Personality: Ruby Quartz, Aka Inferno is a Gemstone who has a high value to honor and loyalty. This makes him unwilling to break his loyalty to Home World without a very good reason. Inferno does not believe in shattering gems, nor does he believe it should be an allowed procedure. All in all, Inferno is a fiercely loyal gem and determined to do what it takes to make Homeworld happy. Inferno is a gem who values Honor, and Fariness, as well as Loyalty, and Mercy. For that reason he cannot comprehend what motivated Rose to betray Homeworld, but he is curious about it, so he can stamp out such a problem. Of course he also believes in mercy. His belief in mercy will lead to him offering Gems of the Crystal Gem Rebellion a choice when he defeats them in combat. The choice is simple. They can either be bubbled, or they can work for him under his command instead. Ruby is a master tactician, and planner, preferring to plan out his battles like a game of chess. Ruby also prefers people call him by Inferno, so as to set him apart from Rose Quartz. Inferno is also one who is willing to use gem artifacts in battles, since he refuses to use the art of Fusion yet.

Fears:
Corruption: Corruption is one of the Greatest Fears that Inferno has, because he does not want to become a mindless beast.
Betraying Homeworld: Inferno is afraid of betraying Homeworld, because he doesn’t know what they would do to him if he did.
Rose Quartz: Inferno is afraid of her, because he does not know how she inspired the rest of the gems to join her in the rebellion.
Bubbling: Bubbling is one of Inferno’s greatest fears.
Weapon: An external weapon that was one of the finest ones made by Home World blacksmiths, for Inferno. This sword is a weapon that he wears into battle at his side. His real weapon is a set of whips with Chakrams attached to them that he can materialize out of his Gem, and turn into a shield, or a bow and arrow. These have a variety of uses that he an choose to employ in combat.
Ability One: Pyrokinesis: Ruby Quartz is capable of generating, and manipulating flames. However, he can only manipulate flames up to the size of a double decker bus. In addition he can only manipulate fires that he has personally created, or that his flames are mixed with. There are many techniques that he has with his Pyrokinesis. He's got a range of 40 feet.
Ability Two: Phoenix Regeneration: A Fire Based healing technique that Inferno possesses. This can be used to heal a Gem, and even repair a cracked gem, although it cannot cure Corruption. Furthermore, this can also be used to amplify the power of a Gem, at the cost of weakening Ruby Quartz until the buff wears off on the Gem.

History:
A Gem who was originally part of the court of White Diamond, Inferno was made to be a strong leader and tactician for the Forces possessed by White Diamond. Time passed, and he trained, and learned about the art of war. However, when he learned of a Gem Fusion that had occurred, namely Ruby and Sapphire, and how they had been transferred, he requested a transfer of his own to the court of Pink Diamond so he could research this, and learn what it was about. White granted his request, and so he was transferred to the court of Pink Diamond. Eventually when Pink Diamond visited the planet Earth for the first time he was ordered to remain on Earth, and so he did. Centuries passed, and when the warps went offline, Inferno learned of the truth of the matter. When he learned that Rose Quartz, a rebel had somehow managed to bring the warps offline, he was curious. So he’s stayed on Earth, and is trying to marshal the forces of Homeworld against Rose.
Character Arcs:
Inferno’s Discovery: The first step towards him turning on Homeworld will be that he notices how the Homeworld Gems on Earth treat the Rebels, and that it is without kindness, or any form of respect whatsoever.
The Duel: The second arc of Inferno’s redemption will be that he has a duel against the leader or at least one of the Crystal Gems, and battles them. Learning they have honor, this will lead to him beginning to doubt himself as a gem of Homeworld.
Rejection: This arc will be one where another member of Pink Diamond’s court makes him look like a traitor, and gets him kicked out of Pink’s court, and fired from Home World.
You can Fuse: This arc will be about Inferno learning that Fusion is actually something Gems should do, rather than something that is abhorrent, and eventually fusing for a little while with another Gem.
Earning the Crown's Blessing again: In order to get back into the good graces of Homeworld, Inferno will rally a lot of neutral gems, and his squad into an army, training them, and taking on the Crystal Gems in a series of battles.
Captured: Inferno will end up captured by the Crystal Gems, but not bubbled, or shattered.
Reformation: Inferno will be forced to undergo redemption.
Fighting for the Right Side: Once he has been reformed, Inferno will willingly start to fight on the side of the Crystal Gems, along with his unit that obey him. Though, I am not sure how this will happen.
