Name: Meta Autunite (Generally goes by Meta)
Appeared Gender: Female
Appeared Age: late twenties
Gemstone: An isoceles triangle, with the central point facing directly down. On either edge, instead of tapering to a point, the gem angles into a spike, the one on the right slanting up, the one on the left angled down.
Gemstone location: Meta's gemstone is situated where the clavicle-bones would meet on a human, near the base of her throat, at the top of her chest.
Corrupted: Possibly.
Theoretical corrupted form: A massive, bio-mechanical-looking semi-humanoid with intricate, heavy plated armor, no eyes, forwards-curled, ram-like horns, a skull-like visage, and a chest dominated by a massive, empty hole extending through the entirety of her body and appearing likewise on the other side. Form littered throughout with vent-like cracks which seethe with blue-gold energy. Roughly 37 ft tall. Has a 60 foot, tapered, serpentine tail ending in a blade similar to the one found on her axe. Bears two sets of enormous, bat-like wings that span roughly 140 feet each on her shoulders and lower back. Mouth is filled with extremely sharp teeth, and hands and teeth are taloned. Wings also bear enormous talons, similar to the fingers bats use for gripping. On fire.
Appearance: Meta is a very tall gem. Not on the level of most fusions, but far above average for humans, male or female. If one were to measure her from the soles of her boot-clad feet to the crown of her head, she'd stand at well over 7', with her hair adding another few inches. She has wild, volumous, slightly curly hair that falls nearly to her shoulders when its in the mood to hang straight, large green eyes, and a heart-shaped face. Despite her great size, Meta is not overly muscular or otherwise powerfully-built. She has wide hips, a moderately impressive bust, and a long, graceful neck. Her garb of choice consists of knee-high, box-toed boots, a short-ish skirt that falls longer to the right side than the left, a form-fitting undershirt that fits her torso and is fitted with the skirt, and a midriff-less tank-top that sits over her undershirt, and is equally form-fitting. She also wear a pair of elbow-length gloves over her hands at most times. All of her clothing has a metallic look, giving it the look/texture of particularly shiny vynl, well-polished leather, or if one isn't operating under the false assumption that the clothing is typical fabric, some sort of actual, flexile metal.
Most peculiar of all about Meta is her color-scheme, which hinges entirely upon the gem's health, and, to a lesser extent, mood. When energized, angry, or otherwise excited, Meta appears, in clothing, hair, and skin, to fairly glow green and blue respectively. When hurt, sapped of energy, or depressed, Meta seems to lose most of her color, and appears in all aspects to be a lusterless off-white, with only subtle hints of color remaining
Personality: Meta isn't introverted per say, but she dislikes "people" as a whole. That doesn't mean she never makes friends, or dislikes every individual she meets on sight, but it doesn't take much to get on her s***-list, and even less to stay there indefinitely. Many, many years ago, Meta was snide and overwhelmingly fond of sarcasm as a coping mechanism to deal with the self-hatred and depression she felt following her dramatic betrayal of the Diamond Authority; she dealt with those who bothered her by taking them apart on an emotional level, to the extent that some of her friends use to joke that her REAL ability was to make people feel bad.
That remark stuck with the gem, and continues to stick with her thousands upon thousands of years later. Most of her friends are dead, but she still remembers what they taught her...Meta is intelligent, and a decent problem-solver when issues require the use of pattern-observation or battle-field tactics. She also has a great appreciation for literature. Math can go play with the Centipedals in a rock-crusher.
Meta has a strong moral center, and a compulsion to help others. It's curious just how strong said compulsion is... Why does she feel like it's her duty to look after others? What is she hiding?
Likes/dislikes: Enjoys heat, piloting air/spacecraft, open places, natural beauty, impressive architecture, catchy music, the sky, outer-space, books, and watching humanity grow as a species.
Wants idiots, large, deep bodies of water, confined spaces, and bureaucrats to please go away.
Fears: Water, enclosed spaces, imprisonment, the dark, going Corrupted.
Weapon: A one-and-a-half handed battle-axe with a sizable head shaped identically to Meta's gem. It might just be coincidence, but said shape is an EXCELLENT cutting-tool. The tapered, angled extensions allow for the hooking of shields and stabbing or pinning of opponents, in addition to the usual sweeping-attacks one might execute with an axe. While she can wield her weapon competantly, Meta is not an especially impressive melee-fighter, and generally uses defensive, reserved tactics, or resorts to ranged firepower.
Ability 1: Meta can produce, focus, and control all forms of radiation above infrared. Due to past incidents, she's made it a goal to gain full control of her power, and, as a result, it has a great number of applications. Meta has fine-tuned it to the point where she can light a match, cook a meal, weld a steel strut back together, or reduce a city-block to cinders and ash with varying wavelengths, concentrations, and amounts of radiation. She can even produce a sort of rocket-propulsion, allowing her to fly at extremely high speeds for moderate lengths of time. Despite the ability's great power and versatility, it does have its limits and drawbacks. Meta must draw her energy from somewhere; she stores it in her body, and draws it from virtually everywhere where this is thermal energy, sunlight, or a pre-existing source of radiation. While she can hold a great deal of energy, her capacity is still limited, and taxing her reserves reduces her physical functionality as well as the effectiveness of her abilities. A drained Meta is a shaky, fatigued, faded Meta. She needs a source to re-charge. Her preferred "meals" are massive quantities of sunlight or heat.
Ability 2: Meta is about as close to thermally and radioactively inert as it is possible to get. Her body absorbs whatever energy is nearby to fuel her power, and she sometimues radiates heat, but she herself is essentially un-burnable. She can withstand theoretically unlimited temperatures, and if she were shielded from the kinetic tonage, could sit at the heart of a nuclear-detonation unscathed. Unfortunately, she seems to LOSE energy when exposed to extremely cold temperatures, or submerged in cold water for any great length of time. This suggests that whatever method Meta's body uses to soak up energy with such efficiency is not as foolproof as it seems.

History: A crack pilot and navigations officer, one of the few instances in which Meta Autunite feels at home in an enclosed space is in the seat of a Gemian fighter-craft, star-ship, or scouting-craft. She has served as the guiding hand of all three, and is a veteran flier. Formerly a stalwart patriot and supporter of the Gem effort to spread across the stars, Meta became frought with doubt upon her arrival to a world full of intelligent beings that was marked for colonization. Her mind still pushed her to serve her species, but her heart told her that the extermination of other sentient beings was wrong.... While Meta never officially defected or was found guilty of treason, some have reason to believe instances of communications-sabotage or electronics-malfunction had their source in her. Others were much more open, and conflict ensued. In the war's last great battle, she was caught in a fiery detonation and presumed dead or stasis-locked within her gem. She was, in reality, perfectly fine, and fled from battle behind the cover of the firey, listing wreck of the behemoth warship she had once served on, escaping to a little-known planet called Earth....
She fled with great guilt, for it was SHE who destroyed her own ship in a fit of vengeful rage, after a loved one was shattered.
She lingers on the beautiful blue-and-green orb, observing its people, watching over them in secret.... She waits for the monumentous event intuituon tells her will occur here. The saga of rebellion that began on another world, stars away, did not die with the eventual defeat of its instigators, and Meta has suspicions that Homeworld has plans for Earth. If there is a chance her presence can help tip whatever battles may come in favor of Earth's defenders....
The creeping pressence of Corruption among other gems alarms her, but she is nothing if not tenacious, and despite the danger, she refuses to abandon the world she has come to love, and, somehow, respect.
