her ways, much like the moon that circles our planet. Moonstone is also very moody at times, she may not be angry at an individual—but once trifled with she can be very rude and quite disparaging when it comes to making up for any wrong done to her or anyone she cares for.
Onyx: This gem, is a rational and docile warrior—a strange thing to hear considering, but when you think of the fact that she is more like a stealthy rogue than a full-on fighter, it starts to make sense. Much like Moonstone, she isn’t afraid to resort to words when need be, though she isn’t as fluent, some can simply describe this gem as stoic. Cool, collective, and often seen as the level-headed one in many situations, Onyx is a temperate, smooth talking jokester who enjoys a good laugh and joke here and then. But unfortunately her laid back nature could be as seen as apathetic and uncaring. She has an issue of often dismissing other people’s feelings, sometimes though, she isn't trying to be uncaring, she simply has trouble expressing how others should work through their problems and some of her own emotions as well. Onyx can be angered, though usually at the sight of mistreatment or being the subject of it. Her fury is cold, silent, and quite dangerous. She often shrugs off insults much to the dismay of other gems, and is quite the trash-talker when necessary.
Red Spinel: There are very few redeeming traits about Red Spinel; this violent, uncouth, animalistic gem who’s only real desire seems to be to satiate its own hedonistic viewpoints. The gem is often fueled by their rage, often reacting violently in even some of the smallest cases—earning some to believe the gem is corrupt. Possessive, hungry—yet strangely sensual—the gem’s desires often get the best of her and has been known to form odd and maybe even sometimes ‘off,’ relationships with anything she marks as ‘hers,’ However, the gem is protective beyond a doubt—her nature confounding a kind of animalistic grace and devotion towards her own freedom and the freedom of others—any form of repression, government or order that seemed tyrannical deeply angers and infuriates this gem. Despite her anger problems the gem can have moments where her fury is tamed, and with the correct people—may be able to hold back and be ‘appeased,’ where in a way she expresses a more carefree and socially devoted stance toward others.
As a Fusion
Describing Hematite’s Fusion is a little bit different. Outwardly, she seems like she’s an absolutely chill gem to be around when it comes to those she likes. Honestly, she rarely really gets angry, a part of that deals with the two gems Moonstone and Onyx who act as the suppressors of their personalities. And is known for being very likeable, just well- airheaded and even distant at times when she is heavily in thought. She’s more knowledgeable about human nature than she is about her own kind due to her history which may come off as almost ignorant however she retains a lot of her energy and personality, especially when it comes to the gem war and such. But, other than that, she's actually rather intelligent and doesn’t lack any wisdom in any sense of the word. Some call her, ‘sensual,’ maybe ((she’s been known to make brief relationships with humans on several occasions … well, more than several occasions. She’s had a lot of partners over her life—very few gem partners however.)) and others would refer to her as ‘animalistic and wild,’ at times though only when she is enjoying herself. Pearls would certainly find her odd and ‘unrefined,’ despite her actually being rather graceful. The weird gems' she is fused from all have their own odd little qualities that combine to make a rather unpredictable personality-which sadly is where things start to go downhill. As said, she always seems like she’s so nice and stoic, but you can push her the wrong way and I promise you’ll see a side of her you wish you hadn’t, as she can become violent and furious when pushed to a certain degree and she especially hates being disrespected or having anything take away from her freedom. Since one of her abilities is to be able to sense the emotions of other gems, she can get nervous and withdrawn when other gems display emotions that she doesn’t understand very well, especially considering she’s more understanding of humans due to being involved with them for so long. I forgot to mention she can be quite flirty sometimes too. One other thing I might add, though Hematite dislikes engaging in any form of violence, the Spinel portions of her personality gets a thrill from it that can be rather disturbing.

Weapon: Yari Spear : A Long spear consisting of lacquered grip and blade extending about a foot in in the air, they reach about 77” Her own sports a red tinted blade and a black and white accented rod.
Ability Names: Gem Empathy and Modulate Hair
Ability 1: Gem Empathy Allows Hematite to sense not only the presence, but the emotional content of gems around her, this ability isn’t something that is constantly active and works kind of like a sonar that she pings through the strange antennae-like horns on her head. When she activates a ping, an invisible wave of energy peaks from her head and travels about 30 feet. If it passes any kind of gem, Hematite will be able to sense their presence through a kind of mental radar and gain a general understanding of the emotional content the gem is exuding. I.E Anger, Sadness, Contentment and so on. Gems can actually feel her sonar, if they are aware enough of it. As it passes by them they can feel a slight ‘cold shiver.’
Ability 2: Modulate Hair allows Hematite the ability to control and manipulate her own hair. Her long hair is strange, it doesn’t feel like natural hair, the strands are thicker and sturdier and are much harder to break than regular hair-though this doesn’t make them invulnerable, the tactile strength is something akin to steel and allows her to do various things with it as it seems completely alive and can move. She can wear her hair like armor by surrounding herself in it like a rolly-polly, transform it into wings that allow her somewhat average flight, into hands that can grasp things, she can even make a hammock to sleep in. ((Think Filia from SkullGirls, excluding anything that creates like a mouth into her head and stuff like that haha~)) In terms of RP durability, I'd say that many blunt weapons would have issue getting through her hair, however with enough strength, blades can penetrate it much more easily. Character's with heightened strength, even more so than a normal gem, can easily pierce the hair with bladed weaponry. The maximum range of her hair is 5ft.
Her hair can lift her body weight at its least, like actual muscles. Much like if she formed one arm of her own likeness with it, it'd have that exact strength of her own limbs. Her hair has some resistances to elements as well, if you felt it with your fingers, it almost feels crystalline strands, about as thick as angel-hair spaghetti and would be at least able to resist things like burning flames though hotter stuff like plasma could go right through it. Ice could freeze it and make it incapable of moving until thawed.
Hematite's Modulate Hair must also be regenerated if damaged. When her hair is damaged, depending on the severity, it can take from an few minutes to a few hours to regenerate it. If she gets poofed and reforms her body, Her hair actually comes reforms with whatever condition it was in. She can't fly unless her hair is in at least near perfect condition. Also since her hair can feel and has all these properties--it can also feel pain. And pleasure, she likes to get petted. The following list the amount of abuse and states her hair can be at. [[The times chosen do not reflect post, due to the long time-frame it takes for her to regenerate her hair, it would not happen in combat, but instead through rping, and stating that these times go by in agreement with another rper, or in a solo thread.))
Perfect - Allows for Hema to fly, and perform all the actions she can normally commit to with her hair.
Slightly Damaged - Hema loses the ability to fly, but remains capable of gliding and some other actions. 4.hr Regen
Very Damaged - Hema can't perform any form of flight, and loses both some of her defensive and offensive actions. 6hr regen.
Marred - Hematite can no longer utilize her modulate hair ability at this state. - 8HR Regen.
Fusions: n/a, though Hematite is a Perma-Fusion of Three gems known as Red Spinel, Moonstone and Onyx.
History: Hematite’s history is an odd one, one about the complicatedness of Gem dimorphism and the anxieties associated. Hematite’s previous gems, Red Spinel, Moonstone, and Onyx. The three came from the same Kindergartens, but the all had the same issue. Deformity, and by deformity-these gems were incredibly small, even more so than Amethyst or many other gems seen so far in the scene, these poor doll like gems were sent to combat without any real guidance, so small that in fact they simply couldn’t maintain a battle presence worth aiding their comrades. Their deformities, plus their inability to assist in the war led to a disaster, the poor gems couldn’t keep up and were ostracized and humiliated by their fellow soldiers. Realizing their plight, they chose as a group to exile themselves, for they felt they had failed their purpose as being warrior gems, even more so at protecting homeworld.
Using Onyx’s Black Warp Ability, they went to a random place on earth where they would wait out the war in self-exile. The group’s loneliness, and inability to befriend anyone in the isolated forest they had chosen had led to them confiding in themselves for love and happiness.
And then one day, upon pure accident, they fused. Well, not wholly by accident.
The group’s confidence in each other, grew and they eventually found that within each other was a part of them struggling to become something ever since the war.
Something with a purpose.
They became Hematite.
Hematite emerged from her lonely forest in a place stricken with bamboo, and long rolling rice-lands. “Yokai!” Someone called her; humans stood in fear of her dressed in strange garb she had never seen calling her a word she had never heard from any Gem. Alas, the random place they had taken themselves was none other than the lands of the rising sun themselves. Nippon. [To be more Accurate, The Hiean Period of Japan] Strangely at first, much of the land called her this term Yokai, of which was like an aberration, a spirit even. But as she travelled the lands, Hematite found a respect for humans that led her to become much entwined in their lives, well, the ones who didn’t consider her some kind of malignant demon. Hematite made strange relationships with humans, posing as their guardians, and even a lover to some. She continued this for years …
Until that is, something happened. Oddly, Hematite was normally very mild in terms of temper. She was at peace most of the time, but then, little things began to make her angry. Eventually she lost her temper and noted blacking out and when she came to, she had destroy a small home, black flames crawling all over of it. Terrified of what was happening to her, she took off to the skies and tried to find other gems to help her with her problem. That’s when she heard Rose’s transmissions. It wasn’t just a war on humans, apparently it was a war against gem’s now-factions rising to battle forbidden fusions, beings like herself.
Now at current time, Hematite searches for a cure to her sudden ‘illness,’ and struggles to find a place she can make her own.
