The Following is a replacement for the character Albite, AKA, Bonedaicious.
Name: Giovanni Apollo
Appeared Gender: Male
Appeared Age: 26 (actually 1,095)
Gemstone: Yellow Tourmaline
Gemstone Location: His gemstone is located over his left cheekbone.
Corrupted: No
Appearance: With pale, yellow skin. This gem stands at about 5'11" with pitch black eyeballs and honey-yellow pupils with subtle bags under his eyes, and his golden-yellow hair is shoulder length decent sideburns, well combed, and luxurious, occasionally glistening in the sunlight. There's an odd, sun-shaped insignia on his back as well that travels up his back and to his neck.
Giovanni also dons a series of pitch-black clothing to conceal his skin from the sun. A black Turtle neck, a black overcoat that goes down to his knees, black slacks, a pair of sunglasses with large, round lenses, a black wide-brim hat with a neon-yellow bond, he also dons black and neon-yellow leather dress shoes, black gloves, and pair of golden earrings.
Personality: Giovanni has a strong sense of moral justice, bond by a code of honor to fight for what's right against the impurities of the universe. Determined to fight a good fight to bloody end, even if victory is out of the question- so long as it supports his moral stand point of supporting innocent humans. Unlike most gems, Giovanni has a cold-hearted reaction to any human criminals, and will beat most criminals he finds to a hideous mess then haul them off to jail.
Mostly aware of his heritage through studying it for an elongated time, Giovanni is disgusted with the actions of Homeworld from what he learned about them. But cares little for siding with the Crystal Gems because of minor differences in their morals.
Giovanni is a perfectionist in many ways, this comes out the most in combat or dealing with newbies. If training someone, Giovanni will settle for no-less than the very best. Even insulting experienced individuals for making small mistakes. This leads to him butting heads with a lot of people. But despite his perfectionist nature, Giovanni has a helping nature and will save anyone in need of saving. Occasionally following up the saving with some manner of lecture.
Likes/Dislikes: Giovanni likes helping the innocent, fighting the good fight, putting 'amateurs' in their place swiftly, wearing black clothing and retaining his honor of being a vigilant warrior for the human race. What Giovanni dislikes, to name a few. Is dealing with ornery amateurs who assume Giovanni doesn't know what he speaks of when he points out the faults in their craft, and as much as he loves putting such amateurs in their place, Giovanni dislikes a disappointing fight. Perfectionist dislikes aside, Giovanni is disgusted with what the Kindergartens did to Earth and by extent is disgusted with Homeworld and the Triarchy. But he also doesn't care much for the Crystal Gems as their beliefs in dealing with humans contradict a lot.
Fears: Giovanni shows little fear in anything aside from losing control of his powers and failing to save the innocents, he also fears a world where Homeworld killed Earth successfully, which is why he will fight any Homeworld gems who support their cause without hesitation.
Weapon: Upon absorbing enough sunlight, Giovanni can summon a rapier made of the sunlight he absorbed, the blade burns those who stand opposed to Giovanni in battle and can slice through metal and stone with some effort. Alternatively, Giovanni can summon a flash bomb which uses up a majority of his energy. This is used commonly as an escape tactic or a tool to move around the opponent with ease.
Ability 1: Charges up solar energy, gaining 3 charges for every post I make. His body grows hotter over time, even too hot for him to handle. So he has to keep the absorption and exertion in check meaning he can only store 35 charges. The charging is also weakened at night, only gaining 1 charge for every post I make, when in direct moonlight.
Ability 2:Solar exertions (consumes charges to do these abilities)
Kinetic burst (costs 6 Charges):
Transfers solar energy into a burst of kinetic energy stopping any solid objects flying towards you.
Small Heal (costs 3):
Heals minor wounds on him, small cuts, bruises ect.
Weapon summoning (rapier) (costs 2):
Summons his rapier, charges are only consumed for the summoning of the weapon, not its use.
Weapon Summoning (Flash Bomb) (costs 15 charges):
a Medium sized flash bomb that can be used for evasion and escape. The flash has a 13 foot radius
Supernova: (cost 35):
Tourmaline finally overloads his form creating a burning sphere around him, this radius expands to 23 feet over 5 seconds before receding back inwards to his form. The radius is able to burn most gem's form and exposure to the field for more than 4 seconds will most likely poof a gem.
History: Much of the history surrounding Giovanni's earliest points in life are shrouded in mystery. What is known is that Giovanni eventually made his way into Rome, Italy in 1787 and befriended a former Italian solider turned tailor who lost a leg long ago. Giovanni Apollo was named after the tailor's late son who died of an illness earlier that year, and appeared to have various similarities to the Yellow Tourmaline. After some time, the tailor taught Giovanni to defend himself, which is when they learned Giovanni got stronger with sunlight and where Giovanni learned to always fight with honor and determination, hence why Giovanni's last name is 'Apollo'.
Giovanni and the tailor trained for years and managed to perfect Giovanni's swordsman ship, at this point it was close to the man's time to shed his mortal coil and move on. So he advised Giovanni to leave the city to travel the country and do great things for the people of Italy. And he did try, he traveled the globe and distributed justice where ever evil was, all the while he studied his heritage at this point and discovered that there were places like the location he emerged from all across the country, and probably beyond. They all looked desolate and dead, the pattern he noticed sickened him, and so he vowed to make the beings responsible for these atrocities face justice at all costs. Though his hunt for these beings has turned up little to nothing at all.
Several centuries later, Giovanni has settled down in a small village near Rome when he noticed a gem, a Star Sapphire, making his way through town. Giovanni didn't confront them, but it was initiative enough to investigate the possibility of other gems being on the planet, and see if they were threats to Earth, or allies. It took some time to gather the info, and after many dead ends, inconclusive evidence. A lead came up less than a year ago, a band of gems located on US soil. They were reclusive, for the most part, and nobody knew anything about them. This sparked Giovanni to eventually leave Italy and go investigate this group of gems less than a week ago after finally gaining a passport and plane tickets to make his way to America.
Character Arcs: Giovanni finds the Crystal Gems, and they discuss Gem politics, and technology.
Giovanni and the Crystal Gems clash over their moral differences resulting in Giovanni's defeat.
The Crystal Gems help Giovanni redeem himself, and teach him to lessen up on his aggressiveness.
Giovanni eventually see's the error of his violent, outdated ways and works to better himself as a person.
