Radiant broke off a handful of every differently colored and differently shaped crystal group he could find in the cavern. Being a little away from the other two, the white beryl listened to their conversation. He already noticed the first time Peridot stuttered, it was when she tried to speak his name. Now, it happened again, but with Cat's name. With his gatherings finished, he turned around, moving towards Peridot slowly and inquiringly asked with a serious voice: "You know, it seems that you sometimes stutter while trying to say our names. Is something the matter? Are you feeling well?" Looking down at Peridot, he spoke out the last question with a more threatening tone of voice, angrily staring into her eyes. This was just a show of course, but if she had something to hide, she would hopefully spit it out now.
"Nodules, huh?" It was nice to know what this mysterious structure actually was now. But still, Peridot's unusual weariness seemed like she was hiding something. Something she didn't want to talk about... Perhaps she had a past with Homeworld, too? Then again, almost every gem she knew was involved with the empire at some point in their lives. She no longer served them, but this fact was unknown to the peridot standing in front of her. When Radiant asked his question, a chill crawled up her spine at his tone. "Maybe she just... stutters for no reason," Cat's Eye suggested. She usually did not associate stuttering with hiding something, but then again, anything was a possible answer on this strange planet. "Although I do want to know why you can't get close with us."
"I-I'm sor...She stopped for a moment. No! I won't do that, you don't scare me Radiant, i have my reasons to be acting like that!" She yelled without thinking, therefore she lost her concentration, when it happened Peridot started to act weird. "And Cat's Eye, i do have m-my..." She starts to weep "Reasons... Thank you guys"Peridot still crying "I needed that kindness" She said with a grateful feeling. After the alterego took over, she started to talk about how she was about to attack both of them with full power if wasn't for Cat's Eye. Now quite cheerful she introduced "herself". "Oh, by the way, my name's PR, i was a bit grouch before" she said a little embarrassed. PR said that now she was able to be close with they both as they want and needed.
(Sorry for the wait, exams have been coming up and I needed to prepare myself.)
After Peridot was done, the white beryl gave her a cold and emotionless gaze which practically said "I'll be watching you". But, to be honest, he did have a slight respect for the courage of this gem to scream at a high ranking scientist. Walking over to Cat's Eye, he declared to the both of them: "I have all the materials that I need. It seems that we are done here now. I prefer that we would go deeper into the jungle, so, what do you all say?" The crystals in his pockets were making sounds while he wqlked, akin to bags full of gold qnd just like gold, Radiant always hoarded and guarded his experiments as well as rescources well.
(OOC: It's fine, education is important, after all.)
Cat's Eye felt a little disturbed by Peridot's sudden change in behavior, but if it meant that she could safely work with them, then there was nothing to worry about... right? She gave a nod of acknowledgement to the peridot who now called herself PR, and turned to face the white beryl at his arrival. After Radiant told his plans, the yellow gem gave one final look at the structure. She wished she could stay longer and gaze at its beauty, but the scientist was technically her superior at the moment, and thus, she did not want to keep him waiting. "Well, okay then," she said. The gem looked over at 'PR'. She hoped that she would agree, but anything could happen with such an unfamiliar gem.
She was excited to have fun in this "new adventure" with them, everything was perfect for PR. She felt an excitement to have others she could count on to keep "Peridot" out of the way, she just wanted to have more fun and help them even if they didn't help back with the metal stuff, she wanted to be herself, be PR for longer than she usually lasts. PR took some of the Nodules before following Radiant, she took the shiniest one she could find, cause she noticed how Cat's Eyes seemed to like shiny things. "Hey, Cat's Eye" she whispered before give her the Nodule. "Eh, sorry for interrupting you Radiant, and for disrespecting you, i still wanna help you guys" she quickly said after have given the shiny colored Nodule to Cat's Eye.
A weird cavern filled with crystals and a seemingly stranded Peridot, certainly not quite what Radiant expected, but something which would hopefully be of use to him later on he thought while wandering through the jungle with the others, his pockets shaking with all the crystals inside. For now, he needed to concentrate on the reason he and Cat's got here in the first place. "Cat's Eye, would you mind scouting for more structures? I must say, finding that cavern, you are really worthy of your name." the white beryl said, hoping to motivate his companion into finding more curiosities. She seemed to enjoy it, so why not?
"It's fine, it's fine," Cat's Eye whispered back to PR. "You can still help, I'm sure Radiant won't mind." After receiving a piece of the nodule, she smiled, and whispered back a thank you towards the peridot. She looked down at the nodule. As much as she would like to mess around with it, now was not the time to do so. As the three gems continued their trek in the jungle, all was silent until the white beryl broke it, asking his question to the young gem. "More structures? No, not at all," she replied. She started to run ahead of the other two gems. "I'll be right back!" she called as she ran deeper into the jungle.
Looking around her, all she could see were simply just trees and caverns similar to the one the gems had encountered earlier. After a few minutes of running, the yellow gem tripped on a rock, and she let out a gasp as she fell into a stream. The sudden dampness had caught her by surprise, and she tried her best to swim back over to the shore. Moments later, she reemerged, soaked. Crawling back onto land, she looked around. She was a few inches away from where she had fell in, but other than that, she was perfectly fine. Cat's Eye did not particularly enjoy being in water, and she was glad to be out. The gem started to walk back to her companions.
As soon as she returned to the group, she noted, "I found water." She then sighed. Water still dripped from her hair. "But not much else."
PR was relieved and very happy now, she wanted to have fun with them as much as she wanted to help too, so she ran to the upper jungle. "Guys, come here, the view here is awesome!" she yelled while looking around the island. "There's a huge waterfall over there..." she said after came back to the group. PR wanted to go to the waterfall so bad, so she asked Radiant and Cat's Eye if anyone wanted to come along, but then PR remembered that Radiant was supposed to lead the way or something like that. Therefore she asked if there was any problem going to the waterfall to Radiant. "Eh, i couldn't find anything but water either, but maybe there's something good inside the waterfall"
Meanwhile, a green pearl was strolling around the island. She lived here, that was an established fact. However, she did not know that there were other gems on the island at the moment.
Shortly after PR returned to the traveling group of gems, Pearl made her stop at the large waterfall present on Mask Island. Interesting plants lived in the streams the waterfalls originated from, although it had been months since she had last investigated them. This was a fact she stored in the holographic logs she had, back when her owner was still alive. The gem extended her hand to touch the cool, refreshing water. There was a strange uniqueness to the lifeforms on Earth, and even if part of her wanted to return to Homeworld someday, she would not mind being forced to stay on this planet. A small smile formed on her face, taking all of her worries away. Looking out to the sky, she sat down. Perhaps, she thought, she could let her legs rest while listening to the soothing stream falling from above.
Waiting for Cat's Eyes to return, Radiant now was alone with the Peridot. His original question he could not just abandon, and so he asked, in a cold tone: "Now, we are all here by ourselves, us two. You can tell me everything and I will keep it a secret, so, where do you come from? It looks like you are a stranded Homeworld gem, but how did you get here?" However, he turned around to hear footsteps coming, knowing that Cat's Eyes was coming back. "Do not think that you are off the hock, Peridot, if you are from Homeworld then I am your technical superior and I will get an answer from you." As Cat's Eyes stated what she had seen, Radiant played an act of shock and worry: "Cat's, what happened to you!? You are completely soaking wet!"
The yellow gem sighed. "I fell into a stream," she told Radiant. "I didn't mean to," she quickly added, worried that the white gem would call her out on it. "I was too busy looking around for another interesting thing that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." After her explanation settled in, she started to think about PR's question. They could leave the island... or keep exploring it. As far as Cat's Eye could tell, the island the three gems were standing on was huge. Perhaps it had more hidden secrets than what they had explored so far. "We could keep looking," she finally suggested. "Those strange-looking caverns can't be the only thing on here." All she had to do now was to wait for Radiant's response.
"Oh boy..." PR started to get worried, sweating and afraid, she didn't want to talk with him for a while, if she said anything wrong, what could happen was unpredictable for PR. After all that happened, she still needed to figure out what the heck Radiant was talking about. Maybe her alterego would know how to deal with it, but she was so happy with them until now. "H-Hi Cat's Eye, i-i din't found anything either..." Now PR just was being paranoid, she didn't know if she could trust Radiant, but didn't want to ruin Cat's Eye relationship with Radiant. "...We-Well, what are we going to do now? I think i forgot where we were"She wanted so bad to know what's going on. But doesn't matter what she knew or not, Radiant seemed to want it to be a secret, so PR was going to try to keep it secret, but without lying to Cat's Eye.
Radiant really did not want to abandon this island, after all, there could be some more interesting specimen f9r him here. Suddendly, a thought came crashing into his head. What if the Peridot they found was not the only stranded gem on this island? What if there were more? "Peridot! Did you come here by yourself or with other gems?" Now Radiant was determined, not only to find structures but gems as well. "Cat's, can you track footsteps?" This was embarassing, how could he have not thought about it before? Nevertheless, he had the idea now. After all, his real intention by coming here was to find not constructs, but creatures.
Whatever thought came into Radiant's head must have been important, as Cat's Eye became surprised at his sudden change of demeanor. The question was, however, could she be able to track footsteps? She never had to before, but it should be simple... right? "Yes..." she replied. It was a half-truth. She probably could, but once again, she's never done so before. "Do you want me to find some?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. While she was scouting out the area, the yellow gem did not find any footsteps. But then again, she was not paying attention to the ground they stood on. Before the white beryl could answer, she scanned the ground surrounding them, looking for any footsteps. Other than their own, of course, she could not find any. If there were any footsteps, rain probably washed them away. Maybe there were some up ahead, but Cat's Eye waited for an 'okay' to go search for some.

Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’.
