Agate stopped as Carbide met him half way, holding a green gem in her hand and what looked like a body over her shoulder. It was odd to see a poofed gem again, like corrupted gems the sight unnerved him. Maybe it was some sort of empathy, or maybe it was because he feared the thought of that occurring to him. "Hmm, I wonder what he was doing that caused him to crash like that. Mind if I see it?" He summoned a pair of dark blue gloves and outstretched his hand for the gem. He was morbidly curious to see a gem so close, since he hadn't seen one in months. On top of that he had an idea on how to help the retreated gem, so at least they could have more than a one way conversation.
The suit of armor intrigued him, he'd never seen a gem have such a odd piece of equipment. At least these sort of things usually poofed with the gem, so it had to be physical. It also worried him how he got there, as it was unlikely he just fell from the sky. Maybe something was in the area... maybe even something was coming to finish him off...

Several minutes later, a wave of bright light blared out from the gem as it rose into the air, a white body extending from the green oval. The form finalized, lowering to the ground as Fuscite appeared in a Homeworld jumpsuit, the same one Pearls wore, albeit green. He took a moment to scan his surroundings, then the old gem's dark eyes fell onto Carbide. Not actually, he was eyeing the suit, but it could easily be confused. Without warning, a Holo-Fusxite from behind grabs the suit and handed it over to the real Fuscite, who donned the armor extremely quickly. He took a few seconds before putting on the helmet, shaking his head slightly and mumbling to himself prior to the helmet concealing his features once more.

Carbide jumps a bit as the gem leaps out of her palm and hangs in the air, forming a body for itself of radiant green light, bearing what looks to be an old version of a homeworld suit. She moves to take a step closer to the newly regenerated gem, speaking in a soft voice, her hands held up non threateningly..
"Hey... heyy.. you may want to slow it down a bit and not rush things, you really touched down hard, it might hav-..." She is cut off in surprise, few things able to get the drop on her, not expecting a holo-clone, that swiftly hefts the suit from her shoulders and returns it to its owner.
She tilts her head, watching the gem silently don the armor, moving with a speed and urgency more befitting a human trying to escape a fire, or keep their head above water in the ocean. "...Are you alright? you're safe for now, you can relax. I'm Carbide, and this is Agate *motioning to the smaller blue gem* Are you sure you're alright? Can you tell me your name?" Her eyes remaining fixed on that old suit, her curiosity mounting by the second, but tempering it with a sense of caution.
Agate quickly lowed his hand and took a step back as the gem shot up and began to glow. He hadn't seen this happen that often but it was already clear, the gem was reforming. He watched calmly as whoever it was began re-shaping. The mannequin shape quickly grew detail into a green gem in some sort of suit just in front of him. Just a few moments later, and without a word, a copy of the gem (albeit in less detail) grabbed the now identified suit of armor from Carbide and just as quickly the gem donned it, seemingly satisfied to be protected once again. Agate let Carbide introduce him, simply smiling when she said his name. He was an odd gem, he acted as if he was planning every word before he would respond to either of them. He made his way over by Carbide's side, a little bit behind her. Better safe than sorry.

Fuscite looked up towards the two gems, his posture slightly relaxed with the armor on. He tilted his head slightly to the side as the rugged gem talked to him. The blue gem seemed to cower behind the rugged gem for some reason. Suddenly, Fuscite shivered a bit and he straightened out. Nodding to Carbide's first question inquiring of his condition. When the rugged gem wished to ascertain his name though, Fuscite thought for a moment. What was he to tell this gem? He was a Fuscite, yes, but he had a name. Yet that name was only spoken by his brothers who were long gone. "Name..."Fuscite paused."...I am... A Fuscite." The words slowly came out, as if he were filtering his language.

Carbide looks puzzled for a moment, her eyes breaking focus on the armoured gem for a moment, as she wracks her mind.. Fuscite.. Fuscite.. Fuscite.. that's ringing so many bells for her, but they aren't at the forefront of her everyday knowledge. She releases a breath she hadn't quite realized she had been holding. Then it clicks and her hand draws up to her mouth a moment, it was an impossible chance meeting but she was standing before a Gem so old that the chances of such a limited production run of scout, were astronomically small. To the best of her recollection, he might be one of a series of deep space scouts that lost contact with home world, eons before she was even a twinkle in the eyes of the Blue Diamond division kindergartners.
"Fuscite, hmmm, that's good, okay..Mind if I ask what happened to make you fall from the sky like that?" She strides a step forward, hands still upheld, but moving in to get a slightly closer look once again... "You've been around a long time, haven't you?" Her eyes soften a bit..
Agate listened to the gem as he seemed to struggle with his own name for a while. 'Fuscite'. At least it was something. The gem was an odd one indeed, being dressed in that suit of armor being the most prominent feature. On top of that he seemed to be... he hesitated to say slow but he acted as if he was used to having hours to think things over rather than minutes. It was also pretty clear he probably wasn't from around here, or Earth for that matter. He stepped out from behind Carbide, the gem seemed more confused than hostile. Though he let Carbide question him, for now he'd just watch. It did worry him though that something had to launch him in the air like that. Although Fuscite didn't seem too worried about it at the moment.

Fuscite looked up at the sky, facing from where he had fallen. The large creature did not follow him here. For they'd know if it did. It was probably tucking itself in to one of the floating islands, waiting to attack some other thing that happened to wake it. "Nothing to... worry about here." Fuscite looked around at the kindergarten."Where...Are we anyways?" The old explorer looked back towards the rugged gem and the blue gem. The rugged one seemed to recognize him. As she stepped forward, Fuscite noticed she had her arms up. Perhaps she was trying to seem less like a threat? "You don't have... To keep your arms..up." He said. Fuscite hadn't seen the rugged gem before,so how did she know who he was? Was he still talked about on Homeworld? Not him specifically but the Fuscites as a whole. The blue gem had no idea who he was however, so maybe he wasn't that much of a big subject.

Carbide lets her hands drop, settling into a more relaxed pose, with one resting on a cocked hip. "Well, I'd say youve landed in the middle of Earth's derelict primary kindergarten. Not exactly the safest or most homey place on this rock, but it seems to be a hot bed of gem and corrupt activity. Not to mention the bits of old gem tech that are strewn about, some folks find that to be handy salvage.." She shrugs and returns to eyeing the suit.
"Hey look, I've got to ask, that suit of yours looks like an old MK I pre-explorartion era.. maybe early eploration era Survival suit? Are...are you one of Home World's first run of purpose created explorer gems? Because if you are, then you must be one of the early models they breifed me on back on home world a few thousand years ago when I emeged.. I guess that would make me your diiiiiiiistant successor then."
"So, once again, Carbide, designation: protoype heavy planetary advance scout, purpose specific to hazardous volcanic, geologically unstable, and life form designation Hostile, colony world site Scout, very pleased to meet you!"
A bit of her inner history geek was showing, and she was visibly a little excited, slightly uncharacteristic of her usually collected and calm demeanor.
Agate watched Fuscite closely, he was odd indeed. It wasn't that unusual for a gem not to know what this place was, but why was he here? And how could he be sure he wasn't being followed? He kept his questions to himself, letting Carbide do the talking for now. Though she quickly went from questioning the gem's origin to... well... The only human word he knew to describe it was 'fan-girling'. Though according to her this gem was some sort of ancient explorer? What was he doing here then? Seeing as he, and a lot of other gems, were here it seemed Earth was pretty well explored. And to be older than Carbide, that truly put him up there in gem years. It was... odd for him to hear Carbide refer to herself in such a military fashion. He wasn't sure why, but it bothered him. He did his best to shrug it off and then coughed into his fist, "Well, if you're done exchanging ages I'd like to properly introduce myself." He turned to Fuscite, "Like my friend said, I'm Agate. I was actually made here on Earth, in the 'Primary Kindergarten'. And although some people don't think it's very welcoming," he winked at Carbide, "I actually live around here. It's usually not so... filled with gems. Nice to meet you Fuscite." He stuck out his hand, dark blue gloves still on. They had been a addition to his outfit lately.

Fuscite looked at the rugged gem for several seconds after she had finished her dialogue. He slowly nodded up and down, answering her question and taking in the information he has just received. She definitely seemed to know who he was. The blue gem still wasn't aware. It didn't matter much to the old gem, seeing as how he was probably out among the stars before they were even thought of."Nice to... Meet you too...Carbide." Fuscite was starting to like the rugged gem. She was a scout like him, albeit newer. Maybe he could teach her a few things some time. She was going to need it if she wanted to survive. Fuscite's head rotated when the blue gem started speaking. Apparently the blue gem was made here. Interesting. So that's what this giant...thing hey were in was for. Creating gems. The explorer extended his armored hand and shook the blue gem's gloved hand. After the handshake was finished, Fuscite looked around once more, looking at the walls. Maybe this was what he was made to do. Die for the creation of new gems. Not necessarily die, but that was the most common thing that happened.

Carbide regains her composure, clearing her throat with a closes hand raised to her mouth, a blackish plum blush fading from her cheeks from her…fangirl..moment, her eyes glancing over at Agate a moment, noticing his moment of discomfort..
“Sorry Agate, I know that probably sounded somewhat uncharacteristic of me, and was a mouthful of information to drop all at once, but.. *she turns to face them both now*.. while I am largely familiar with what I am and what my capabilities are, I still don’t really know much about the planning stages of my development, if theres more carbides out there at all even.. gets a lil lonely on some levels. Could be that they stopped with just me hmm? Couldn’t handle more than one of me, yeah? Not like they let me peek at my ‘blueprints’ after I emerged, prototype and all.”
She tries to make her words sound a little defiant than they really are, her largely transparent plum visor, shifting to a largely opaque consistency, hiding her eyes completely as she swallows a bit of a sniffle then huffs, stomping off just a few wide paces and kicking a fist sized rock, sending it sailing across the valley floor in a high arc, landing with a distant "clack" in the errie silence of the kindergarten.
Agate watched Carbide as she turned and stomped away a few feet, feeling more than a little guilty. He shouldn't have reacted like that, he knew Carbide. Wherever she was from, whatever she used to be he knew she was a good gem. No matter her background, she was a friend. He smiled awkwardly and Fuscite and held up a finger, "Uh.. heh heh... uhm... One second, sorry. Wait right here!" He caught up to Carbide, stepping up next to her, "Hey, uh... so you're pretty hung up on possibly being the only Carbide out there, huh?" He shuffled around in place, maybe not the best way to go about this but he was never great with words, "Well, uhm... Even if you are the only Carbide out there I think that just makes you special. And uhm... I'm here for you..." He rubbed his arm, unsure if he should continue or not. Eventually he glanced at Fuscite, "Maybe we shouldn't keep our guest waiting..." He waited for her response, a little uncomfortable, but he didn't want to leave her side till he knew she was alright.

Fuscite shook his head."Numbers...Don't matter. In the end...Only...one remains. Always." He walked up and placed a hand on Carbide's shoulder."You...are a scout like...me. You... Will need help if you... Want to survive more than... One planet." He lowered his head slightly."Be...Proud you survived. Become better... I can help...you get." The green gem removed his hand and spin on his heel, taking several steps away as he waited for a response from the rugged gem. If she was anything like he was, she would benefit from everything he had to offer. Homeworld planetary exploration scouts gotta stick together, ya know? Besides, Fuscite thought, maybe the rugged gem could somewhat replace his brothers once he managed To acquire functioning ship.

Carbide lifts her head, the visor gradually transitioning from opaque to transparent once again as she takes a deep draught of the cool night air, the combined words of Agate and the mysterious Fuscite seem to smooth her feathers over somewhat, a quiet humble chuckle slipping from her throat, she turns to face them both once again.
"You know, I've survived more than one world, quite a few actually.... for a gem of my age I mean *she corrects herself in reverence for the much older Fuscite* but for quite a while I had convinced myself that I had stopped keeping track of how many worlds I had been on and survived...437. Most of those were when I still worked for home world.. spend a few years on a mission and maybe get to enjoy a week back home before.. zooom, off I'd get sent again. But that's still more than an explorer like you ever got to do. It sounds like an okay number, but I've got to admit, that if I weren't designed the way I am, for this purpose, well I'm sure I'd have been shattered a dozen times by now if I were a normal gem, durability wise..So yeah, a lot to learn still, I'll admit it...there seems to be a few gems recently come into my life that I want to look out for properly."
Her gaze drifts down to Agate and she chuckles again.
Melody: how are you doing? Are you going to make a character in here?

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
