Carbide chuckles and wipes away a mock bead of sweat as she tucks her hand back in against her side, blushing a bit about how stilly-mushy she must have sounded there. It tended to happen from time to time, especially after a quieter 1 on 1 conversation. When she was about in a crowd it was much harder for her to focus in on specific emotions, but smaller conversations let her focus in on herself and the other gem.
"Hehe.. well its good you're not asking for obedience, cuz I'm pretty sure that's what prompted Opalite to eventually pitch a fit and fly off, leaving me kinda stranded on a backwater volcanic world. I figured He just didn't want to deal with my presence on the trip home, and meant for me to use the nearby galaxy warp to get back.. big energy expense I know, when there was already a ship in the area, but when I got to the pad, that's when i was kinda... Orbital Strike-ded... struck... shot at from low orbit and barely came though with my gem core ..er.. mostly in tact *she leans forward and displays a few small plasma burns on one side of her core set high between her shoulder blades, blemishes rather than outright damage* ... anyway.. babbling again."
She huffs and leans back some, letting the falling droplets of pinkish water from the statue's eyes patter quietly on her visor and face, getting her hair heavier and wetter than it had before, but still, it felt nice.
"I appreciate you respecting my free will, it actually takes a bit of getting used to, hearing it come from.. well.. any leader at all. None the less, I may not be too old but I was shot off to over 500 worlds while I worked for the diamonds, not a lot, but enough to get a sense of a few different places, and see how Home Worlds reckless policies can produce some.. pretty grim outcomes. Part of me wishes I could say that I'm willing to help simply because of a grudge over almost being melted to lifeless slag, but I am worried for other worlds, this world and EVEN Home World, because if we don't deal with our little schism here and now, eventually our race will have made too many enemies, and I think you know that Its not like our kind has a lot of friends.. on a planetary dominant technologically advanced species scale."
