Name: Lemurian
Apparent Gender: Male
Apparent Age: Young Adult (18-24)
Gemstone: Lemurian Seed Crystal (Lemurian, for short)
Gemstone Location: Underside of either wrist, spanning only about half of the forearm without coming near the elbow. (#FFF9F1)
Corrupted: Yes, early stage.
Monster Form:
(This is close as I could find; it should be in Lemurian's palette, though.)
Appearance:
Standing at five feet, eight inches head and shoulders, this gem (although relatively newly formed) could be considered the epitome of fitness, at least in physicality. He is toned from neck to toe, with corded muscle that echoes that of an acrobatic more-so than a weightlifter. His skin is a nice, burnished beige-tan (#B2A390), and he is usually naked from the waist up. Upon his legs he wears a loose-flowing pair of brown slacks, tightened at the waist with a tan (#D8CCBE) sash. The sash itself is far too long, hanging off where it is cinched tight. If absolutely necessary, Lem will don a hooded vest the same color as his slacks, which he forms from his gem.
Lemurian has hair that has been shorn short along the sides and left thick and somewhat longer on the top; this extra hair has then been molded up and out in a messy sort of mohawk. Along the shorter, shaven sides of his head intricate designs have been cut into them, the (relatively) lighter color of his skin showing up well beneath his cacao-colored (#645542) hair.
Personality:
Lemurian is a gem that gives himself wholeheartedly to a cause or situation - something that isn't exactly good. Often self-destructive in his actions, he will spend a good deal of time licking his wounds after practically anything he does. This wouldn't be as prominent if it weren't for his detachment from his own body, treating it as if it weren't really him and more as simply a construct for his gem (which it arguably is; if his gem is damaged he does become upset, however little). He also seems very distracted when a task isn't set in stone, often forgetting things or conversations - both of these aspects of himself are very integral, as one can cause the other to flare up in some of the worst times. While he isn't outright hateful, while doing something important (or at least something he is dedicating his energy to) he can seem very single-minded and rigid, often times acting as if no one matters but his task.
This gem does have good qualities, however - barring his flare-ups of the negative, he can be incredibly loyal and will focus his attention on another being as quickly and with just as much intensity as non-tangible concepts. To some this could be disconcerting, but typically he is jovial if cryptic; he delights in talking about his myriad of strange dreams, often weaving entire stories out of whatever scraps he might remember. The amount of truth to these dreams is dubious.

Fears:
Ultimately, Lemurian fears being stuck in complete darkness; his fear of the dark is irrational but quite strong. When his dreams aren't being prophetic and (presumably) fantastic, they're often nightmares of dark spaces; primarily his Hole. Another notable fear would be his fear of great failure that doesn't result in punishment, actual or perceived.
Weapon:
Caestus (plural) that look to be made out of a tan (#D8CCBE) leather-like material that wraps around Lemurian's hands and down his forearms, ending a little bit before his elbows. Rather than one full bolt of material, it seems half-woven together while also making it seem like a cloth wrap, culminating at his knuckles in a thicker wrap studded with small Lemurian Seed Crystals. These crystals can be forced to grow into wand-spikes, though very rarely are. More common is for those crystals to grow into miniature claws to assist with scaling flat surfaces, often seeming to come from the underside of his hands like hand tiger grips.
Ability 1:
Prophetic Dreams
Lemurian often has dreams that feature rather extraordinary elements that prove to be prophetic. This would be useful, if these dreams weren't so jumbled and cryptic - to the point in which they're practically useless to Lemurian, even if he had the capacity to decode them. If by some miracle they are decoded, they seem to focus more on a person (or gem's) emotional/personality path than actual "futures", making it a power made more for growth than utility.
(This wouldn't have much of an "in-game", for lack of a better word, use - could most likely be used as a plot device/RP-inspirator (i.e., his storytelling) than anything mechanically useful.)
Ability 2:
Atomic Vision
Lemurian's vision, when under great duress (typically caused by combat) can be augmented by what appear to be colorful, glowing lights, as if shone through a prism. These lights will envelop the area (to his eyes; they are not visible to others) and highlight any sections of weakness in the walls, weapons, floor, and basic structure. Providing one can give enough force to one of those objects, at precisely the points that are highlighted, those objects will break or shatter. If by some miracle this is accessed outside of combat, there are many uses: breaking and entering, crossing unstable terrain (no more worrying about thin ice!), knowing where not to climb on that tree...
(These lights do not actually make anything weak/prone to being destroyed; they quite literally are just a spotlight for Lemurian to use to his advantage. Oh, your opponent is standing beneath a platform? Those columns are structurally unsound.)
Fusions: N/A
History:
When there was creation, there was light; blinding yet ephemeral - terrifying, new, unknown light. It stayed for what seemed like aeons, but could only possibly have been moments - Lemurian wished it had been longer. With the passing of this light came inky blackness, crawling and proving into this smooth, untouched form only barely formed. It begin as a flicker in the back of his vision; something to be ignored, if one focuses long enough. But Darkness would not be ignored - could not. Tentacles of black moved ever-forward, enveloping the frightening light with the even more gut-rending terror of Corruption. This fresh being, full of potential, forever tainted - thoughts and images entering a mind new to the world: Homeworld, Gems, Humans, Earth. Fight. Survive.
Live.
With this final concept, Lemurian was brought forth in full - but in the dark, he sat, huddled as his body still came together. His mind formed sooner than it should have, thought he could not possibly know this. A form incomplete with a mind ready for the light, trapped in this purgatory of black. The newly-made gem was terrified that this was what awaited him, for eternity - for he knew that is how long he might live, if one could call this living - but what seemed like years passed, and finally his body caught up. With this fulfilled form, he broke from his prison of darkness, vowing to never be caught in it again; he would die in the light of this world's sun, even if he had to do it with the earth's ashes as his death shroud.
But first? Escape.
