((Takes place a bit after the fusion-training thread Obsidian and I had. Consider it to take place chronologically in a sort of quiet-spot. Perhaps after BSS is defeated.))
Meta was not terribly used to manual labor. She wasn't weak, by any means. She certainly got enough physical activity to keep her physical body well-maintained.... But brute physical force had never been her specialty. Despite her considerable size, she was not a strong Gem. She could lift around a ton if she really strained herself. Anything else required "cheating", which usually implied the use of rocket-thrusters to push and lift things up or in whatever direction she needed them moved.
But she wasn't doing that now.
The leggy bronze-skinned Gem grunted and strained to lift great blocks of stone and metal and other things that were somewhere inbetween. It was slow, tedious work to make repairs to a structure this size, especially when she knew about as much about construction (or rather, reconstruction) as most construction-officers did about the proper piloting of spacecraft and the navigation of the cosmos...... But here she was, doing it.
It had taken her hours just to sort through the rubble and see what was a piece of what. Some pieces of things were missing, thanks to the sword Thorianite, the fused form of herself and Obsidian, had crafted from the materials of the tower. But she'd managed to index and organize what was left, and she'd made some progress in reassembling the several dozen tons of stonework she'd been partially responsible for demolishing. If nothing else, she atleast wanted the Tower's structual integrity restored.
