Going back to the two and looking observantly at Onyx as she summoned the wings, Radiant clapped slowly but loudly. After this very interesting ability Onyx performed was completed, the White Beryl jumped high into the air, shapeshifting into a snake with porcelain-like skin covered in small wounds which let out a tiny amount of black gas and landing into Onyx' satchel bag. "I wouldn't want my weight to be of any hinderance to you, so this is the best solution. Cat's Eye," he said, lookimg at her, "jump right in, the sight of empire city surely is beautiful on a sunset, so we should go in a haste, of course, if that is not a problem to you, Onyx." He stared into Onyx' eyes as he said it. He was lying, of course, he did not have any sort of idea what one could interpret as "beautiful", but it should be one motivation for flying as fast as they could. While making himself comfortable, Radiant noticed a lot of books in Onyx' bag. Well, he thought, finally some other gem who understood his passion.
Amazed by Onyx's display of power, the yellow gem was speechless for a few moments. The wings were gorgeous, and they were a pair one would be envious of. After a few moments, she said, "Nice to meet you," keeping up her manners as well. Cat's Eye then watched as Radiant shapeshifted and jumped into Onyx's satchel, but she did not act on his request right away. She didn't exactly think of the Earth as 'beautiful', but she had to admit, it had some stunning sights. Being not all too interested in Earth, she hadn't really paid attention to them, however. Although she did not know what the black gem exactly needed, she was still curious to see Radiant's home.
Cat's Eye turned to face the winged gem. "Alright... I trust you," she said doubtfully, deciding to go with the white beryl's suggestion to go into Onyx's satchel as well. "I'll get in your bag now. Radiant does have a point..." She let herself change shape, taking the form of a small, metallic-gold colored mouse, and jumped into the black gem's bag. She glanced over at Radiant, and then at the mass of books. She was not one to read books, and started to wonder why someone would spend all of their time researching about the Earth.
As Radiant made himself comfortable in the bag, he noticed Cat's Eye was in it too. Being (theoretically) alone with her, he thought that it would be a good time to learn about each other, there needed to be a basis for their cooperation. Thus, he said calmly: "So, if you don't mind, how did you get here, on earth I mean. You don't show much interest in it at all, or so it seems." Radiant again looked at all the books, slithering around them. Yes, that Onyx could maybe be of use. Who knows, he might even reason with her and reveal to her his plan.
"How I got stuck on Earth...?" As the memories of a few years ago came back to her, her straight face turned into a frown. She remained silent for a few moments before she finally spoke. "I was one of the guards assigned to a sapphire to go to Earth," she begun. "The other guards and I went out to a forest while she was meeting with Pink Diamond herself. They tricked me and they..." Cat's Eye paused, trying to keep herself calm. "...They betrayed me, and left me there while they went back to Homeworld. Once I found a warp pad and went to the Galaxy Warp, I found out it was broken..." The yellow shape-shifted gem let out a sorrowful sigh. "I've been on Earth ever since. I've never found it to be anything special; it's just another planet, and I'm stuck on it."
She paused, letting her story settle in with the white beryl. After a long moment of silence, she asked, "So, how did you get stuck on here?" While she waited for an answer, she watched Radiant slither around the books that surrounded them.
After hearing her story, Radiant slithered around more, trying to remember all the details surrounding his story. After some thought, he said: "I wouldn't say that I got stuck on it, I just came here recently. However, I am a scientist and as one, the humans intrigue me. Some things happened in the past with my experiments, that is why I wear clothing that hides all but my head, see?" He presented his snake skin in front of Cat's Eyes, this porcelain like material with small wounds which let out a small, dark gas. He then tried again to identify all the different books, slithering about them, waiting for Onyx to take flight.
"Okay." Cat's Eye winced at the sight of the wounds present on the snake's skin. She felt tempted to ask him about how he got the injuries, but she decided against it. Thinking of another question to ask him, she glanced over at one of the books, and read the title of it. Not being intrigued by it, she looked around at the other books, looking to see if Onyx had anything interesting in her satchel. Clumsily, she started to walk through the books, albeit with much more difficulty than Radiant had. After a while, she decided to give up, and laid down, not being interested by any of the book titles she read.
At last, she thought of another question to ask the white beryl. "Why are you researching humans?" she asked.
Ah, what hypocritical beings children were, always being curious and lusting to learn, on the other hand naive and stubborn. This is what he thought after Cat's Eyes uttered that question, her questioning was slowly making him sick, but he did not want her to turn against him, so he said calmly: "You will see and hear the answer once we get to my home, I promise. I am just tired right now." This was no lie, Radiant's transformation had one downside, that being that he developed a time rythm like humans, meaning that he would start to fall asleep at night and the tiredness now started to kick in.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
