Appearance:
Moon is incredibly tall, at about 6’7”, and reasonably lean. The left side of his hair has been buzzed short around the ear, and the rest flows to the right. His irises are a milky pink color and convey emotion very well. Moon has stature, and often his presence can be intimidating. As a side note, he smells like leather and peppermint.

Personality:
Moon reflects the celestials in attitude; during the day, he is bright and forthgoing, replicating the sun in his ambitions. At night, he is melancholy and often broods. He flits between infatuations frequently, growing passionate about many things of human culture. Human romance in particular finds his fancy. He longs for a position in life where people rely on him, and regardless of the time of day, he is always obliged to spend time with those he grows close to. Much in the way he mirrors Sol and Luna, he develops behaviors that mimic his associates and friends.

Likes/Dislikes:
Moon is drawn to anything that is charged with emotion. He is an open person, and many individuals feel comfortable approaching him with their problems because of his enthrallment. He also enjoys powerful expressions of art, including poetry. Moon only detests when a person aggrieves another for little, or no, reason. Ignorance and prejudice quickly break his calm exterior.

Fears:
Moon is not easy to scare, as he is just as comfortable in moonlight as he is in daylight. Rather, more cosmic issues trouble him. He worries about his place in the world, and if the actions of the Gems as a race will have some greater consequence.

Weapon:
Kirin Blades - Large, curved blades of an eerily smooth blue-white material. Handles are positioned near the middle of the blunt side of the weapon. They largely resemble scythe blades with protruding handles. Two are wielded at once, and because of their lightweight composite, used with ease and speed. They hum when swung, and more often than not, Moon attacks in patterns that alter pitches of the blades. These bladesongs add rhythm to combat and give Moon his sense of balance.

Ability 1: Luminescence
Any light that Moon encounters is absorbed through his skin. Naturally, the light is released later, and his skin glows at night. Moon can enhance this factor in one of two ways: He can illuminate a small area around him, so that those near him may see, or he can change the composition of the energy he releases into burning, half-solid wisps of ‘light’. These wisps, paired with his slim frame, add to his evasiveness. He can also suppress the reaction, but must do so actively and struggles to focus on other actions whilst doing so.
Ability 2: Mist Step
Utilizing the form of hardlight he can produce, Moon can create simple objects for him to traverse. The objects are intangible to others. The objects are commonly shaped like slides, steps, or discs. When Moon walks over these objects they increase his movement speed. He utilizes these objects to gain the advantage in fights, as the third dimension is available for his use.

History:
Moonstone is a relatively young gem. Physically impressive, he was sought after for his usefulness in colonization efforts. He had heard other gems talk about the ‘conversion’ of planets. Disregarding these, he took the long voyage from his homeworld to Earth. Immediately he was stunned. The swirling storms of Earth were unlike any he had seen in the solar system. The humans, while not as diverse as gems, had a variety of intellects that multiplied their actions exponentially. Every one was unique; a frightening and entrancing concept.
On Earth, Moonstone flung himself to the Sanctuary in Beach City. Gems of all sorts made the transition easier. When he wasnt with other gems, exploring the human society, he was in the Sanctuary honing his weapon talents. He could see the beauty in humanity; he also saw the sorrow. He feared what would happen to the humans. He feared that the stories he had heard would come true. Moonstone always thought of himself as a paragon of bravery, looking forward to war and conquest, but now that he had lived with these people, these humans… It was a struggle. Moonstone now rides the line, waiting for an outside force to show him the right path to take.
