Scarlet Emerald was scrappy. What she lacked in size and strength she made up for in spades in speed and mobility, her attacks always precise and striking just where they needed to for them to hurt sufficiently. Her style of fighting was mesmerizing to watch as she could dance around the air and ground at breakneck speeds, striking an opponent from all sides. It was early in the morning when she was on the lay on the cold sands of Beach City, the tide rising to tickle her feet. This was one of her favorite places she'd been to in her travels. It exuded a gem like atmosphere, although she hadn't really met a lot of other gems. She avoided the humans however. After her last bad experience with them, she wasn't sure how she felt about them overall.
Cracking her knuckles and letting out an exasperated sigh, she began her early mornings work of making herself some dummies. She built up the sand to have a sort of humanoid shape, and lined them all up in a row for herself. This only took about an hour- before, it took her a long time but the realization that water could help solidify the sand and make it mold able was revolutionary for her training. Standing back from the row, she summoned her gem weapon- a long, pink bowstaff, and gave it a twirl above her head before clutching it in both hands and aiming at the dummies. With her free left hand, she created 5 speed glyphs in front of them. She leaped forward, standing on the first plate before running at an enhanced speed at the others, each one increasing the momentum of the last before she was moving so fast she was off her feet and in the air. She twirled around gracefully, and aimed her staff at her makeshift dummies, spinning it as she broke through their thick forms.
She gave a spin, and created a platform in front of her, so she'd land on her feet before flipping onto the ground. She surveyed the damages. 10 dummies, 5 knocked down, with a 6th sustaining slight deformation. She let out a sigh of frustration. She had barely made any progress in her time training every day- she couldn't add more glyphs to the equation without losing control of her path and potentially hurting herself (she had poofed at the usage of 10 glyphs that caused her to fly into a nearby boardwalk). A child-like tantrum began to brew.
"Ugh! I need a real opponent if I want to advance. Not some stupid sand dummies!"
