History:
Emerald felt indebted to her new owner and gave her best efforts to repay that debt through service, despite her flaws. Aquamarine seemed rather cold and quiet at first, but as time progressed she seemed to warm up to Emerald. She gradually began to talk more freely with Emerald about herself, her past, and her disdain for the stuck-up court gems. As Aquamarine showed more of her casual, and somewhat snarky self, Emerald began to feel closer and closer to her. Through the years of Earth’s colonization Emerald and Aquamarine grew very close, and Emerald genuinely considered her to be a friend.
After communication with Homeworld was disrupted, Emerald accompanied Aquamarine to check if progress would continue towards the spire she was overseeing. They were met by guards facing corrupted gems, and one such gem set its sight on them. To protect Aquamarine, Emerald fused with her to fight the creature. After that incident, Emerald briefly returned to life as usual with Aquamarine, albeit with a longing to return to their fused form. It wasn’t long, however, until Aquamarine approached Emerald about fusing again in private. Emerald was excited by the prospect; she had felt complete as Maxixe and was eager to feel that way again. So they did. The pair would sneak off from time to time, and fuse outside of the public eye. This continued for only a few years until Onyx showed up, a Pearl in tow. Aquamarine spoke with her privately, but when Emerald heard their voices escalate to shouting, she burst into the room. It all happened so fast. Onyx and Aquamarine both dove towards her, and she became Maxixe; locked in combat with Onyx.
They chatted back and forth discussing what to do with her before the Onyx insisted on shattering her. Aquamarine stepped in, seeing an opportunity to receive a temporary replacement for her Pearl. She spoke with the Onyx, who agreed to let her have the Emerald so long as Onyx could shatter them once the Pearl was ready. The Emerald did a fair job as a servant, but she regularly looked at Aquamarine with what she could swear was admiration. Aquamarine mostly ignored it, however it did begin to give her a strange sense of comfort when Emerald was around.
One day, after meeting with upper class gems, Aquamarine had had enough of their high-and-mighty attitudes and began venting to Emerald. She wasn’t sure what had come over her, she had never really lost her composure or expressed her exasperations, but she had just begun to feel so comfortable around Emerald… Aquamarine's venting to Emerald lead to talking, talking lead to laughing, and laughing lead to appreciation. From then on, it was like she had discovered a new side of herself. A side that was more open, that could express herself and feel free. Over the years of Emerald’s service, Aquamarine could barely believe she had allowed herself to become so close to Emerald, and time only made their bond stronger.
Once the rebellion began, Aquamarine took Emerald to her spire to see if construction would continue during these times of duress. They were met by guards facing corrupted gems, and one such gem set its sight on them. Before Aquamarine knew what happened, Emerald held her close and the two became one. After seperating, Aquamarine felt compelled to join with Emerald again. She felt so free, so right, so close to Emerald. She approached Emerald with the suggestion of fusing again, and was met with an excitement to match her own.
It was a short period of years fusing in private before Aquamarine received a grim reminder. Onyx appeared in her quarters, Pearl in tow, and Aquamarine chose to discuss the matter away from Emerald. She told Onyx that she wasn’t going to give Emerald up, that she would keep her as a servant. But Onyx insisted, she said that a deal had been made and demanded to be given Emerald. Aquamarine refused again, and during the argument Emerald entered the room. Onyx darted over to her, but Aquamarine’s wings brought her to Emerald faster. She collided and fused with Emerald, and the fight began.
Then came the day that she took form in different circumstances. She became herself only to be tackled by Onyx’s powerful form. Maxixe wasn’t much of a fighter, and Onyx’s gauntlet managed to block her every sword strike. When it seemed like she had no other hope of winning, Maxixe leapt into the air and burst through the window of her quarters. She was now floating outside a homeworld base, a fusion for all to see, fleeing from an officer in defense of an off-color. Maxixe flew straight to a warp pad and traveled far from homeworld's settlements. Unsure of where to go, Maxixe considered looking for the Crystal Gems. Some of their rebels fused freely, perhaps it could be a new home. But she wasn't sure if she was really cut out to be a rebel, if that's what she really wanted. And so she wandered, looking for somewhere safe to be her. Looking, perhaps, for the Crystal Gems.

Emerald
Emerald is a very soft-hearted individual. She tries to maintain a compassionate nature, but she has difficulty trying to trust others. Emerald is a bit of a coward; fearing strangers, dangerous situations, and a wide array of other things. One of the only things capable of putting her fears at ease is Aquamarine, whom she has a codependent bond with. Emerald tries consistently to avoid thinking of herself as an individual, preferring to look at herself as a part of Aquamarine.Aquamarine
Aquamarine, to most, seems to be a very cold, analytical, and detail-oriented gem. To the few that get past this front, she becomes more of a talkative, sarcastic dork. She isn't very aware of the emotions of others, or even her own, but her emotions can get the better of her if bottled up for too long. She means well, but can easily hurt others with thoughtless words.Maxixe
Maxixe is generally kind-hearted. Emerald's fear and Aquamarine's calm analysis combine to give her a cautious nature. She tries to remain calm in most situations, however when she becomes too stressed she starts panicking and is quick to flee. She prefers to avoid physical conflict, but occasionally her sharp tongue gets her into unpleasant situations. Maxixe is fairly laid-back and is more than happy to let someone else take the lead.Likes:

History:
Emerald
From the time she emerged, Emerald was no stranger to fear. She was immediately recognized as an off-color, smaller and weaker than other Emeralds, and was pulled aside to be dealt with. A small group of guards and overseer gems discussed what to do with her, eventually deciding to allow the Onyx in the group to shatter her. That was when Emerald received the first kindness of her existence. An Aquamarine stepped in, offering to take Emerald as a servant instead. Emerald wasn’t informed of the details of their agreement, only that she would be allowed to live as a servant to the Aquamarine. Emerald felt indebted to her new owner and gave her best efforts to repay that debt through service, despite her flaws. Aquamarine
Aquamarine was a loyal member of Blue Diamond’s court. Her life was uneventful to say the least, moving from one colony to the next, completing job after job. In time, she was sent to a new colony: Earth. Her job was to oversee the construction of a spire, and in return for her service she would receive a Pearl from one of Earth’s kindergartens. After her arrival on Earth, Aquamarine was informed that progress was moving remarkably slow. Frustrated by delays, she went to meet with a kindergarten overseer about her Pearl. She was told that production had been postponed, when a small group of guards approached the overseer, throwing an off-color Emerald to the ground in front of them. Maxixe
Maxixe first formed to fight a corrupted gem. It wasn’t a great challenge, but when the fight was over she was faced with a realization. She felt good. Like this was what she never knew she had wanted all along. She felt a rush of emotion and impulse that was cut short by guards rushing over. Knowing she would never be accepted like this outside of battle, she regretfully split herself up. From that point forward, however, Maxixe would regularly reform, just to be herself. She loved being together, and loved every occasion she got to take form.
