It has been several years since Black Pearl has found Rose Quartz healing fountain since then she has made a permanent home out of the small environment around her making her own makeshift hut near the Fountain where she goes to meditate when the area outside has become much too dark. When it is daylight outside she usually meditates ontop of the Statue of Rose Quartz which frequently lets out gallons of precious healing water down into the bottom below the fountain. The sound of the water hitting the bottom of the fountain calms Black Pearl's nerves making her forget her abandonment by the other Gems at Kindergarten. Today she was meditating ontop of the Statues head yet again in her Half lotus pose her black Guandao on her lap as she continued to meditate ontop of the large statue.
Heliotrope sighed as she escaped the sounds of traffic coming from Beach City, her travel through the warp smooth and calm. As she landed on the other side she was relived that it wasn't snowing, unlike her previous visit here. The bright sunlight was rather irritating, but she just pulled a pair of round sunglasses over her eyes, absent-mindedly darkening them a few shades as she walked around, her cane and peg leg making their near-trademark tapping sound on the cobbles as she did so. As she continued onwards toward the fountain she noticed a figure seated atop the statue of Rose.
Noting the weapon Black Pearl had laid across her lap, Heliotrope hesitantly called out to her, "Hey, uh, you all good up there?" Which she followed just as awkwardly with, "Need help getting down or anything?"
Spinel had been and lived in many places on Earth before he chose to settle in Beach City, as it had the highest concentration of Gems. A couple of days ago, he heard of some magic fountain thing, and decided to take a short "vacation" to this fountain. As he was walking, he heard someone's voice.
"Need help getting down or anything?"
As he approached the source of the noise, he walked up to the Gem who had previously spoken and said "I don't think it would be a good idea to irritate or interrupt someone who's meditating, my friend." Spinel walked over to a rock and leaned on it. He looked down at Heliotrope's peg leg. "You do know you can fix that, right?" He said while motioning towards her leg. He didn't want to sound rude or anything, but it was true. Many things can be healed by simply going into your gem, unless it was broken. He looked into her eyes for a second and frowned. "Please forgive my rude remark, I hadn't realized you had injured yourself in such a way that your Gem had cracked. I sincerely hope you can forgive me. Those days must have been dreadful." He was polite, but he wasn't there to make friends. Well, he kinda was. It was his mission to create an alliance of corrupt Gems here in Beach City and this fountain might be a valuable resource to said alliance. He looked at the ground, waiting for the meditating Gem to wake or whatever it's called. He never understood meditation.

Black Pearl turned her head around slowly to see who her intruders were "Shhh...silence I require perfect silence..." she said as she turned her head around and continued to meditate her weapon beginning to float slowly up into the air before stopping at her nose which was in the way she then continued to sigh and moved her head back to let her weapon move up over her head. She continued to do this for several minutes till hearing more voices in the distance causing her to scowl slightly. Before turning around again and looking at them again "SILENCE you are disrupting my peace and tranquility." she said loudly a part of her face morphing slightly before going back to normal possibly the Corruption in her body reacting to anger.
Heliotrope was about to answer Spinel when Pearl shouted, causing her to step back and instinctively use her powers to calm her down a bit. Of course this had the effect of making herself more agitated, but you gotta take the bad with the good.
Turning towards Spinel she whispered, her voice wavering as she spoke, "Maybe we should leave her be, find somewhere more private to speak. She doesn't seem to want company." With that she peered about, searching for somewhere with shade, and preferably some soft grass or leaves to sit on. As she did this she further darkened her sunglasses against the sunlight. To herself she murmured, "Why's the sun have to be so bright...?"
Finally seeing a spot underneath a tree she walked towards it, beckoning for Spinel to follow her.
A man walked past that tree on the path from the warp to the fountain. He was a blue gem in civilian clothes, not unlike the garb of what most humans wore around here. A corrupted man who showed no clear signs of his illness. His Gem was not even crack as it had been with some others.
Aquamarine had heard about this healing fountain a while ago. Since he had came to earth he had always wondered about a few things regarding his arrival. It was all so.... Fuzzy and unclear. Like the static many of the humans had on their primitive viewing monitors, or televisions. He was not sure if it was real or just a dream but he was upset about it to come here. He figured that maybe, just maybe the waters would be able to heal him. He got on his knee's not speaking a word to anyone, he put his hands into the magical waters and brought the water on his face. He rubbed it on his gem situated on his chest. Then he waited... And nothing happened. He looked down, sweating like a sinner in church. His hair wavered purple instead of blue for a moment before deciding on a mix which effected his entire skin tone, making it a blend of the two. He smiled a smile that was a little bit mad, it was ridiculous to think the waters would uncurupt him because he was not corrupt! That is what he thought but something deep in his heart told him no.
Spinel walked over to the tree and sat down next to the peg legged Gem. "So, what was it like to get your Gem cracked by a boulder?" He asked. He loved using his Psychological Tracking ability on people, as their reactions to it gave him even more insight to their personality. As soon as you look Spinel in the eyes, he knew you better than anyone else. He leaned back and waited for a response, and watched as another Gem came over to the fountain.
He tried to multitask, paying attention to both of the Gems near him. He looked back over to the lady under the tree with him and waited for a response. This was the first time he practically gave away his ability, and he was waiting excitedly for a response.
Heliotrope looked at Spinel for a few moments, clearly unsettled by his innate knowledge of her, this being compounded by the agitation she had taken from Black Pearl.
"Err, well it uh... it hurt. A lot. But, losing my leg seemed to stop the warping that the crack caused me to go through." She paused for a moment, looking off into the distance and remembering that moment all those centuries ago. "Maybe gems can only maintain so much body mass, and broken gems less so.... But yeah, painful, traumatizing experience. Not enjoyable, don't really want to talk about it too much." She concluded, toning down the opacity of her sunglasses as she did not need them so much in the shade. Turning back towards Spinel, she asked, "So how about you? What's your life like? Hell, what's your name?"
Spinel stood and bowed. "My name's Spinel. Many people would think my life fun, as I know pretty much everything about everyone right after I look into their eyes, but it's quite sad looking into the pasts of my fellow corrupt Gems." He sat back down and sighed. "Many of us don't know what to do with our lives, so we revert to darker means of life. I want to set us on a better path." It wasn't a complete lie. He did feel bad for his fellow corrupt Gems, but he didn't want to set them on better paths. He wants to make all of the corrupts look out for each other while doing their evil deeds, not getting in the way or annoying them in the process.
"I guess I should tell you all about me, as I know everything about you. It's only fair, and I feel that I can trust you." Spinel told Heliotrope about how he erased his past from his own mind, told her his likes, dislikes, and fears, and even told her his abilities and showed her his weapons. What made him trust her so much he didn't know, but he did. It was a surprisingly quick summary about himself, as he didn't know much about himself.
Spinel turned to the Gem next to the fountain and waved, attempting to get his attention while making motions for him to come to the tree.
Aquamarine stood up and walked over to Spinel. "Hello, my name is Aquamarine." He said once he was far away enough from the fountain not to bother black pearl. "You can tell anything about somone once you look into their eyes? What a useful peice of Magic.... Don't suppose you can tell if a gem in corrupt then can you? I mean..." He put his hand on his gem, feeling it through his shirt. It was as smooth as ever. "I think my gam might have some internal damage, I'm not really sure if there are any other markers of being currupt." He looked into her eyes, his own were a bit hopefull that she soule be telling him good knees but a bit afraid if she could not tell or if he actually did have so thigh wrong with him.
Spinel stood and looked into Aquamarine's eyes, processing Aquamarines current thoughts, his past, his personality, everything. Not only was he figuring out if Aquamarine was corrupt or not, he was also figuring out who Aquamarine was. After a few seconds, Spinel closed his eyes and sat back down, still processing the information. In another few seconds, he looked Aquamarine in the eyes again and stated, "You're you. I know what you are. I know if you're corrupt, but the real question is, do you really want to know?" Spinel laughed at himself, and was hoping to do a little mind-trickery. Aquamarine wasn't going to join Spinel and his efforts, he wasn't dark enough. He closed his eyes again and relaxed, leaning against the tree, and waiting for a response.
"Well yes I want to know! I would not have asked you really if I just wanted you to know now would I? Am I a corrupt gem?" Aquamarine was a little bit mad at this. He had already decided that he wanted to know even if it was not what he wanted to hear. His body was turning more purple. He was on the edge of turning into him again. If he was told that he was corrupt it would be highly likely that the other guy would come out. Odds are, Spinel did not know about Violet. He had his hands clenched into fists. He NEEDED to know, it was not about him it was about the people he might hurt.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
