Fuscite stood atop one of the floating islands, gazing at the sunset. Suddenly, he spun on his heel and lowered his body as a bright green set of blades whooshed past where his head was. Using the momentum, Fuscite swung around and slammed his fist into the hologram, sending it careening off the island. He stood the for several seconds before summoning two Holo-Fuscites and having them fight each other. The old green gem sat down and, leaning on the slope of the island, propped his head up and watched the two holograms participate in combat. It was a pretty nifty way to pass the time. You know what would be even more nifty? More holographic gladiatorial combat. The explorer chuckled to himself as six holograms appeared and went at each other, forming teams of three.
Jadeite had heard of the islands, and decided she want to check them out. She figured they may even aid her on her studies. She climbed happily from island to islands making steps out of plants. She soon heard the sound of blades crashing in the distance and decided to check it out.
As she got closer she saw a gem sitting there happily watching, Holograms maybe?, fighting eachother. She drew closer and could see the gem she was approaching more clearly now. She quietly walked up behind him to introduce herself, but lost her focus and starred at the holograms fighting. 'Is he making them fight? Why is he making them fight? What's the point of this little battle?' She thought to herself as she stared blankly at the holograms. She snapped out of it and remembered what she was doing. She walked closer to the gem. "Hello there! Have you by chance seen any corrupted gems in the area?" She spoke kindly as she started walking closer. "My name is Jadeite by the way." She said as she walked right beside this other gem.
Recently the small blue gem Agate had heard of a few gem locations and was on a sort of sight seeing tour to explore his gem heritage. First up, this 'Sky Temple'. So far, the trek up to the main temple was a journey and a half, but it certainly was pretty. Lots of green plants and golden sunlight. He took his time traversing the path but eventually found himself at the temple itself. He stopped and whistled aloud, it sure was something special. It took him a long minute to manage his way inside and up to the main area, a large arena looking room. And inside was eight gems! Wait... six of the same gem and two different ones? And the six were fighting each other in some sort of large duel. He stopped and watched for a minute, seeing one of the gems get speared by some sort of bladed weapon. "Oh! No...?" He yelled out in surprise but instead of poofing they sort of... fizzled. Holograms. Cool! He'd only seen those in human films.
After watching the display Agate began walking towards the two gems in the stands and attempted to sneak behind them. He didn't really have any ill intent, more of a cautious curiosity. He had no reason not to trust them, but you never know how... aggressive a gem might be. He made his way to the side of the stands, unsure whether or not he was spotted but stayed in cover anyways, eavesdropping on their conversation, "... Jadeite by the way." He had a name at least, that's a start.
Though he didn't usually sleep without being in his corrupt form, Spinel laid dormant in the dome of the Sky Temple, his humanoid form the one in use. As luck would have it, the night he chose to do this would be the night some more of his long forgotten memories would haunt him in his sleep. Though they did this quite often, it wasn't so frequent as to give up sleep for, and so he persevered through them as he always did. Going through the horrors of the past was something that was easily forgotten, after all.
Throughout the night and day he slept, the memories came back in small pieces, adding to his confusion, fueling his fear and anger, the memories were taunting him. They eluded him just enough as to keep him in suspense, wanting to find out more to see if the memory was worth forgetting. As the sun laid near the edge of the sky, he finally awoke, irritated at the long hours he just spent. With a heavy groan, he pushed against his temples and wiped the memory of the dreams from his mind.
Deciding it wasn't best to sleep any further, he stood, and begun to journey the islands around the Sky Temple. If he was to continue living here, as he had done for quite some time, then he would need to know the locale. After a while, the sun begun to set, and Spinel found his way to the old Sky Arena he was once told of. The area was certainly not in its best condition, but it was still a relic that should be enjoyed. As he approached it, he heard the sounds of swords clashing, and found the same holograms from the communication hub fighting inside the arena. With a puzzled look, Spinel stood in the archway, watching the figures compete in gladiatorial combat, unaware of the other Gems inside the arena.

The explorer allowed himself to relax a bit more as he watched the holograms flip and slice through the air. It was quite a spectacle. Granted, he'd rather have real combatants, but Gems weren't extremely consistent and humans were just too fragile. Seriously, you could kill one of the organic creatures by flicking it. Anyways, he had complete control over the holograms, which proved to be amusing at times. If he wanted to, Fuscite could make his holograms stop fighting and dance. But Fuscits did not do that, instead jolting upright as he heard footsteps approaching from behind. Shipping himself into a standing posture, Fuscite had swiveled to face the source of the sounds; two Gems. As the cape swirled down to his feet, the yellow diamond on his chest plate was not exactly hidden.
Jadeite quickly backed up as he stepped closer. When she noticed the yellow diamond on his chest plate. 'He must be aligned with homeworld. Ugh, but he's probably just a brute if he's under Yellow Diamonds command.' She thought while she sat in complete silence for a minute then remembered there might be need to speek, "Ummm.... Did you hear me?" She basically yelled this time. She wasn't aware of any other gems in the arena other than herself and this homeworld brute. "I'm Jadeite. Aligned with Homeworld. Under white Diamond." She said so hopefully he wouldn't attack her. She continued to take a few more steps back and bumped into someone and fell. She looked up seeing SPinel. She quickly jumped up and stared at spinel happy to see a familiar face.
Agate continued trying his best to hide from the sight of the other gems, however as one of them suddenly turned around towards his direction he was caught by surprise and gave at something that could only be described as a 'yap' which made him blush, even though he was alone. They clearly weren't his usual crowd, and the diamond of one of their suits confirmed it. "Aligned with Homeworld. Under white Diamond." Doubly confirmed. He had difficulty holding his breath as one of the gems started backing away past him. He didn't recognize her but in case she saw him he simply put a finger up to his mouth and made a 'shh' signal. A brief second before they collided Agate spotted yet another gem a little ways off in the doorway. At least this one he recognized as Spinel. Then 'BAM!' the green gem and Spinel collided.
Agate hoped the other gems were distracted enough to not spot him, as he didn't have a better spot to hide in. He'd be stuck there till they moved or spotted him. Not that he was too afraid of these gems in particular, but he had fun sneaking up on people. And it paid to be informed about the group you were getting involved in. Alternatively if things went south he could always retreat and visit this place whenever it would be less like a war zone.
As the holo-fuscites fought to the death, Spinel just watched, allowing the more recent memories to flow through his mind. "Reminds me of Rome." He muttered, watching the makeshift gladiators compete in a game of life and death. "They were such an imperialistic people, so bloodthirsty." He said quietly. As he continued to watch the holograms fight, he felt something bump into him, and he looked down to see the green Gem from a while ago jump up. "Nice to see you again." He said with a smile.
As he looked away from Jadeite and back to the holo-Fuscites, he had a look of curiosity on his face. "Have you ever seen those things before? They're so... Strange." He paused, watching them continue to fight. "Synthetic Gems, such an ungodly idea." He murmured, looking down at Jadeite once more.

Fuscite looked at Jadeite for several seconds through his visor. Granted, all the green gem before him could see was a helmet, so there was no telling where the armored wanderer was gazing. He remained still as she backed up, the holograms dissipating into tiny green diamonds. He followed her gaze upward and saw the serpentine gem from the communications hub he had encounted several...days, weeks?, prior. Fuscite realized he would need to sharpen his ability to tell time if he wanted to do things on this planet. Reeling his focus back in, Fuscite took a single step backwards upon seeing the snake, having remembered what it did with the holograms. Fuscite had never seen anything like Spinel before. He was...ungodly.
Jadeite smiled awkwardly not really sure where this brute was looking. "Ummmm....." She said awkwardly trying to think of something to say until Spinel quickly broke the silence, "Yah back on homeworld I met a few gems who could do this. I've never met a gem who could make so many at once." She said looking at Spinel then back at the holograms seeing they had disappeared. "Ummm, I really don't want to be rude, but you can talk can't you?" She said looking at the brute slightly scared as she very slightly hid behind Spinel. 'This guys really creeping me out.' She thought waiting for a response from this brute. ' Hmm I wonder what rank he is.' She thought trying to get her mind off her scardness.
Agate gave a sigh of relief, he'd managed to avoid detection so far. Grinning, he decided to press his luck. He began inching his way along the wall towards the gems. He was still curious what so many gems, including two familiar ones, were doing together. He wasn't so sure he'd manage to avoid their sight, but they seemed pretty distracted in whatever conversation they were having. Added on by one of them tripping over Spinel. He neared the group, keeping his back to the wall just past the doorway. He was practically in the open but they were almost all focused on a single brutish gem. "This guy is really creeping me out." The green gem spoke up just as he was within earshot. He stood there as silently as possible, trying to figure out the situation before finally 'revealing' himself.
Upon hearing Jadeite's comment on synthetic Gems, Spinel walked around her and begun to move towards Fuscite. "Excuse me for a moment." He said to her as he made his way around her. When he made it up the stairs, he walked passed Agate, ignoring him and moving his way to the Gem he had 'seen' before. It was obvious he wasn't going to be very diplomatic with Fuscite.
"And what were those synthetics doing at the communication hub not to long ago, my friend?" He asked as he moved his way closer. "I wouldn't suppose you had anything to do with it." He said sarcastically, noting how the holograms were nearly identical to him. "Would you care to explain it to me?" Spinel was now just outside the green Gem's personal space, an impatient look on his face as he crossed his arms behind his back. "Well, are you going to say anything or not?"

Fuscite watched as Jadeite conversed with the serpentine gem. He began pacing, trying to recall who White Diamond was. This being that the other green gem, Jadeite, served under was probably related somehow to whoever he insignia on his chest represented. As he dug deeper into his thoughts, he didn't notice Spinel approach and question him. He continued pacing, back and forth, back and forth, arms folded and a hand resting at his chin in a thinking position. A very faint mumbling could be heard from Fuscite, as if he were trying to recall something. Suddenly, he froze, the helmet facing upwards and the visor glowing a bright green. A holographic rectangle of a good size appeared, and nothing appeared. It was blank...And then it wasn't. The bright green lowered into an orb. The view shook slightly, and then lowered to a table. On said table was all of his gear minus the large cape. He was projecting memories. The view sped up as if on fast forward until just a blur was visible, and then slowed to regular speed when Fuscite was outside on the surface of Homeworld, albeit one they probably wouldn't recognize. He was surrounded by other gems in identical armor. It would be safe to assume they were other Fuscites. They were on some kind of giant runway, a huge crowd of gems cheering from raised stands. The Fuscites all saluted and began marching towards a fleet of space vehicles. Suddenly, the view slowed, panned, and zoomed in slightly towards a set of stands higher than the rest. And on those stands...were the Diamonds. The view zoomed in even more on the white one. "This...White Diamond?" Fuscite inquired, still frozen in his posture.
As Spinel pushed past her she could tell he was not happy. She stood still for a moment as Spinel confronted this stranger about something and the brute seemed focused on something. He didn't seem to even care about Spinel he just was pacing. She then saw a large screen playing something that was obviously being projected by the brutes gem. The screen zoomed in on the diamonds, and then white diamond.
She stood still for a mo0ment trying to figure out what was going on, "Uhh, yah that's White Diamond." She said extremely confused. 'Well I see he can talk, though his grammar doesn't sound the best.' She thought and started to step closer to this gem. She starting going up the steps when she swore she noticed another gem out of the corner of her eye and froze for a moment not really sure about what to do. She stood there looking at the brute, but every now and then glancing over to where she saw a gem.
HomeWorld *White Diamond* Jadeite P.S. Unless I state other wise I'm always wearing my boots and gloves. Meet my alt! Petalite
Agate stopped inching closer, he could hear the gems fairly clearly. His breath caught in his throat as Spinel passed him. He thought he was finally spotted, but he didn't even stop. He gave a sigh of relief and started listening in on the conversation of the other gems. He had his ear turned towards the group so he didn't spot the green gem stealing looks at him. Nor did he see the worry in her eyes that a gem was 'sneaking' up on them. From what he could hear they were discussing the diamonds, specifically a white diamond. Something about the name sounded familiar, but he couldn't place it. While he was listening he eyed Spinel as he walked by and confronted a gem he couldn't see from his position. It sounded like an interrogation was happening just a few feet away. Even though Spinel spotted him he didn't want to show himself just yet, so he kept his position against the wall.

This Roleplay is a prequel to Steven Universe to an extent with some slight retconing and its own progression to the story that will turn out differently to how stuff plays out in the show. Thanks to the message by Rose Quartz several gems are rising up to protect Earth and have labelled themselves as the Crystal Gems. Others on earth are remaining aligned to Homeworld though despite the isolation of Earth from Homeworld
All gems on earth are still stranded, the communication hub is still offline and all the space warps are shattered, it has now been revealed that this is the work of Rose Quartz and her small group known as the Crystal gems. They have rebelled against Homeworld and have chosen to protect the Earth (Trapping themselves on Homeworld to keep the warps down).
Now both sides are fighting among themselves along with fighting against the 'Corruption' a virus is infecting many gems turning most of them into mindless monsters, but those with a stronger will seem to becoming something more sinister.
The Game has changed now. The question has finally been posed, are you against Homeworld or allied with them. Or do you have your own agenda that may or may not been assisted by the ‘Corruption’. Regardless the seeds have been placed down and although it is only the beginning the fight for or against Earth and the corruption has begun. The choice is yours for how it is shaped on the Original Steven Universe Roleplay Site.
Orginal Opening Plot Here Thread That Changed Everything
Differances Between the Roleplay and the Show
*Thanks to Rose Quartz' message the Gems on Earth are entirely aware that the Homeworld Gems intend to wipe out the human race.
*The "corruption"'s Origin is still unknown, some suspect it was a viral infection, other claim it was a Diamond experiment gone awry and other suspect the organics were behind it. Regardless no one seem to have a proper answer about what it was and why its only isolated to Earth
*Garnet, Pearl and Rose are assumed capture on Homeworld
*Garnet,Pearl and Rose broke the space warps to delay Homeworld
*Thanks to Roses Message gems now know what the Kindergarten was used for
