Personality: Egotistic about her work, cocky, cold hearted, she takes any danger so she can gain advantage over her enemies (even using fusion as a last resort to any means) , she tends to manipulate other gems to do her bidding, she underestimates anyone who is lower in rank to her, and she is unstable sometimes. Ironically she believes that she can lead homeworld better than the Diamonds and would sometime plan to overthrow against them.




Likes/Dislikes: She loves homeworld, whatever her research or project were to be completed it would mean the world for her. She dislikes anyone who would rebel or oppose homeworld or she hates it when her projects/research would fail on her.



Fears: Being shattered, and losing her loyality to homeworld, confronting about her past, and dealing with failure with any of the Diamonds.



Weapon: Macuahuitl. Obsidian's macuahuitl is able to lunch sharp shards of Obsidian fragments from it's side when swung hard enough, once lunched Obsidian's macuahuitl is able to regrow the lost shards once again.

Abilities: Heat resistance (Meaning that something usually super duper hot won't affect her to some extent) EXMAPLE: Obsidian dumps herself with a bucket of lava, to her it feels like a warm shower..whatever a shower is anyway. 

              Lava Fasting: Usually works when Obsidian decides to dump herself with lava (Hence the Heat Resistance ability to kick it, it won't burn her or hurt her at all) depending how the cooling process goes when the lava cools off it can be either;

(If it cools off quickly) Obsidian: used for any damage done to her for repairments or maybe regrow lost limbs
(If it cools off slowly) Granite: Used to become armor for Obsidian, sadly the only downside of doing this is waiting for a long time for this to actually work and not only that she has no full control of the momentum within the Granite, loosing a lot of mobility and speed.

History:

Obsidian worked with a group of mercenaries namely called the Black Palm Stone, as a protege and learner of cat eye twin's she learned what she can and performed well enough in the field. Obsidian strived to become someone out of the norm, someone different than most of her other "Obsidians" so she become someone else and joined the Black Palm Stone, within the next mission she would meet someone who she used to held close too, Heliotrope.

Heliotrope was a gem that won over the affection from Obsidian, from there they would fuse together for extended amounts of time. They were the young lovers in the Black Palm Stone, the duo that most people feared once they fused or work together.

It was in one mission, everything went to absolute chaos, Obsidian had betrayed her group to Homeworld. Yellow Diamond offered something to Obsidian that she dreamed of, a chance. chance of becoming someone different and change the world so that the gems in homeworld acknowledges her.  So with that offer Obsidian betrayed her lover and friends for a chance of becoming someone that every gem will know. Obsidian was the one responsible for the death of the whole Black Palm Stone group except for one gem, Heliotrope. Obsidian couldn't have the "guts" to shatter her, so she formulated a plan to fake her own shattering when Heliotrope was hunting for her. She used a gem prisoner and used one of her projects to actually mimick herself and sent the fake Obsidian to a place where she knew Heliotrope would try to find her for sure. She'd gotten reports of the project turned out successful, meaning that poor test subject faced the wraith of Heliotrope, with that out of the way Obsidian soon developed a sick twisted mind about using gems to further "improve" the way of both defensive and technological use of Homeoworld with using useless gems..


Obsidian, known as The Mad Scientist back in homeworld. Obsidian was the gem who created most weapons for homeworld for defensive measures. Recently she has been tasked to make "gem"-like weapons (biological weapons to make it easier to understand for its concept.) and been testing on herself and some..."Test subjects" over several years. Most gems would be in total disgust of what most projects Obsidian turned out to be (And ironically they turned out to be successful weapons for Homeworld) but Obsidian wouldn't care about the safety of the "Test Subjects" or her companions, which has earned her the title "The Mad Scientist" . Over for a while the board and the diamonds themselves decided to shut down Obsidian projects and ordered for all work of Obsidian Gem-like weapons to be terminated. This enraged Obsidian and pleaded to yellow Diamond for her works to be saved from termination. Yellow Diamond thought about this and decided that it's best for homeworld if Obsidian continued working.



Obsidian only option to continue her work would be to travel to earth with a team of Scientist and a small group of gems for her to work on. (I mean, it wouldn't matter much since Obsidian would test on herself as well..) Obsidian agreed to this option and gathered most of her tools and left for earth where she setted up a base within a volcano. With her ability of creating weapons for homeworld before, she can create most weapons for herself to use and create some "droids" to help her out. Obsidian last report of some project before leaving homeworld only known to the selected Scientist she took with her Earth was called  "Ultima"



Character Arc (Prequel; This forum timeline basically)

Chapter 1.  Madly Beginnings.                                                 (Land on Earth with group of test subjects and scientists)

1)  Obsidian will land and start using her droids to recon the area she landed on.

1) Create more weapons using gem substance which means Obsi will have to go and capture more gems alive once she runs out.

1) Obsidian will start making Stellaria(Goldstone) units to increase her chance to easily capture gems for her work.

1) Attempts to capture gems in her other  ship (keep in mind two ships were transported here; one for the scientists and Obisdian and one for the capture gem test subjects.) and proceed to experiment on them. (Some may escape)


Chapter 2. Obsidian's Fall                                          ( Rebels or enemies of homeworld will encounter Obsidian.)

2)Rebels will encounter Obsidian ship with her in it, they destroy it but Obsidian will escape 

2)Obsidian will try to communicate for homeworld but fails because of rebels intervene (Several times) 

2) enemies or rebels of homeworld will proceed to find Obsidian base (a second ship) and destroy it and finally capture the Mad Scientist.

2) Obsidian will escape somehow and find a new base to hide in.



Chapter 3. The Mad Scientist's counter/ The birth of "Ultima"

3)Proceed to capture a new base but will confront Rebels and take them down.

3)Initiate plan Ultima

Go through several types of creating Ultima (Which they all fail in the end)

3)Create Ship Ultima and proceeds to capture gems for it's main powercore.

3) Crystal Gem will destroy Ship Ultima and Obsidian will be forced to retreat back into her base.

3)The Final confrontation between Obsidian and the "crystal gems" (or rebels either way.) with her Ultima completed.

3)Rebels or Crystal Gems will defeat the Ultima and engage a "Final Battle" against Obsidian.

3) ?

3) Obsidian will become a Crystal Gem (How? well we'll see that in a rp post  )

Tiny detail, Obsidian seemed to be a somewhat common gem on here. It doesn't mean anything just that in universe they are not super rare (still somewhat rare, only 5 on here and i don't believe any are active), but, you know, it nice to sorta form gem rarities based on the frequency of character created with them.

It was just a heads up saying 'hey your character is part of a species based on a caste based society, as such other members have used that gem in one form or another aswell' Some people may want to change their gem when they learn that they are not the only one who has created it. So i generally leaves a heads up for people if the gem is been used on here.

I'm a little iffy about these amber units, it seems like your basically setting yourself up to get a army you can control.So im going to need more details about exactly what they are and how they function (feel free to PM me if you want to keep it more secretive)


On top of that, being able to go around in a spaceship is very strong aswell, your protected from most attacks and are logically bigger and more powerful than other gems and it pretty much means that the only way a enemy can win a fight is by damaging or destroying the ship.So you can have a ship for general travel or chasing, but for actual 'fighting', not so much, because if you did have it for combat it would end up one of two ways.

1. The ship is mostly immune to gem attacks and you basically get a free advantage.
2. The ship is not immune and basically its destroyed or heavily damaged in the first thread you use it in. Remembering unlike a gem,it cant regenerate so you basically are stuck without it after that.

Okay i got it.

I am okay with the ships being destroyed. One thing that is highly a huge disadvantage of my oc is because she's to proud of her works *aka the ships or anything she creates* and usually have one big flaw.

The (2) ships that she brings in from homeworld are NOT made for fighting, only for transport, if you're wondering how she "captures" most gems is because with the help of her little circular droids (The little ball thingy in my picture) and stun them enough for Obsidian to place them in her ship. Keep in mind that the ship is only for transport meaning that the ship can be EASILY destroyed by a fusion or by another ship that actually has lasers or anything that can blow up.

I try to set up Obsidian very weak (because she's a scientist not a warrior or bodyguard) because i don't want to make her to OP for people not to rp with her.

The droid are just like little helpers, they are not used for any offensive tatics that Obsidian has in store for them.

Yes, they do have defensive mechanisms but they are not as strong enough as the stellera troopers.

It's like with Peridots little robot things she had earlier seasons ago.

In all honesty i would rather keep the little droids and ill gladly remove the stellera troopers. If that what has to come.

considering how weak the bots seem to be ill allow you to keep them and the Goldstone units aswell, of course you do realise they are not going to be that easy to transport around. Even if they were in retreated forms you really couldn't have that many in your hands or in bubbles around you (like 6 tops). It means if you wanted to overwhelm people you would really need to have them be pretty close to your base or in your base itself.

I don't plan on overwhlemming people at least, unless it's a base take over (which that means a lot of planning and time to create the units and plan to do so.) She's not going to be using these units all the time, they're just grunts for her to order around when she needs resources.
